After the introduction into the topic and its relevancy, customer experience management and its relation to third-party cookies for digital advertising are explained. Common methods to track customers along the customer journey are established; one of them being third-party cookies. The third chapter presents all categories of web cookies and describes their purposes. Thereafter, data privacy legislations, which regulate cookie usage and consumer rights are introduced. In the same chapter, a timeline of the third-party cookie phase-out is given and cookies’ efficacy for advertising is analysed. In spite of marketer’s reliance on third-party cookies, the deprecation of them might present marketers with new opportunities.
The EU Taxonomy is the first standardized and comprehensive classification system for sustainable economic activities. This paper provides the public interested in sustainability issues with an overview of the current state of non-financial reporting and the alignment with the EU Taxonomy. It aims at determining the institutional conditions and reporting practices of banking institutions in Europe. The thesis includes an analysis of non-financial information according to the TCFD recommendations and EU Taxonomy requirements of six banks throughout Germany and Spain during financial year 2020. The results highlight those geographic discrepancies in sustainability reporting will benefit banks who are already reporting in accordance with voluntary frameworks or have more stringent regulations for green financing in place. This paper shows that in the banking industry, comprehensive qualitative descriptions of climate change risk and opportunity have been provided, which will avail the consideration of the “do no significant harm” principle of the Taxonomy. Additionally, the social criteria of the EU Taxonomy are consistent with those of most existing systems and may thus be implemented by most banks already. The analysis also revealed that compared to existing frameworks, the EU Taxonomy's environmental criteria differ greatly. Accordingly, meeting the existing framework's criteria by itself is not enough to attain a high taxonomy alignment for financial institutions. Furthermore, a significant amount of data retrieval and analysis will be required by the EU Taxonomy. The lack of quantitative data in most financial institutions will require intensive improvement since this issue has not been adequately addressed yet.
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe and critically evaluate the impact of digital marketing on sales and marketing performance overall. For this purpose, this paper uses two main approaches: theoretical and practical. Firstly, starting from the basics of the human communication process, this paper explains the way people communicate with each other and the way it impacted and developed the main marketing channels: both traditional and digital ones, simultaneously outlining the main differences from the communication model’s standpoint. Afterward, the theoretical background section proves the increasing importance of digital marketing in the changing business environment while explaining the main terms and definitions in this area. Lastly, the theoretical part presents the limitations of the traditional marketing funnel, which drove the development of the alternative digital sales funnel, at the same time shaping the KPI's (key performance indicators) to be oriented and the consumer behavior as a whole.
After providing an in-depth theoretical background, the subsequent chapter of this bachelor thesis strives to assess the impact of digital marketing on sales performance based on practical examples. In order to get more prominent and unbiased evidence of digital marketing's effectiveness, I chose three businesses of different sizes and branches, which used digital marketing for diverse purposes. Moreover, each of the three case studies incorporates the interviews of experts. All the invited experts are working or used to work for these companies in marketing-related positions and have extensive knowledge of the marketing strategies being used.
Many fields of science and business are currently undergoing technological changes. Possible future prospects and the impact of our ever increasing reliance on digital algorithms are key factors influencing this field of research. However, only few confront contemporary digitalization with socially unjustified effects. Therefore, this work focuses on the main research question: Can the transparency and fairness concerning the probabilistic distributions of computer based selections be ensured? Or, in contrary, do the current power ranks promote an amplification of bias found in training datasets that swiftly impact marginalized populations at scale. We are still a long way from intellectual and creative thinking computer networks. Our current notion of artificial intelligence (AI) is based on neural networks, which can emit individual "thought processes" based on historical data and homogeneous developer teams. This is not self contained thinking but merely a copy of human thought patterns, which may well be affected by discrimination, e.g. job selection,
credit-ratings, healthcare or other types of personal appraisals. Machine Learning (ML), so far, can not filter out individual human abilities based on historical data and discriminating coding.
This work discusses possible reasons for biased opinions of machine learning classification systems. Also, the social question focusing on gender roles and potential winners and losers through technological changes are explored. Finally, approaches for anti discriminatory use of AI are proposed.

This thesis deals with the Solidarity Economy in relation to its economic environment. Thereby an explanation of terms of the Solidarity Economy and the current dominant economic system is given. Solidarity enterprises are analysed with regard to the question to which extent solidarity-based enterprises are able to uphold their political, economic and solidarity aim within a capitalistic market economy. In order to do so, the existing field of tension between a company’s aspiration and the economic market economy will be analysed.
Four conflict areas will be identified and examined on the basis of two case studies. As a main finding, this thesis reveals, that the success of the solidarity-based enterprises depends on three factors: firstly, on the acceptance of the potential conflict area by the organisations, secondly on their willingness to compromise and to make every compromise transparent, and thirdly on the support of politics, state and society.
In this work the business case and model of a closed freelancer matching platform named COMATCH is introduced to explain the company’s internationalisation and growth prac-tises. Underlining the utmost importance of networks in today`s B2B environment of the consulting industry, the case shows where digitalisation is nevertheless gaining ground, and at which speed. Firstly, underlying principles are reviewed (the revised Uppsala model, the born global firm, the gazelle theory) and the current growth and change of the consulting industry displayed. Then, by generating an inside-out look of the two-sided marketplace based on qualitative research, the case companies perspective is developed. Both approaches are concluded to extract managerial implications. Lastly, possibilities and limitations of the work and approach are discussed.
The e-commerce continues to grow. New, innovative and more flexible delivery offers are part of a competitive environment in the business to customer sector. Thereby, the focus is often set on the speed of a delivery. How quickly do online companies have to deliver their products in order to meet customers’ expectations? Does same day delivery represent a demanded service in future?
The aim of this work is to figure out the importance of a same day delivery for the future German e-commerce. Firstly, the author explains the theoretical background on distribution logistics, its linkage to marketing and the concept of same day delivery.
Moreover, customer expectations of delivery forms have been analysed with the aid of an online survey. Those results have been contrasted with estimations of experts in the sector. This theoretical and empirical background leads to conclusive results. Same day delivery represents these days and will in future a niche market. Until now, this concept has not been an essential and demanded delivery form for the mainstream. Nevertheless, it can be used as a marketing tool in order to promote certain product groups within peak seasons.
Industry 4.0, the vision and term once created by the German government includes companies to digitise their processes, developing them from the state of a traditional, mostly non-transparent supply chain towards a data-driven, fully connected supply chain ecosystem. A few trends have been gaining importance in the recent years within this vision, especially in the supply chain management. Standardisation and automation of processes in the form of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) as well as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are trends which many experts predict will be responsible for a massive future change of how processes are carried out and employees will work. This is often accompanied by the fear of employment loss and other possible risks.
This bachelor thesis analyses the impact of RPA and AI in supply chains and derives practical recommendations for implementing these technologies. Hence, the current expertise from the literature and various whitepapers was incorporated and evaluated in order to gain a deeper insight into the two technologies and their requirements for a successful implementation. This work also distinguishes the effects that the use of the respective technologies can have on the processes as well as the employees involved in them and their work. The results of the theoretical research were evaluated and validated by the conduction of expert interviews. Supply chain experts covering the field of potential users, suppliers and consultants provide an insight into their individual assessment of the current technological maturity of the supply chains, which chances and risks they see and what future developments they expect. It can be said that the benefits outweigh the risks clearly and that companies should deal with the introduction of both technologies in their processes. In the long term, the digital transformation cannot be avoided and competitive advantages can only arise if it is initiated in
the near future.
In this paper the concept of startups is explained in more detail, occasions for the valuation of these type of companies and the procedures for determining the company value presented. Two processes, the Multiples approach and the DCF method are applied to one example case. Finally, the results of both methods are compared and evaluated. For future work, there are also further possibilities for company valuation by young companies.
The world of organizations and their human resource management is changing. Challenges such as demographic development, the increasing transparency of the labor market and a continuous shift from manual labor to mental work intensifies the talent shortage, especially in times of high unemployment. Accordingly, organizations are searching for methods to face these challenges in the long term. One such approach is talent relationship management (TRM), as a recruiting approach to obtain qualified employees to staff strategically hard-to-fill positions.
The present Bachelor thesis examines the effectiveness of communication channels to reach young talents with TRM practices in a cross-sectional study, including how attractive those practices are for talents, especially talent communities. This examination takes place against the background of a potential discrepancy between offered and experienced TRM practices.
The sample is based upon a one-off piece of market research involving 128 valid participants, divided into 77 female and 51 male candidates, with an average age of 24.7 years. The acquisition of the participants for the survey occurred through several social media platforms, whereby the link to the online survey was posted on Facebook, Xing and LinkedIn. The online questionnaire was developed for this study and includes self-constructed questions to the offerings and expectations of TRM practices.
From the results, it can be derived that overall the company side meets the expectations of the candidates regarding TRM practices. The effective communication channels to reach young talents are electronic ones, which companies are using to address the talents. Especially with the direct sourcing instrument of talent community, they are offering the talents an attractive TRM practice from their perspective. Nonetheless, it is problematic that the TRM practice of talent community does not reach the talents because the communities themselves are unknown.

Es werden jeweils Empfehlungen zur Implementierung von Internationalisierungsstrategien entwickelt. Die angeführten Beispiele fokussieren den Typus der Hochschulen für angewandte Wissenschaften (Fachhochschulen).
Every economy is subject to variations, consisting of highs and lows in interest rates, inflation, deflation or recession. Those ups and downs are normal and most of the time predictable. Nevertheless do governments and central banks cope with them differently depending on their country of origin and according to the perpetrator that triggered them. During the last 15 years three major economies suffered from illiquid markets and recessions. Primarily the Bank of Japan (BOJ) has started in the early 2000s with their Quantitative Easing Policy to fight the looming deflation and is still on going without an imminent ending to be near. The United States Federal Reserve System (FED) began in the late 2000s until 2014 with their Quantitative Easing (QE) package after the economy suffered from a severe recession caused by the global financial crisis. Last but not least, the European Central Bank (ECB) has started officially in 2015 with a QE programme and lately announced several steps to be implemented within the next years.
But what is the background of quantitative easing? Do we have to be afraid that quantitative easing does not stimulate macroeconomic activities or maybe just for a short period of time? And the most important question: What impact does quantitative easing have on the real economy?
This Bachelor Thesis describes three different approaches of each Central Bank and the impacts each policy has on the macroeconomic environment. It will give the reader an overview over three diverse systems, starting with Japan, a individual economy, completely ruled by one Central Bank in a banking based system. Continuing with the USA, based on the Federal Reserve System and 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks, which have to apply policies for all 50 States and is widely known as market-based. And closing with the European Central Bank, which has to take 19 Eurozone member states and their various economic outputs under control. Thereby the European system is widely known as a market-based system, those underlays strong influences from national governmental policies within each member country.
