ORCID

ORCID
ORCiD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a non-profit organization that distributes unique identification numbers (ORCID iDs) for authors.

The ORCiD is therefore an identifier for researchers, which, among other things, makes it easier to maintain the list of publications. Through the ORCiD, everyone can clearly network with their own publications, research data and other products of the research process (e.g. software).

Project partners of ORCiD DE are the Helmholtz Open Science Coordination Office at the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences, the German National Library and the Bielefeld University Library. The project was initiated by the German Initiative for Network Information (DINI).
