Wir stellen einen neuen Ansatz vor um den Test und die Optimierung von Steuergeräten mit evolutionären Verfahren zu automatisieren und zu vereinfachen. Hierfür wurde ein Simulationsmodell des Testroboters erstellt, das den Optimierungsalgorithmen als Stützfunktion dient. Die Kombination der Simulation mit evolutionären Algorithmen erlaubt eine schnelle und systematische Auswertung der Roboterbewegungen, um optimierte Bewegungsparameter zu erhalten. Anhand der Optimierungsergebnisse kann die Fahrzeugsteuerung des Testfahrzeugs angepasst werden. Dieser neue Optimierungsansatz ist eine kostensparende, strukturierte und einfache Alternative zu aktuell eingesetzten Optimierungsprozeduren.
Comparison of Control Strategies by the Example of the Cooling Fan Control of a Mobile Machine

In order to compare different control strategies the cooling system of a mobile machine has been chosen. The example control problem was to run the cooling system for m control variables and with n≤m correction variables in a way to minimize power in order to save energy and to reduce fan noise while maintaining sufficient cooling. The plant is nonlinear. Three different kinds of controllers have been investigated in several variations, i.e. fuzzy control, PI(D) and model predictive control (MPC). 14 different criteria have been used for evaluation. In many respects a linear controller with fuzzy prediction proved best, in particular the prediction model can handle nonlinear properties of the plant.

The optical glasses have increased refractive indices and are useful for making space-saving and light-weight imaging optics with lenses of different glass types for use in different objects travelling in space. The optical glasses are suitable for production of optics having low total weight, which is decisive for space applications. These space glasses have high UV- and VIS-transmittance in a range of between 300 and 800 nm and high stability of transmittance over a period of years, because their aging has been greatly limited.

To provide an optically uniform quality component which is a large size optical transparency component such as a lenz, prism, mirror or the like. ;SOLUTION: The optical component comprises an optical glass which comprises 35 to 70 wt.% SiO2, 17 to 35 wt.% Al2O3, 3 to 17 wt.% P2O5, 0 to 6 wt.% Li2O, 0.5 to 4 wt.% MgO, 0.5 to 3 wt.% ZnO, a maximum of 1 wt.% CaO, a maximum of 0.5 wt.% BaO, 0.5 to 6 wt.% TiO2, 0.5 to 3 wt.% ZrO2, 0 to 1 wt.% Na2O, 0 to 1 wt.% K2O, a maximum of 2 wt.% of refining agents, and a maximum of 1 wt.% of a coloring oxide and other impurities, and has at least 50 mm maximum thickness.

The substratum (1) has two set of recesses (2, 3, 4, 7, 8) formed in a rear face (16), where the substratum is produced from a monolithic block of material including a lithium- aluminum- silicon type glass ceramic material. Set of spacers (5, 6, 9, 10) are defined between one set of recesses (2, 3, 4) and/ or the two set of recesses. The space glasses have a composition, in wt. % based on oxide content, including SiO2, 12-45; B2O3, 0-4; Al2O3, 0-4; TiO2, 0-5; PbO, 50-82; Na2O, 0-4; K2O, 0-8; and at least 0.1 wt. % of a total amount of at least three doping agents selected from CeO2, MoO3, Bi2O3, WO3, Ag2O, SnO2, Sb2O3 and As2O3. Light-weight and space-saving optical systems for outer space applications can be made with these space glasses, which have high UV- and VIS-transmittance and high transmittance stability, because of their high radiation resistance based on their dopant content. A preferred process for making the space glass includes melting the above-stated oxide ingredients in a quartz crucible at 1050 DEG C. to 1200 DEG C. to form a melt and refining the melt at 1230 DEG C. to 1350 DEG C.
The space glass has a composition, in wt. % based on oxide content, of: SiO2, 5-65; B2O3, 0-40; Al2O3, 0-12; PbO, 25-50; Na2O 0-8; K2O, 0-20; Sigma alkali metal oxides, at least 0.25; and at least 0.1 wt. % of a total amount of three or more doping agents selected from CeO2, MoO3, Bi2O3, WO3, Ag2O, SnO2, Sb2O3 and As2O3. In addition, it contains one or more of the following doping agents in the following amounts: at most 1 wt. %, CeO2; at most 0.02 wt. %, As2O3; at most 0.3 wt. %, Sb2O3; and at most 0.5 wt. %, SnO2. Light-weight optical systems for space are made from it, because of its high radiation resistance. A preferred process for making space glass includes melting the oxide starting ingredients at 1050 DEG C. to 1200 DEG C. to form a melt and refining the melt at 1230 DEG C. to 1350 DEG C.

Classical short-time Fourier constructions lead to a signal decomposition with a fixed time-frequency resolution. However, having signals with varying features, such time-frequency decompositions are very restrictive. A more flexible and adaptive sampling of the time-frequency plane is achieved by the nonstationary Gabor transform. Here, the resolution can evolve over time or frequency, respectively, by using different windows for the different sampling positions in the time or frequency domain (Multiwindow-frames). This adaptivity in the time-frequency plane leads to a sparser signal representation.
In terms of audio inpainting, i.e., filling in blanks of a depleted audio signal, sparsity in some representation space profoundly influences the quality of the reconstructed signal. We will compare this quality using different nonstationary Gabor transforms and the regular Gabor transform with different types of audio signals.
Ever since the introduction of frames in 1952 [4], the connection between frame theory and decompositions of certain operators, particularly the identity operator, into rank-ones began to be elaborated. Abandoning the idea of restricting to tight frame-like expansions, with respect to systems arising from a single template function, one is led to the concept of resolutions of the identity, with respect to more general systems than the usual rank-one expansions of the identity.
In this study, we will investigate various notions of possible generalizations of optimality criterions for rank-M frames and corresponding multipliers. Explicitly, we will lay stress on continuous M-frames, arising from irreducible group representations of locally compact groups, have a look at its connection to time-frequency analysis and comment on adequate notions of optimality.
Collaborative Knowledge Transfer via Wiki: A Project Based Learning Approach in Software Engineering

Due to the high complexity and numerous abstract processes in the subject Software Engineering (SWE), both, challenges in teaching and in learning arise. The teaching of Software Engineering is attempted by a new didactic approach to convey a deeper understanding of the complexity and the processes of Software Engineering in the context of the course.
The approach complements the classical ex-cathedra lecture with a seminar and a project phase, whereby the direct application of theoretical knowledge is achieved in real-world situations. In addition to the consolidation of factual knowledge, transferable skills, such as presentation, communication and teamwork skills, can be encouraged.
The approach focuses on self-studying as well as collaborative learning. The knowledge gained from team working is multiplied by the Wiki and spread over the whole semester.
Software Engineering is a very complex theme including abstract processes. Thus its university education is even more challenging; in particular in the course of study in mechatronics, in which various subjects are integrated and combined. Due to our experience the students are low motivated concerning the subject "Software Engineering", because of the mixture of technical and interdisciplinary competencies, therefore the subject matter is difficult to teach.
In this paper, we share some experiences, as we have tried to activate students and therefore attempt to deepen their understanding of Software Engineering and its processes. As a central tool of the seminar phase, which is used to combine active and passive learning styles, a Wiki embedded in our learning management system Moodle was introduced.
