Technological Trends and Work – A Mixed Vision
- Surveys the trend toward automation and mechanization in modern society and analyzes the implications of this for proper attitudes toward work and leisure. Two rational solutions to the problem of work and non-work are suggested by Erich FROMM (psychoanalytical approach) and Harvey Cox (approach from Christian faith). Joseph Pieper represents an approach to the problem from the religious rather than the rational aspect.
