OPUS - the institutional repository of the University of Passau

Using OPUS, students and lecturers alike can publish academic research carried out at the University of Passau.

For doctoral candidates, this means they can fulfil the publication requirement for their doctoral award (see 'theses' section).

Articles are published in full and are retrievable from catalogues and search engines, making them freely available to the general public on a permanent basis.

For publication via OPUS, authors need to give the University the non-exclusive right of use of the work in accordance ยง31 sec. 2 of the German Copyright Act (Urheberrechtsgesetz; UrhG).

To publish an article via OPUS, open the 'Publish' menu. In just a few steps, you can upload your article as a pdf document and prepare it for publication.

Please read our Guidelines and help texts.

The OPUS document server is a key aspect of the University's open access initiative.
