The inequality of the global currency system and how it can be transformed toward an equitable system

  • The global currency system leads to unequal outcomes. This paper aims to define the factors that make the dollar-dominated system unequal for economically developing countries and looks at three suggestions on how to improve the system including Stiglitz’s global greenback, Ocampo’s SDR-based global currency, and Eichengreen’s tweaking of the edges.
