The concept of this qualification work is to look at the question of human nature. This subject is narrowed down to an assumption that the human nature is not a solid or given substance but rather a question that needs to be answered. This interpretation is then discussed from a point of view of three thinkers. Those are: Erich Fromm, Mircea Eliade and Carl Gustav Jung, chronologically in this order. Except the original presumption ideas of these men differ quite noticeably, or at least between the two main ones, who are Jung and Fromm. These differences are then presented throughout this work. Ideas of Mircea Eliade are used as a thematic bridge to fill the gap between the two at first seemingly incompatible islands Carl Gustav Jung and Erich Fromm. At the end, an attempt to find certain similarities between the main characters is submitted.
