Considers the expectations (>moral styles<) brought to counseling by the counselee. If the counselor can be sensitive to these issues, he will have a better understanding of what is being said and why. Henry David Aiken and Paul Tillich contributed to levels of understanding the >good< and the meanings of morals. Campus counselors are in a prime place for conversing with disenchanted young persons regarding the issues of decision, commitment and direction in life. The analysis of moral styles (cf. FROMM's character orientations) is a crucial variable in such counseling. Considers several types of problem situations.
