    <title language="eng">Seeking the Equation of State of Non-Compact Lattice QED</title>
    <abstract language="eng">We perform a high statistics calculation of the equation of state for non-compact QED on large lattices. The calculation extends to fermionic correlation lengths of $\approx 8$, and it is combined with a finite size scaling analysis of the lattice data.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Accelerating Hasenbusch's Acceleration of Hybrid Monte Carlo</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Hasenbusch has proposed splitting the pseudo-fermionic action into two parts, in order to speed-up Hybrid Monte Carlo simulations of QCD. We have tested a different splitting, also using clover-improved Wilson fermions. An additional speed-up between 5 and 20\% over the original proposal was achieved in production runs.</abstract>
