However, a sustainable harmonization of e-commerce platforms to the needs of green customers1 is an indispensability to survive for many online merchants in the competitive market in the future. Even today, many of the critical customers of Generation Y face an almost insoluble dilemma. Although they want to benefit from the numerous advantages of online trading, at the same time they also want to act in accordance with their personal values and morals. The resulting tension results in the last resort, either in a purchase, which for reflecting customers, "does not feel good" or in making the decision not to purchase due to the internal discrepancy. The object of the online businesses is, therefore, to largely minimize or eliminate the pressure in order to appeal to those customers who expect the social and environmental responsibilities from online retailers. But who exactly are the customers? How can this balancing act between e-commerce on the one hand and CSR on the other side be mastered?}, language = {en} } @article{TernesJeske2013, author = {Tern{\`e}s, Anabel and Jeske, Denise}, title = {The Impact of CSR Advertisement on Costumer Awareness}, series = {Journal of Cultural and Religious Studies}, volume = {1}, journal = {Journal of Cultural and Religious Studies}, number = {1}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:0298-opus4-3636}, pages = {1 -- 7}, year = {2013}, abstract = {Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a global trend, also in the advertising industry. The purpose of this paper is to show what consumers think about CSR-related advertising and if it changes their buying behavior. An online survey was sent to the target group. It included questions about sustainability in general and questions concerning five different commercials of Coca Cola, Procter \& Gamble, Vodafone, Volkswagen and Suzuki. Some questions had their focus on CSR activities and some on the product. The findings of this study indicate that credibility is most important for a good CSR media campaign. Another result is that the majority of the respondents don“t trust a company more because of a special advertisement, but that they want to find out more about the company and it's social commitment on the internet, if the commercial is touching in this way.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{Ternes2012, author = {Tern{\`e}s, Anabel}, title = {The managers of tomorrow: how well students feel prepared by universities, to behave in terms of CSR}, series = {Porductivity, Investment in Human Capital and the Challenge of Youth Employment.
