This study examines the antecedents and consequences of side effects for coaches in an international sample of 275 coaches in a time-lagged design. Results from structural equation modeling indicated that the number of side effects for coaches is associated with the relationship quality between coach and client. The number of side effects for clients, as well as clients' low goal attainment, decreased coaches' perceived competence and thereby increased the number of side effects for coaches. Coaches who experienced more side effects in coaching perceived more stress and impaired sleep eight weeks later. While substantial scholarly attention has been devoted to the study of the police and judges and their relevance to the rule of law, surprisingly little is known about prosecutors. The aim of this paper is to contribute towards filling this knowledge gap. We first demonstrate the rising importance of prosecutors for criminal justice systems around the world. We identify the independence of prosecution agencies from the other two branches of government as a centrally important characteristic and then proceed to analyze the determinants of de facto prosecutorial independence from a political economy perspective. We find that press freedom, the immunity of parliamentarians and belonging to the common law tradition are positively associated with higher de facto independence.}, language = {en} } @article{Ternes2017, author = {Tern{\`e}s, Anabel}, title = {Auf dem Weg zum verkaufsaktiven Innendienst}, series = {Sales Management Review}, volume = {2017}, journal = {Sales Management Review}, number = {4}, pages = {28 -- 34}, year = {2017}, abstract = {Innen- und Außendienst k{\"o}nnen nicht ohne einander, denn der Erfolg des einen h{\"a}ngt von der Arbeit des anderen ab. The option of co-digestion with vinasse, main liquid waste generated from ethanol production, was investigated under batch regime at mesophilic conditions (37.5 ± 1 °C) and the best mixture was evaluated under semicontinuous regime in stirred-tank reactors. The maximum values for methane yield in batch tests were for V75/P25 and V50/P50 mixtures (on basis of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) percentage added in the mixture), with an average value of 246 N mL CH4 g-1 CODfed, which was 13\% higher than that of press mud alone. A highest methane production rate of 69.6 N mL CH4 g-1 CODfed-1 d-1 was obtained for the mixtureV75/P25. During the experiment carried out in CSTR reactors, the organic loading rate (OLR) was increased from 0.5 up to 2.2 g VS L-1 d-1. Methane yields of 365 L CH4 kg-1 VS and biogas productivities of 1.6 L L-1 were obtained in co-digestion, which was 64\% higher in comparison to mono-digestion. The performance of the process in mono-digestion was less stable than in co-digestion, with a significant fall of methane yield to 1.8 kg VS m-3 d-1, and a partial inhibition of the methanogenic archaeas when the OLR was increased up to 2.2 kg VS m-3 d-1. This paper analyses the role of branding for distributors in the context of a dynamic, competitive and disruptive market ie the lighting industry, as well as exploring the effects of changes in the behaviour and expectations of installers and contractors as the important customer group of electrical wholesalers. Interestingly, there is a dearth of research and data on the subjects of our research. We carried out personal interviews among 141 representatives of wholesalers and distributors and surveyed more than 2,000 electrical installers and contractors across five markets. We used a combination of correspondence and cluster analyses to evaluate the results of our survey and identified five distinct segments of electrical installers across the five countries. Our primary research reveals that price pressure is not the only major challenge facing wholesalers in the future. Adding real customer value through product and service innovations, adopting a customer-centric approach, and managing the transition to digital business are also important concerns. In light of these insights, developing and sustaining an appropriate brand proposition — one that includes knowing and catering to specific installer segments — seems important for electrical wholesalers.
