Die Verstärkung von Spritzgussteilen mit Faserhalbzeugen gewinnt immer mehr an Bedeutung. Für die Einsatztauglichkeit derartiger Bauteile ist die Verbundhaftung zwischen den angespritzten Strukturen und den Faserhalbzeugen essentiell. Der Vortrag befasst sich mit den äußeren und prozesstechnischen Einflüssen zu Erhöhung der Verbundhaftung auf Faserhalbzeugen. Zudem wird ein Einblick in die Prüf und Anlagentechnik in diesem Bereich gegeben.
Differences in road infrastructure, such as capacity, congestion, speed limits affect the productivity and the costs of short-distance freight operations. This article introduces a novel methodology that is based on navigation service data to measure the effects in terms of cost per kilometer using navigation and shipment data. The methodology is applied to five terminals of a forwarding cooperation and has been able to document significant differences in cost per kilometer across the terminals. The research results can be used by logistics service providers to better understand how productivity and thus profitability is affected by the quality of the transportation infrastructure in the particular areas they operate in. Furthermore, the insights will help these companies for better, i.e. cost-based pricing and will allow to document why and where prices need to be adapted.
This research explores logistics-related leverages in the responsibility of retailers for improving the environmental performance of a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) distribution network. We examine opportunities for modifying the network carbon footprint by changing network design variables. To do so, a quantitative distribution network model is established, and 150 scenarios are calculated by modifying real-world shipment data from an existing multinational FMCG manufacturer. Four distribution variables are identified for a many-to-many and a hub-and-spoke network structure. Two variables affect the distribution network and two interfere in the shipment structure by manipulating weight and/or the delivery date. This research sheds light on the extent of the changes in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the distribution network that result from modifications in the logistics variables. The greatest effect on the quantity of GHG emissions can be observed when an anticipation horizon for orders is introduced. When shipments are consolidated and delivered only weekly or biweekly from the manufacturer to the retailers, GHG emissions drop significantly. Another opportunity for retailers to cut down GHG emissions is based on the concept of minimum order quantities where shipments to a retailer location are bundled until a certain weight is reached. Additionally, total GHG emissions of distribution may be reduced by raising the tonnage limit, thereby triggering direct shipments between the manufacturer’s facilities and the retailer locations, or by raising the tonnage limit, which triggers direct shipments in the logistics service provider network. The extent of GHG reduction is assessed for all investigated variables.

Numerous studies from the past five decades have shown that selective retrieval of some studied items can impair recall of other items. This chapter reviews more recent work, in which it is demonstrated that selective memory retrieval has two faces and that it can both impair and improve recall of other items. In this recent work, participants' access to study context during selective retrieval was experimentally manipulated and it was examined whether such manipulation influences the effects of selective retrieval. Access to study context was manipulated using listwise directed forgetting, context-dependent forgetting and time-dependent forgetting. The results consistently showed that selective retrieval impairs recall of other memories if access to study context during retrieval is largely maintained, but that selective retrieval can improve recall if study context access is impaired. The findings are explained by a two-factor account, which claims that, in general, selective retrieval does not only trigger inhibition and blocking but also triggers context reactivation processes. The proposal is that primarily inhibition and blocking operate when study context access during selective retrieval is largely maintained, whereas primarily context reactivation processes operate when study context access is impaired. Current findings on the two faces of selective retrieval are well consistent with this theoretical view.
The classical results of the binomial and negative binomial probability distribution are generalized by means of homogeneous Discrete Time Markov Chains to series of stochastically independent random trials. These have not only two possible outcomes but two groups of them -- different kinds of successes and failures with occurrence probabilities depending on the outcome of the previous trial. This generalization allows a uniform view of occupation time, first passage time and recurrence time. Our results are consequently derived and presented in matrix form, the probabilities as well as the moments. They can be applied to all Discrete Time Markov Chains, especially in computer capacity planning, performability and economics.
Due to the application of elastic interlayers for acoustic decoupling, wood screws to connect timber elements are stressed beneath axial and shear loads additionally by a bending moment. The equations to calculate the load carrying capacity of wood-wood-connections according to the Eurocode 5, lose their validity in case of application of interlayers with low shear resistance. Furthermore, the increasing flexibilities of the joints should be considered for a realistic static modelling.
Aim of the present work is to analyze the mechanical load bearing characteristics of wall-ceiling-connections of cross laminated timber with and without elastic interlayers. On the basis of experiments as well as analytical approaches, the load-deformation-behavior is discussed and contrasted to the current standards.
This paper concerns the development and validation of Finite Element Methods (FEM) to simulate the dynamic response of a dowelled-joist timber floor. This is a solid floor comprised of timber joists connected using timber dowels with individual assemblies connected using inclined metal screws. The focus is on the structural dynamics in the low-frequency range up to 200 Hz which is the relevant range for impact sound insulation and vibration serviceability. Dowel connections between the joists that formed each assembly were modelled using either rigid or spring connectors in the FEM models. The validation against experimental modal analysis showed that both approaches were valid in terms of the eigenfrequencies, Modal Assurance Criterion (MAC) and the spatial-average velocity with point excitation. Whilst the FEM model with spring connectors had a higher number of correlated modes in the MAC analysis, this required removal of many spurious modes before predicting the response. The validated models were used to demonstrate the potential in predicting assessment parameters for vibration serviceability that are contained in EN 1995-1-1 (Eurocode 5). This predictive approach to the evaluation of vibration serviceability has the advantage in that it can be used for non-standard timber floors with non-standard boundary conditions or floor plans.
Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor devices are promised to be a good alternative to Silicon (Si) semiconductors in future motor inverters for variable frequency drives (VFDs). They combine low on state resistance and low switching losses with a high blocking voltage capability. Compared to actual inverters based on insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) the pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency for efficient operation can be increased by a factor of 5 to 10, extending the PWM frequency range up to 500 kHz. This allows the use of motor filters with small component size. As a result, high motor efficiency, low torque ripple, high control bandwidth and nearly ideal sinusoidal output voltages are achieved. Therefore this inverters can be used for high speed spindle motors and dynamic servo drives. This paper focus on the design of a hybrid sine wave filter consisting of an analog and a digital part. The filter is optimized to achieve low power loss and high current control bandwidth. A 3-phase GaN motor inverter operating at 200 kHz PWM frequency at 400 V DC-link voltage verifies the system design.
Increasing the switching frequency has been one of the most beneficial advancements in modern power electronics. This trend has been enabled by progress in power semiconductors resulting in increased power densities, efficiencies and control dynamics. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of three different circuit carrier technologies on switching power loss of 650 V hardswitching GaN devices. Limitations and solutions for half-bridge circuits operating at MHz-switching are investigated by modeling and experiments on a prototype.
Im vom BMWi geförderten Forschungsprojekt Niedrigst-Energie-Hotel wurde ein Bestandsgebäude mithilfe eines umfassenden Sanierungskonzeptes zu einem energiesparenden Nur-Strom-Gebäude entwickelt. Eine höchst wärmegedämmte Hülle, komplett neue Anlagentechnik und intelligente Verknüpfung der Anlagenteile versprechen niedrigen Energiebedarf bei gleichzeitig hohem Komfort.
Doch mit steigender Komplexität der Anlagen steigt auch das Risiko, dass Bestandteile nicht optimal zusammenarbeiten oder sich sogar gegenseitig negativ beeinflussen. Beim energetischen Monitoring werden diese Anlagen und ihre Bestandteile überwacht und deren Energieströme gemessen. Dieses Wissen erlaubt schließlich die detaillierte Bewertung des innovativen Energiekonzepts in der Anwendung und in gewissem Umfang auch die Optimierung der Anlagen.
Zur Auswertung der umfangreichen Datensätze wird das am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (Fachgebiet Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau) entwickelte Werkzeug MoniSoft verwendet. Durch die plattformunabhängige Software werden das Monitoring und die Betriebsanalyse vereinfacht. Seit 2013 wird die Software an der Hochschule Rosenheim maßgeblich mit weiterentwickelt.
Projektziele - Durch das energetische Monitoring können folgende Ziele erreicht werden:

The growing size and complexity of software in embedded systems poses new challenges to the safety assessment of embedded control systems. In industrial practice, the control software is mostly treated as a black box during the system's safety analysis. The appropriate representation of the failure propagation of the software is a pressing need in order to increase the accuracy of safety analyses. However, it also increase the effort for creating and maintaining the safety analysis models (such as fault trees) significantly. In this work, we present a method to automatically generate Component Fault Trees from Continuous Function Charts. This method aims at generating the failure propagation model of the detailed software specification. Hence, control software can be included into safety analyses without additional manual effort required to construct the safety analysis models of the software. Moreover, safety analyses created during early system specification phases can be verified by comparing it with the automatically generated one in the detailed specification phased.
Safety assurance is a major challenge in the design of modern embedded systems that has become increasingly difficult in recent years. Growing system sizes and the rise of Cyber-Physical systems confront safety engineers with large sets of configurations to be analyzed. Current approaches are usually carried out at design time and do not address the need for automated assessments in the field. With Component Fault Trees (CFTs) there exists a component-based methodology that enables an efficient modular composition of safety artifacts. The combined model is a system-level CFT that can be analyzed by means of popular Fault Tree Analysis techniques that are widely accepted in the industry. However, when composing models, their interfacing elements must be connected manually which impedes the automation of the procedure. In this work, we introduce the notion of flow types that represent a particular kind of component interaction and define a taxonomy of related failure behavior. By annotating CFTs with types, a machine-readable vocabulary is provided that allows for an automated interconnection of their interfaces. This way, the automatic composition of models according to system architecture is enabled, allowing for automated safety assessments on system-level. We demonstrate the feasibility of our approach using an example ethylene vaporization unit.

Die DIN 4109 regelt die Anforderungen an den Schallschutz in Gebäuden sowie den Nachweis der Einhaltung dieser Anforderungen. Im Juli 2016 erschien die komplett überarbeitete und neu strukturierte „neue“ DIN 4109. Im Vortrag werden wesentliche Änderungen, die neuen Rechenverfahren und die relevanten Bauteilkataloge kurz erläutert. Änderungen, die sich speziell für die schalltechnische Planung und Ausführung des Trockenbaus ergeben, werden anhand von praktischen Beispielen aufgezeigt. Damit soll ein Gefühl für Möglichkeiten und Grenzen in der Anwendung der neuen Norm vermittelt werden.
Excessive amounts of nutrients and dissolved organic matter in freshwater bodies affect aquatic ecosystems. In this study, the spatial and temporal variability in nitrate (NO3−), dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) was analyzed in the Selke (Germany) river continuum from three headwaters draining 1–3 km2 catchments to two downstream reaches representing spatially integrated signals from 184–456 km2 catchments. Three headwater catchments were selected as archetypes of the main landscape units (land use × lithology) present in the Selke catchment. Export regimes in headwater catchments were interpreted in terms of NO3−, DOC and SRP land-to-stream transfer processes. Headwater signals were subtracted from downstream signals, with the differences interpreted in terms of in-stream processes and contributions from point sources. The seasonal dynamics for NO3− were opposite those of DOC and SRP in all three headwater catchments, and spatial differences also showed NO3− contrasting with DOC and SRP. These dynamics were interpreted as the result of the interplay of hydrological and biogeochemical processes, for which riparian zones were hypothesized to play a determining role. In the two downstream reaches, NO3− was transported almost conservatively, whereas DOC was consumed and produced in the upper and lower river sections, respectively. The natural export regime of SRP in the three headwater catchments mimicked a point-source signal (high SRP during summer low flow), which may lead to overestimation of domestic contributions in the downstream reaches. Monitoring the river continuum from headwaters to downstream reaches proved effective to jointly investigate land-to-stream and in-stream transport, and transformation processes.
Ecological theory predicts that the relative importance of benthic to planktonic primary production usually changes along the rivers' continuum from a predomination of benthic algae in lower stream orders to a predomination of planktonic algae at higher orders. Underlying mechanisms driving the interaction between algae in these habitats, its controlling factors and consequences for riverine ecosystems are, however, only partly understood. We present a mechanistic analysis of the governing ecological processes using a simplified, numerical model and examine how abiotic factors and biotic interactions influence benthic and planktonic algae by changing resource competition. We compare the outcome of the model with the results of a factorial mesocosm experiment mimicking the parameter spaces of the model. The results show a remarkable similarity with regard to the temporal development of benthic and pelagic algal biomass and shifting dominance patterns. In particular we analyse the effects of the pathways of nutrient supply (upwelling from the hyporheic zone, direct supply to the surface water, or via both pathways) and grazing in a gradient of river depths. Our results show that detachment of benthic algae, sinking of planktonic algae and the pathway of nutrient supply are key processes determining the respective algal biomass distributions particularly in shallow and intermediate deep systems. Increasing nutrient supply increases algal biomasses, but does not change the general pattern of the interactions. Decreasing light supply decreases the dominance of planktonic algae, but increases dissolved nutrients. At intermediate to high grazing rates algal biomass can be controlled by grazers, but however, at high grazing rates, dissolved nutrients accumulate in the surface water. Our results indicate that nutrient pathways, resource competition and internal control by grazing need to be considered explicitly for the understanding and explanation of eutrophication phenomena in riverine ecosystems. As a consequence, ecologically effective eutrophication management of running water systems has to go beyond the control of nutrient emissions or the achievement of limiting threshold values in the receiving waters, but requires the consideration of the nutrient pathways (surface water versus groundwater) and the shifting biological controls from lower to higher order stream ecosystems.
Der Beitrag zeigt die bauordnungsrechtlichen Anforderungen allgemein uns speziell hinsichtlich des Brandschutzes an nichttragende innere Trennwände auf. Dazu werden formalen Randbedingungen für die Nachweisführung, insbesondere mit Blick auf nach der EU-Bauprodukte-Verordnung CE-gekennzeichnete Produkte und Bausätze für Trennwände dargestellt.
Zum Schutz gegen unzumutbare Belästigungen aus fremden Wohnbereichen werden in der DIN 4109 Anforderungen an die Schalldämmung der Trennbauteile zwischen den
Wohnbereichen gestellt.
Diese Anforderungen können von heute üblichen
Konstruktionen bei fehlerfreier Ausführung sowohl in Holzbauweise als auch in Massivbauweise problemlos eingehalten werden. Dies spiegelt sich auch bei Güteprüfungen der Luft
-und Trittschall-dämmung am Bau wider.
Bei Umfragen unter den Bewohnern von Mehrfamilienhäusern
wird jedoch häufig die Trittschallübertragung der Trenndecke als störendeGeräuschquelle genannt. Die Beurteilung der Trittschallübertragung von Trenndecken anhand
des bewerteten Norm

Trittschallpegels im Bau als alleinige Bewertungsgröße
scheint somit unabhängig von der Bauweise nich
t ausreichend zu sein, um dem subjektiven Empfinden des Bewohners gerecht zu werden.
Als Voraussetzung für die Auswahl geeigneter Deckenkonstruktionen
immehrgeschossigen Holzbau wird deshalb in Abschnitt 2
zunächst ein zutreffendes Beurteilungskriterium für die
Trittschallübertragung gewählt
und Wege zur konstruktiven Umsetzung aufgezeigt. Bei der
Luftschalldämmung von Trennwänden und Trenndecken in
der Geschossbauweise spielt der Anteil der Flankenübertragung eine wesentliche Rolle, wie die Beispiele ausgeführter
Objekte in Abschnitt 3 zeigen.
Um diese Anteile der Flankenübertragung genauer berücksichtigen zu können und eine wirtschaftlichere Planung zu ermöglichen wird ein Forschungsprojekt durchgeführt, auf dessen Inhalte in Abschnitt

vorgestellt werden.
Schallschutz von Massivholzkonstruktionen und Prognose von Trittschallpegeln an Holzbalkendecken

Bio-based products show a great potential to reduce the dependence on fossil resources. Germany currently has a forerunner role in the EU, using biomass as the same resource base for material and energetic utilisation.
Beech wood is hyped in both ways: In material usage directly e.g., in the building sector to balance the possible scarcity of soft wood in the future, as well as indirectly as a feedstock for biorefineries, representing a long-term alternative to the fossil-based industry, and secondly, as energetic use due to its excellent burning quality.
The BIOECONOMY CLUSTER sees itself as an actor in a difficult tension field within implementation of the wood-based Bioeconomy. With a total stocking volume of about 635 million m3, beech is the most abundant hardwood tree species in Germany. Nevertheless, beech wood-based biorefineries compete in a difficile tension field.
One crucial factor is the reliable supply of raw materials - a consistent biomass quality, season-independent availability and efficient logistics of the raw material.
However, the production processes are technically feasible; thus, finally, there is no guarantee for selling the bio-based products to the obtained price.
How to overcome the strong tension field in the beech-based Bioeconomy? Different selected examples show possible approaches. To manage the wood-based Bioeconomy and the beech wood supply chain effectively, the influencing of factors and the managing of the same is crucial.
The problem dealt with in this paper is the analytical determination of the attitude of a rigid body which undergoes a given rate profile. Usually the attitude is determined by solving the kinematic differential equation numerically. For long lasting movements the outcome can cost computation time plus encountered losses in accuracy, which can be disturbing especially in optimization problems. This contribution solves the kinematic differential equation for certain rate profiles exactly and compares the results in accuracy and computation time with the standard procedures.
Das deutsche Kinder- und Jugendhilferecht normiert in seinem § 1 Deutsches Sozialgesetz, Achtes Buch (SGB VIII) ein Recht auf Erziehung, das mit spezifischen Erziehungszielen verbunden ist. Der vorliegende Artikel zeichnet die historische Entwicklung und Veränderung dieser Erziehungsziele nach und zeigt anhand einer Diskursanalyse neuerer Verhandlungen um das Kinder- und Jugendhilferecht, wie Erziehung und ihre Ziele mit Blick auf das generationale Ordnen verhandelt werden.
Introduction: Two widely used outcome measures to assess functioning in neurological rehabilitation are the Functional Independence Measure (FIM™) and the Barthel Index.
The current study aims to establish the equivalence of the total score of the FIM™ motor scale and the Barthel Index through the application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, and Rasch measurement theory.
Methods: Secondary analysis of a large sample of patients with stroke, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis, undergoing rehabilitation was conducted. All patients were assessed at the same time on both the FIM™ and the Barthel Index. The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health Linking Rules were used to establish conceptual coherency between the 2 scales, and the Rasch measurement model to establish an exchange of the total scores.
Results: Using the FIM™ motor scale, items from both scales linked to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health d4 Mobility or d5 Self-care chapters. Their co-calibration satisfied the assumptions of the Rasch model for each of 3 diagnostic groups. A ceiling effect was observed for the Barthel Index when contrasted against the FIM™ motor scale.
Conclusion: Having a Rasch interval metric to transform scores between the FIM™ motor scale and Barthel Index is valuable for monitoring functioning, meta-analysis, quality audits and hospital benchmarking.
The multi-disciplinary research project “Vibroacoustic analysis in the planning process of timber constructions“ carried out in cooperation between the University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim, the ift Rosenheim and the Technical University Munich is a comprehensive study of direct as well as flanking structure-borne and airborne sound insulation of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) elements and their junctions.
The aim is to optimize and simplify the acoustical planning process of wooden multi-storey buildings and thereby to contribute to the increase growth of timber construction industry in Europe. For a prediction of the acoustical performance of solid wood constructions, the vibration reduction index Kij is needed.
The vibration reduction index can be determined i.a. of the direction-averaged junction velocity level difference and the structural reverberation time. Both quantities need to be measured according to EN ISO 10848.
Alternatively, vibration reduction indices for a T- or cross-junction can be derived following the procedures described in prEN ISO 12354-1:2016. However, further knowledge and data of the sound transmission across junctions of CLT is inevitable for a reliable prediction.
In this paper a collection of frequency dependent vibration reduction indices for CLT structures will be presented and compared, involving L-, T- and cross-junctions measured by six international laboratories.
Ein Ziel des DFG-AiF-Clusterforschungsvorhabens Vibroakustik im Planungsprozess für Holzbauten ist die Reduktion des schalltechnischen Planungsaufwandes bei der Holzmassivbauweise. Hierzu soll das Prognoseverfahren der DIN EN 12354 angepasst werden. Darin ist ein vereinfachter SEA-Ansatz zugrunde gelegt, welcher diffuse Körperschallfelder in den Bauteilen sowie deren schwache Kopplung voraussetzt. Tatsächlich trifft die Annahme diffuser Körperschallfelder nur bei Bauteilen mit geringer Ausbreitungsdämpfung zu. Um ein Maß für die Kopplung der Bauteile zu erhalten, wird ein Energieverhältnis aus den Bauteilschnellen gebildet. In der DIN EN ISO 10848-1 wird eine Vorschrift für die Messung der mittleren Bauteilschnelle beschrieben. Daraus wird ein örtlich und zeitlich gemittelter Schnellepegel je Bauteil berechnet, mit dem die Energie des Bauteils bestimmt wird. In diesem Beitrag werden Messergebnisse von Körperschallfeldern an Brettsperrholzelementen im Hinblick auf die Energiebestimmung diskutiert. Bei der statistischen Auswertung werden die Anzahl der Anregepositionen und der Messpositionen auf dem direkt und indirekt angeregten Bauteil analysiert. In einem weiteren Schritt werden die erforderlichen Messpositionen durch eine geeignete Auswahl reduziert und mit den pauschalen, geometrischen Vorgaben der Messvorschrift aus der DIN EN ISO 10848-1 verglichen. Die Erkenntnisse werden zur Bewertung von Messergebnissen und für Empfehlungen an die Durchführung zukünftiger Messungen herangezogen.
The method is based on a simplified Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA) approach. The energy ratios of various subsystems are the main quantities to predict sound transmission. The method has proven to work sufficiently accurate for masonry and concrete buildings, where the building components like walls, floors etc. can be regarded as rather homogeneous structures. To adapt this method for solid timber constructions it is necessary to prove that basic SEA requirements are fullfilled by orthotropic materials and heterogeneous structures that occur in these building types. In a case study, an isolated T-junction formed by Cross Laminated Timber(CLT) elements is experimentally investigated. The buildings elements are subdivided in segments with typical screwed connections.
In the experiments the diffusivity of the vibration field is investigated, using point excitation with a shaker at several positions and many, randomly chosen response positions. MONTE-CARLO simulations are conducted for random but fix-sized subsets of the measured response positions to find the necessary number of response positions for an accurate determination of the vibrational energy.
As a result the distribution of the mean velocity levels can be approximated.
In a second approach a multiple linear regression model based on the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)is applied, because for lower frequency bands multicollinearity is expected.
In the context of linear regression modelling, data-driven methods are used to select optimal subsets of response positions, to get an estimating equation.
Auf Basis empirischer Daten wurde die Diffusität des Körperschallfeldes von Brettsperrholz-Bauteilen in realistischer Größe beschrieben und Verteilungsschätzungen in Abhängigkeit der verwendeten Antwortanzahl durchgeführt. Ein näherungsweise diffuses Körperschallfeld liegt im Beispiel nur in einigen Terzbändern im mittleren Frequenzbereich vor. Damit ist eine Energiebestimmung mit wenigen Antwortpositionen nur dort möglich.
Die Energiebestimmung über die Schnelle ist bei tiefen Frequenzen für einige Frequenzbänder ohne Moden nicht geeignet, da hier die Voraussetzung nicht gegeben ist, dass die kinetische gleich der potenziellen Energie ist. Hochfrequent hat der Krafteinleitungsort bezogen auf die Elementstöße Einfluss auf die Antwortstreuungen. Darüber hinaus ist bei tiefen wie auch bei sehr hohen Frequenzen eine hohe Antwortanzahl notwendig.

Der vorliegende Beitrag ist Auftakt einer Serie von OSCE-Prüfungen, die Studierende des Bachelorstudiengangs Pflegepädagogik an der KSH München im Rahmen eines Studienprojektes für echte Prüfungssituationen in der Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegeausbildung, der Altenpflegeausbildung oder des dualen Pflegestudiums entwickelt und durchgeführt haben. Zunächst wird das Konzept der OSCE-Prüfung und der Aufbau des Studienprojektes vorgestellt. In den nächsten Ausgaben folgen Auszüge aus den Prüfungen und kurze Erfahrungsberichte. To ensure that building regulations are satisfied, the sound pressure level due to machinery has to be predicted at the design stage of a new building.
With the increasing popularity of multistory timber dwellings, prediction becomes an important issue for designers and consultants. At present previous project experience is often used when considering the design of wall and floor constructions and the mounting positions for machinery.
Simple tools to calculate the sound pressure levels in rooms based on machinery data and construction details are not currently available.
The approach involves two stages: firstly the description of the source and secondly the prediction of vibration transmission across the building and sound radiation into the rooms.
In this paper a simple empirical model is proposed for the second stage. This approach is based on measured transmission functions that are defined as the average sound pressure level in a receiving room relative to the injected structure-borne sound power.
This is a logical extension of approaches to characterize structure-borne sound sources that also use a power based descriptor (e.g. prEN15657:2016-02: Acoustic properties of building elements and of buildings - Laboratory measurement of structure-borne sound from building service equipment for all installation conditions) and provides a simple method to estimate the sound pressure level in a room.
Increased productivity in industrial processes can be achieved by dynamic and accurate positioning of servo drives. Therefore, improvement of servo drive dynamics using latest technologies in the key components such as inverter, control system and position measuring device are investigated. Using Gallium Nitride (GaN) or Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductors for motor inverters enables energy efficient operation up to pulse width modulation (PWM) frequencies of 500 kHz. This allows motor filters with small component sizes. As a result, high motor efficiency, low torque ripple, high control bandwidth and almost ideal sinusoidal output voltages are achieved. Experiments on a 200 kHz Gallium Nitride inverter with sine wave motor filter show a current control loop bandwidth of 3.2 kHz and almost ideal sinusoidal phase voltages. The achieved bandwidths of the speed and position control loops are 318 Hz and 106 Hz, respectively.
A hybrid current and acceleration control is presented and shown to improve the load disturbance behavior of servo drives significantly without additional sensor effort. The feedback signal of the acceleration control loop is calculated from the position data of the motor encoder. Hence, position measuring errors influence this control loop and lead to speed ripple. Therefore, the presented design of the acceleration control loop considers both load sensitivity and position measuring errors.
Empirische Untersuchung zur Anwendung der Equity-Methode bei Joint Ventures nach IFRS in Deutschland

Wooden building systems, including cross-laminated timber elements, are becoming more common. The last few years have seen new developments and documentation of innovative types of cross-laminated timber floor assemblies. Regarding impact sound associated to walking persons, running or jumping children, such floor assemblies can be regarded as a weak part. So far, there are no reliable standardized calculation models available, for prediction of impact sound in the entire frequency range. Therefore the design is always based upon previous experiences and available measurements. This article presents the results of a number of well controlled sound insulation measurements of cross-laminated timber/massive wood floor constructions conducted in laboratories. The collection of data and results analysis highlight some basic phenomena. For instance, how structural differences related to the grouping of the constructions change the frequency distribution of the impact sound level and the single number quantities. Another significant result is the influence of the dynamic stiffness of the resilient interlayer of floating floor systems and the mass per unit area of the floors. Based on this analysis, the aim is to identify similarities and carry out simplifications. The data will be further processed and used in the development of prediction models and optimization process of cross-laminated timber floor assemblies.
Shifting energy peak load is a subject that plays a huge role in the currently changing energy market, where renewable energy sources no longer produce the exact amount of energy demanded.
Matching demand to supply requires behavior Changes on the customerside, which can be achieved by incentives suchas Real-Time-Pricing (RTP).
Various studies show that such incentives cannot be utilized without a complexity reduction, e.g., by smart home automation systems that inform the customer about possible savings or automatically schedule appliances to off-peak load phases.
We propose a probabilistic appliance usage prediction based on historical energy data that can be used to identify the times of day where an appliance will be used and therefore make load shift recommendations that suite the customer’s usage profile. A huge issue is how to provide a valid performance evaluation for this particular problem.
We will argue why the commonly used accuracy metric is not suitable, and suggest to use other metrics like the area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC) or F1-Score instead.
A DDR2 SDRAM test setup implemented on the Griffin III ATE test system from HILEVEL Technologies is used to analyse the row hammer bug. Row hammer pattern experiments are compared to standard retention tests.
The analysis confirms that the row hammer effect is caused by a charge excitation process depending on the number of stress activation cycles. The stress has to occur in the local neighborhood of the cells under test.

Clinical assessment schedule (CLAS) is a core part of the ICF-based implementation of functioning reporting across health conditions and along the continuum of care.
The Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Section and Board of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS PRM) workshop held in January 2016 aimed to develop and specify a CLAS within the context of rehabilitation services.
UEMS PRM Workshop in Nottwil, Switzerland, January 2016.PRM physicians representatives from 12 European countries, as well as Israel and Japan, mostly delegates of UEMS PRM Section and Board, and experts with other rehabilitation professional backgrounds.Participants were divided into 6 working groups and asked to specify what functioning aspects would be essential to document using the available ICF sets for the identified rehabilitation services contained in the newly developed service classification (ICSO-R): acute, post-acute and long-term rehabilitation services.
The 7 ICF Generic and 23 Rehabilitation Set categories were confirmed as well as specific health condition categories for acute rehabilitation services (mobile team), for postacute rehabilitation services (general outpatient rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, as well as specialized SCI rehabilitation), and for long-term rehabilitation services (day clinic and rehabilitation provided in the community). While general principles of the CLAS were defined, the need to align the CLAS for a specific service, as well as across services along the continuum of care was highlighted.
All groups deliberated on this topic; however, no conclusive statement was presented yet.The groups recognized a need for a systematic effort to identify data collection tools currently used.CLASs will serve in the future to ensure that functioning information is systematically and consistently collected across services, and thus respond also to various global reports and initiatives which stress the need for improving data collection on people's functioning.
A high-order finite element model for vibration analysis of cross-laminated timber assemblies

The vibration behavior of cross-laminated timber components in the low-frequency range can be predicted with high accuracy by the finite element method. However, the modeling of assembled cross-laminated timber components has been studied only scarcely. The three-dimensional p-version of the finite element method, which is characterized by hierarchic high-order shape functions, is well suited to consider coupling and support conditions. Furthermore, a small number of degrees of freedom can be obtained in case of thin-walled structures using p-elements with high aspect ratios and anisotropic ansatz spaces. In this article, a model for cross-laminated timber assemblies made of volumetric high-order finite elements is presented. Two representative types of connections are investigated, one with an elastomer between the cross-laminated timber components and the other without. The model is validated, and suitable ranges for the stiffness parameters of the finite elements which represent the junctions are identified.

Im Gegenteil: Kinderarmut, Zeitknappheit von Familien, Migration und soziale Ungleichheiten kommen hier zuallererst an und stellen die Einrichtungen vor neue Herausforderungen. Hinzu kommen gesellschaftliche Bewegungen, wie der neu erstarkte Rechtspopulismus, gruppenbezogene Menschenfeindlichkeit und Abwertung bis zu Rechtsextremismus. Ein Phänomen, das in ostdeutschen Bundesländern präsenter ist. Die vorliegende Untersuchung hat deshalb 94
Leitungen von Kindertageseinrichtungen in Sachsen und Thüringen nach ihren Umgangsweisen mit gesellschaftlicher Vielfalt gefragt. Hierzu wurde spezifisch der Umgang mit benachteiligten Gruppen und mit Diversität untersucht. 10 qualitative ExpertInneninterviews mit Einrichtungsleitungen wurden ergänzend dazu durchgeführt, um spezifischen und sensiblen Fragestellungen auf den Grund zu gehen.
Die wichtigsten Mittel gegen menschenfeindliche Tendenzen sind Demokratieförderung, Demokratiebildung und Partizipation. Die Untersuchung hat deshalb einen Schwerpunkt auf die Untersuchung der Umsetzung und Hindernisse sowie der Bedarfe mit Blick auf Partizipation gelegt.

Zur Methodik einer zielgerichteten Evaluation der Vernetzung im Sozialraum: Zum Ausbau der sozialräumlichen Vernetzung müssen Kitas zunächst neben dem aktuellen Stand auch ermitteln, an welchen Stellen Verbesserungsbedarf besteht. Maßgebend für eine gewinnbringende Evaluation ist neben der Auswahl geeigneter Evaluationsmethoden die genaue Klärung der Evaluationsziele. Im Kita-Bereich erfährt Evaluation zunehmend an Bedeutung – aus politischen und professionsbezogenen Gründen. Theoretische Vorüberlegungen und Grundlagen sind weitgehend bekannt, sodass im folgenden Beitrag die Anwendung von Evaluation im sozialräumlichen Arbeiten von Kitas fokussiert wird.
As part of international efforts to develop and implement national models including the specification of ICF-based clinical data collection tools, the Italian rehabilitation community initiated a project to develop simple, intuitive descriptions of the ICF Rehabilitation Set, highlighting the core concept of each category in user-friendly language.

Multidisciplinary group of rehabilitation professionals.The first of a two-stage consensus process involved developing an initial proposal for simple, intuitive descriptions of each ICF Rehabilitation Set category based on descriptions generated in a similar process in China.
Stage two involved a consensus conference. Divided into three working groups, participants discussed and voted (vote A) whether the initially proposed descriptions of each ICF Rehabilitation Set category was simple and intuitive enough for use in daily practice.
Afterwards the categories with descriptions considered ambiguous i.e. not simple and intuitive enough, were divided among the working groups, who were asked to propose a new description for the allocated categories. These proposals were then voted (vote B) on in a plenary session.
The last step of the consensus conference required each working group to develop a new proposal for each and the same categories with descriptions still considered ambiguous.
Participants then voted (final vote) for which of the three proposed descriptions they preferred.Nineteen clinicians from diverse rehabilitation disciplines from various regions of Italy participated in the consensus process. Three ICF categories already achieved consensus in vote A, while 20 ICF categories were accepted in vote B.
The remaining 7 categories were decided in the final vote.The findings were discussed in light of current efforts toward developing strategies for ICF implementation, specifically for the application of an ICF-based clinical data collection tool, not only for Italy but also for the rest of Europe.
Promising as minimal standards for monitoring the impact of interventions and for standardized reporting of functioning as a relevant outcome in rehabilitation.
Soziale Arbeit leistet einen Beitrag zu mehr sozialer Gerechtigkeit und zum Abbau sozialer Ungleichheit in der Gesellschaft, gleichzeitig gewinnt Gesundheit als Dimension sozialer Ungleichheit zunehmend an Bedeutung. Als Beispiele hierfür können chronische Erkrankungen, Behinderung und Pflegebedürftigkeit genannt werden, die häufig eine gleichberechtigte Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft erschweren, wodurch gesundheitliche Ungleichheit zu sozialer Ungleichheit führt beziehungsweise diese verstärkt. Fragestellungen zu Themen der Gesundheit haben demnach in vielfältiger Hinsicht auch Bezug auf Soziale Arbeit.
The International Spinal Cord Injury (InSCI) community survey has been developed to collect internationally comparable data on the lived experience of persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) in all 6 WHO regions.
The InSCI survey provides a crucial first step to generate evidence on functioning, health maintenance, and subjective well-being in persons with SCI globally.
A major challenge in setting up the InSCI community survey was to develop a data model and questionnaire that comprehensively captures what matters to people and, at the same time, is feasible and parsimonious in terms of participant’s burden.
This paper outlines the components of the InSCI data model and presents the question selection to operationalize the data model along the 4 guiding principles of efficiency, feasibility, comparability, and truth and discrimination.
The data model consists of 6 components operationalized with 125 questions including functioning (n = 28 body functions and structures; n = 42 activities and participation), contextual factors (n = 26 environmental; n = 19 personal factors), lesion characteristics (n = 2), and appraisal of health and well-being (n = 8).
The InSCI questionnaire presents an efficient and feasible solution with satisfying comparability to other populations; however, its validity and reliability still needs to be confirmed.
Background
acquired joint contractures have significant effects on quality of life and functioning.
Objective
to determine the effects of interventions to prevent and treat disabilities in older people with acquired joint contractures.
Methods
systematic search (last 8/2016) via Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE, PEDro, CINAHL, trial registries, reference lists of retrieved articles and scientific congress pamphlets. Controlled and randomised controlled trials in English or German comparing an intervention with another intervention or standard care were included. Two independent researchers performed the selection of publications, data extraction and critical appraisal.
Results
seventeen studies with 992 participants met the inclusion criteria: 16 randomised controlled trials and 1 controlled trial (nursing homes = 4, community settings = 13). The methodological quality of the studies varied. Splints were examined in four studies, stretching exercises in nine studies, and ultrasound, passive movement therapy, bed-positioning and group exercise were each examined in one study. Studies on splints revealed inconclusive results regarding joint mobility or spasticity. Five of seven studies that assessed active stretching programmes for healthy older people reported statistically significant effects on joint mobility in favour of the intervention. Pain, quality of life, activity limitations and participation restrictions were rarely assessed.
Conclusion
the evidence for the effectiveness of interventions to prevent and treat disability due to joint contractures is weak, particularly for established nursing interventions such as positioning and passive movement. Better understanding is required regarding the delivery of interventions, such as their intensity and duration. In addition to functional issues, activities and social participation should also be studied as outcomes.
In this methodological note on applying the ICF in rehabilitation, we introduce suitable tools that allow us to document comprehensively and systematically the lived experience of health to guide clinical practice, the management of services, evidence-informed policy and scientific inquiry.
The objective of this methodological note is to present the currently available tools with respect to four questions: 1) what ICF domains to document; 2) what perspective to take; 3) what data collection tools to apply; and 4) which approach to use for reporting. The application of these tools is illustrated using the Swiss Spinal Cord Injury (SwiSCI) Cohort Study.
Existing ICF Sets provide a practical approach for identifying the domains to document. One can document from the perspective of biological health, lived health, and appraised health. For identifying suitable data collection tools, either existing tools can be linked to the ICF or available ICF-based data collection tools can be used.
For reporting, an interval scale metric is suggested. The four step approach presented provides users with a logical sequence to follow when planning the documentation of functioning using the ICF as a health information reference system in practice and research.
Background: The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) is the World Health Organization’s standard for describing health and health-related states. Examples of how the ICF has been used in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) have not been systematically summarized and described yet.
Objectives: To provide a systematic review of peer-reviewed literature about the ICF’s use in EHRs, including related challenges and benefits.
Methods: Peer-reviewed literature, published between January 2001 and July 2015 was retrieved from Medline®, CINAHL®, Scopus®, and ProQuest® Social Sciences using search terms related to ICF and EHR concepts. Publications were categorized according to three groups: Requirement specification, development and implementation. Information extraction was conducted according to a qualitative content analysis method, deductively informed by the evaluation framework for Health Information Systems: Human, Organization and Technology-fit (HOT-fit).
Results: Of 325 retrieved articles, 17 publications were included; 4 were categorized as requirement specification, 7 as development, and 6 as implementation publications. Information regarding the HOT-fit evaluation framework was summarized. Main benefits of using the ICF in EHRs were its unique comprehensive perspective on health and its interdisciplinary focus.
Main challenges included the fact that the ICF is not structured as a formal terminology as well as the need for a reduced number of ICF codes for more feasible and practical use.
Conclusion: Different approaches and technical solutions exist for integrating the ICF in EHRs, such as combining the ICF with other existing standards for EHR or selecting ICF codes with natural language processing.
Though the use of the ICF in EHRs is beneficial as this review revealed, the ICF could profit from further improvements such as formalizing the knowledge representation in the ICF to support and enhance interoperability.
Das Unternehmen Pfleiderer hat seinen Schwerpunkt in der Herstellung von Holzwerkstoffen und Möbeloberflächen. Das seit über 100 Jahren bestehende Unternehmen gehört zu den größten seiner Sparte in Europa. Diese Führungsposition wird durch eine kontinuierliche Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeit in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen stetig ausgebaut.
In einem Projekt mit der Hochschule Rosenheim unter Beteiligung der Fakultät für Innenarchitektur mit dem Masterstudiengang Innenarchitektur, Spezialisierung Möbeldesign, sollte untersucht werden, wie flächiges, möbelgebundenes Licht im Ladenbau und Shopdesign zum Einsatz kommen kann und welche Vorteile eine solche Beleuchtung gegenüber einer üblichen architekturgebundenen Beleuchtung besitzt.
Über Recherchen zu unterschiedlichen Ausgangssituationen am Point of Sale, über Beleuchtungsversuche im Maßstab 1:1 mit flächigem Licht, über Vormodelle und zuletzt über Raumprototypen im Maßstab 1:1 wurden die jeweiligen Thesen dargestellt, überprüft und bestätigt. Es zeigte sich, dass flächiges, möbelgebundenes Licht einerseits wesentlich mehr und bessere Möglichkeiten in der Beleuchtung der Ware bringt. Die präsentierten Exponate sehen schlichtweg besser aus. Auf der anderen Seite können diese leuchtenden Flächen in intelligente Steuerungen eingebaut werden, die Produktgruppen und Einzelprodukte kundenspezifisch herausstellen können. Das leuchtende und intelligente Möbel wird so zu einem wichtigen Mitspieler im Internet of Things.
Die Modelle und Raumprototypen wurden in den Werkstätten der Fakultät für Innenarchitektur von den am Projekt beteiligten Studierenden selbst gebaut.
Seit über zehn Jahren erforschen Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftlerinnen der Fachrichtung Kunststofftechnik an der Hochschule Rosenheim Verbindungstechnologien und -mechanismen zwischen endlosverstärkten Thermoplasten und angespritzten Funktionsstrukturen.
Besonders die Automobilindustrie hat an den neuen Möglichkeiten im Leichtbau großes Interesse. Im Projekt "OrganoRipp" untersuchte die Hochschule in Kooperation mit zwei Unternehmenspartnern neue Verbundmöglichkeiten.

Dieser Artikel gibt ein Einblick in Hinblick auf die Verarbeitung von endlosverstärkten Faserhalbzeuge, sogenannten Organobleche, in Kombination mit dem Spritzgießverfahren. Ein Schwerpunkt stellt die Verbundhaftung zwischen den beiden Komponenten dar. Neue Ergebnisse sollen die Gestaltungsrichtlinien der angespritzten Funktionselementen für derartige Bauteile führen. Die Verbundfestigkeit hängt von vielen Einflussfaktoren ab.
