The use of multimedia can significantly improve the quality of case studies, especially with regard to their presentation of reality. The development of multimedia case studies poses a challenge of both a creative and a technical nature. This paper describes the various stages of the development of the case study itself as well as an action model which supports the application of didactical aims in a multimedia case study.

This contribution describes experiences with a multimedia case study used at the Department of Information Systems for training students in data processing for business purposes. The report includes a description of how the case study was integrated as a didactic element in a university course, with special emphasis being given to theoretical aspects of presentation and learning. Additionally, a description of the case study and its development rounds off the article. The experiences were gained within the framework of an explorational, empirical study whose results are presented at the end of this paper and form the basis of suggestions for how the case study could be developed further.
We report temperature measurements of inverted staggered amorphous silicon thin film transistor subthreshold conductance for devices with and without a top silicon nitride passivating layer. Subthreshold conductance activation energies clearly show the different conductance paths in the active layer of these devices. Transistors with no top nitride layer conduct in the bulk amorphous silicon, whereas the devices with a top nitride layer conduct at the interface between the amorphous silicon and the top nitride (a ‘‘back’’ channel). Gate bias stressing and light soaking experiments uphold the existence of the back channel. We also present two‐dimensional simulations that support our interpretation of the experimental data.

This paper then describes experiences with a multimedia case study used at the Department of Information Systems for training students in data processing for business purposes. The report includes a description of how the case study was integrated as a didactic element in a university course, with special emphasis being given to theoretical aspects of presentation and learning. Additionally, a description of the case study and its development rounds off the article.
We describe physically based analytical models for n‐channel amorphous silicon thin film transistors and for n‐ and p‐channel polysilicon thin film transistors. The models cover all regimes of transistor operation: leakage, subthreshold, above‐threshold conduction, and the kink regime in polysilicon thin film transistors. The models contain a minimum number of parameters which are easily extracted and can be readily related to the structural and material properties of the thin film transistors. The models have been verified for a large number of devices to scale properly with device geometry.
Characterization and Modeling of Frequency Dispersion in Amorphous Silicon Thin Film Transistors

We are concerned with the asymptotic theory of semiparametric estimation equations. We are dealing with estimation equations which have a parametric component of interest and a functional (nonparametric) nuisance component.
We give sufficient conditions for the existence and the asymptotic normality of a consistent estimation equation estimator for the parameter of interest.
These conditions concern the asymptotic distribution of the estimation function and of its derivative as well as the effect of the functional nuisance part in the estimation equation. In order to treat the nonparametric component we introduce a general differential calculus and a general mean value theorem. For the nonparametric part in the estimation equation we distinguish two cases: the situation of a (classical) nuisance parameter and the case of a so called working parameter.
As a special case we get regularity conditions for estimation equations with finite dimensional nuisance or working parameter. As an example we present the semiparametric linear regression model.
We consider asymptotic theory for the maximum likelihood estimator in the generalized linear model with an unknown breakpoint. A proof for the asymptotic normality is given.
The methods are based on the work of Huber (1967). The main problem is the non--differentiability of the likelihood and the score function, which requires non--standard methods.
An example from epidemiology is presented, where confidence intervals for the parameters are calculated with the asymptotic results.
This paper is an interdisciplinary synopsis about multimedia learning systems and mass information systems, and presents an action model for construction of these systems and the embedding of this model in an existing concept of system planning.
First step in the paper is the containment and definition of the term ‘multimedia’ on the basis of general criterions of the human-machine-human communication. Result is a taxonomy to classify scientific research areas in this field.
The second part follows an examination of different concepts of learning theories by means of a five dimensional raster. Output of this examination are two models fitting for computer based learning in general.
The third part discusses information presentation and interaction possibilities at the human - machine - interface. Therefore a consistent raster is acquired, where psychological perception parameters and technical parameters of information presentations and interaction possibilities are examined. This results in the so-called storyboarding, which is the description of a process adapted from theater, film and TV for developing a multimedia script.
The combination of learntheoretical concepts with the process of storyboarding of multimedia applications and the embedding in a system planning action model is described in the fourth part. The result of this last part shows a phase concept for system planning of multimedia learning systems and mass information systems.
Both the subthreshold slope and the threshold voltage in inverted-staggered amorphous silicon thin-film transistors (a-Si:H TFTs) are vulnerable to metastable changes in the density of states (DOS) due to Fermi level displacement. In previous work, we have used passivated and unpassivated TFTs to distinguish between the effects of bulk states and interface states at the top passivating nitride interface. Here we report the results of experimental measurements and two-dimensional (2-D) simulations on unpassivated TFTs. Since there are no top interface states, all the observed changes are due solely to the bulk DOS. The subthreshold current activation energies in a-Si:H TFTs are compared for n-channel nonpassivated TFTs before and after bias stress. The experimental results agree well with the 2-D simulations, confirming that the dependence of subthreshold current activation energy on gate bias reveals the distribution of the DOS in energy but cannot resolve the magnitude of features in the DOS. This type of analysis is not accurate for TFTs with a top passivating nitride, since the activation energies in such devices are affected by the interfere states.

Bevor Sie
bewährte Konstruktionen ändern, sollten Sie die wichtigsten schalltech-
nischen Gesetze beachten (Kapitel 4).
56 dB => 53 d13 => 46 d13?
I
m Kap. 8 wird gezeigt, daß mit Decken-
Mehrkosten von nur ca. 25 % bereits
Verbesserungen von ca. 10 dB möglich sind.
Hinweise auf neue Entwicklungen und
Alternativen werden in den nachfolgend
genannten Kapiteln gegeben
zu den Unterdecken - siehe Kap. 6.3 zur
Rohdeckenbeschwerung - siehe Kap. 6.4
zur Flankenübertragung - siehe Kap. 6.7.
Die besonderen schalltechnischen Probleme
und Lösungsansätze die bei der Sanierung
von alten Holzbalkendecken auftreten
werden in Kap. 10 behandelt
