The Publications Server – Why, who, what, how?

"OPUS | HS Rosenheim" is the free Online-Publications-Service of Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. With this service, all those affiliated with the university (excluding students) can publish their scientific publications on the internet on an open access basis, irrespective of whether they are electronic publications or previously printed publications. In addition, the publications server functions as a university bibliography, i.e. to make as many publications of the university and those affiliated with it available as possible.

As a matter of principle, it is possible to publish the documents as a full text or to just list the bibliographic data of the publications for documentation purposes. All title registrations and publications of scientific works, where at least one person involved is affiliated with Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and/or which originated in connection with activities at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences are accepted. These include, for example, dissertations and scientific publications such as books, essays/articles, preprints, series of publications, conference contributions or research reports.

The publishing of scientific publications is subject to open access conditions. Open Access means the free, public and unrestricted access to scientific works, which were created using public funds/subsidies. The bibliographic data and full texts are thereby published on the internet, and are freely researchable and accessible in many ways.

The documents are uploaded onto the publications server by the university affiliates themselves.

The publication of students' final theses which originate from R&D projects at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences may take place in exceptional cases, on the recommendation of the respective student's supervisor and/or project leader. This recommendation must be confirmed by an informal written application. In general, final theses are published through the publications service of the library at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.

The contents of the server are facilitated by the university, and the technical operations are the responsibility of the Kooperativen Bibliotheksverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV library association).
