    <title language="eng">Damping of Sloshing in a Moving Container</title>
Liquid sloshing limits speed, accuracy, and reliability of pick-and-place systems, laboratory automation, and mobile robots that transport open containers. Motivated by industrial anti-sloshing motion functions [1], this work presents a compact testbed and a simple open-loop strategy that reproduces the effect on a low-cost setup. A camera rigidly mounted to the carriage moves with the tank and records the free surface, enabling extraction of the visible surface angle per frame. The first two sloshing frequencies and the dominant-mode damping are identified from experiments. The dominant mode is then modeled as a lightly damped second-order system excited by the carriage motion. Two command-side strategies are compared: Zero-Vibration-Derivative (ZVD) input shaping and an inverse transfer function prefilter. The ZVD method delivers near-zero residual slosh after the end of the move with a predictable, fixed time extension equal to the damped period. The inverse function prefilter also suppresses the sloshing with the advantage of being a simpler approach. Both approaches are open-loop and need only the identified frequency and damping for a given fill level of the container. A single-mode simulation based on the identified model predicts the measured behaviour successfully, and both suppression strategies are verified in simulation and experiments.

    <title language="eng">Resonances and Oscillations in DC Grids</title>
A trend has been emerging in the field of industrial automation: direct current (DC) is making a comeback. This is due to the desire for greater energy efficiency and flexible, intelligent energy distribution. However, DC can still exhibit alternating current (AC) components from pulsating loads on an industrial grid, which may excite resonances. This work derives an equivalent circuit model for the grid and verifies it using a motor test bench. Design considerations for the DC link capacitance are presented to enable the integration into a decentralized drive.

    <title language="deu">Hybrid &amp; kollaborativ: zukunftsorientiertes Lernen in einem lernförderlichen Lehr-Experimentierraum</title>
    <abstract language="deu">Im Projekt HigHRoQ an der Technischen Hochschule Rosenheim wurde mit dem „Labor für hybride Gruppenarbeit“ ein innovativer Lehr-Experimentierraum geschaffen, der physische und virtuelle Lernumgebungen zu einer „Neuen Präsenz“ verbindet. Teams aus vor Ort anwesenden und online teilnehmenden Studierenden arbeiten synchron und interaktiv zusammen. &#13;
Digitale Whiteboards, Kameras und hochwertige Audiotechnik ermöglichen weitestgehend gleichwertige Interaktionen. &#13;
Spezielle Aufgabenstellungen fördern dabei ein konstruktives Lernen sowie Schlüsselkompetenzen wie Teamarbeit und technologische Fähigkeiten. Die Lernumgebung wurde durch Befragungen und Unterrichtsbeobachtungen evaluiert und mithilfe des ICAP-Frameworks analysiert. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass passives Lernen minimiert und interaktive Prozesse durch audiovisuelle Kommunikationskanäle gefördert werden. &#13;
Der Beitrag illustriert, wie hybride Lernräume eine inklusive und zukunftsorientierte Hochschulbildung unterstützen können.

We propose a group theory based mathematical model for unambiguous inductance states of a reconfigurable air coil inductor utilizing elastic snapping of wire segments. Vertical (axial) and horizontal winding symmetries under group actions reveal distinguishable tuning regions and individual variation states therein. The model is applied to coils of prismatic (cylinder like) and truncated pyramidal (conical like) shape with edges forming a regular polygon as basis, and verified by numerical magnet field simulation.

    <title language="eng">Identification of Microplastic Contamination in Food using FD-FLIM</title>
Microplastics have emerged as a significant environmental concern, particularly due to their potential impact on food safety and human health. This study uses frequency-domain fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy to investigate the presence and effects of microplastics in four food types—ham, honey, fish, and lettuce. Samples were prepared with known quantities of high-density polyethylene particles, and their phase-dependent fluorescence lifetimes were analyzed to distinguish between contaminated and uncontaminated food. The results indicate that fluorescence lifetime analysis can effectively identify microplastic contamination, revealing distinct fluorescence characteristics for each food matrix. This research underscores the importance of innovative detection methods in ensuring food safety, highlighting the need for further studies on automated microplastic detection.

    <enrichment key="opus.import.data">@incollectionWiedl.2025, abstract =Verarbeitungstemperaturen, Verweilzeit und Scherkräfte sind entscheidend, um die strukturelle Integrität von cellulosebasierten Fasern zu gewährleisten.In dieser Studie wurden die Einflüsse durch die Schmelzeaufbereitung eines cellulosefaserverstärkten Polypropylens auf die Faser und den Faserverbund untersucht. Die Schmelze wurde in einem Plastographen mit verschiedenen Rotordrehzahlen, Schmelzetemperaturen und Verweilzeiten aufbereitet. Um die Auswirkung der Einspeisungsmethode auf den Faserabbau zu analysieren, wurden die Fasern entweder direkt der thermoplastischen Schmelze oder zusammen mit dem Kunststoffgranulat dem Plastographen zugeführt. Die Zugabe der Fasern in die Schmelze geht mit einer erhöhten thermischen und verminderten mechanischen Belastung der Fasern einher.Bei der Prüfung der mechanischen Eigenschaften der verschieden aufbereiteten Compounds zeigten sich signifikante Unterschiede. Wurden die Fasern direkt der Schmelze hinzugefügt, so führte dies zu einer deutlich reduzierten Zugfestigkeit. Optische Unterschiede in den Schliffbildern der spritzgegossenen Prüfstäbe sowie in den Faserlängen nach Compoundierung konnten nicht festgestellt werden. Die verminderte Festigkeit wird folglich auf die unterschiedliche thermische Belastung der Faser während der Verarbeitung zurückgeführt., author = Wiedl, Sebastian and Sehy, Michaela and Schmid, Thomas and Bonauer, Markus and Müller, Norbert and List, Manuela, title = Neue Wege für WPC: Altholz und klimaresiliente Laubholzarten als alternative Verstärkungsstoffe, keywords = Faserverbund;Leichtbau;Naturfasern, pages = 46, publisher = Technische Universität Chemnitz, editor = Seefried, Andreas and Stommel, Markus, booktitle = Technomer 2025, year = 2025, address = Chemnitz, file = 2025-10-23_Langfassung_Technomer2025:Attachments/2025-10-23_Langfassung_Technomer2025.pdf:application/pdf;4_3_Faserverbundkunststoffe:Attachments/4_3_Faserverbundkunststoffe.pptx:application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation</enrichment>

    <title language="eng">FH-IPTOOLS: Predicting wastewater noise in timber constructions - a project introduction</title>
    <abstract language="deu">The research project FH-IPTOOLS is a joint project between Rosenheim Technincal University of Applied Sciences (THRo) and the University of Applied Sciences Döpfer (HSD) in collaboration with industrial partners and timber construction associations. The aim is to develop prediction tools for sound insulation, focusing on acoustic comfort and the perception of noise from technical service equipment. The project focuses on wastewater systems in timber and lightweight constructions.&#13;
Concepts need to be developed to ensure that acoustic comfort is taken into account in the design process. HSD is working on the psychoacoustic aspects. Signal detection theory will be used to formulate suitable evaluation methods to assess noise from building service equipment. Listening tests and field measurements will be used to develop criteria for sound insulation in timber construction to improve acoustic comfort.&#13;
As part of the project, structure-borne sound characterisation will be carried out at THRo on a reception plate test rig. Therefore a reception plate with similar properties to timber frame constructions will be used. The aim is to develop methods for the direct measurement of structure-borne sound power in timber and lightweight constructions, while also determining airborne sound power. Initial results will be presented in the paper.

    <title language="eng">Experience with the high mobility reception plate for source characterization according to EN 15657</title>
EN 12354-5 describes methods for the prediction of noise from technical equipment based on the airborne sound radiation and the structure-borne sound excitation. This paper considers methods to characterize the source in terms of structure-borne-sound (sbs) emission. Laboratory methods for sbs source characterization are given in EN 15657. In current research and development projects at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences these methods are applied to fully characterize technical equipment such as heat pumps or ventilation systems. This includes the determination of the equivalent blocked force, the source single equivalent free velocity and the source single equivalent mobility. EN 15657 describes various methods to determine the required properties. Recent project experience showed that this is essentially necessary because the most suitable method has to be applied depending on the nature of the technical equipment. This paper presents experiences with indirect measurement methods on the high-mobility plate and the direct measurement method given in EN 15657.

The analysis of fluorescence lifetimes has the potential to reliably differentiate plastics from foodstuffs. A setup for use in an industrial process is required to work in real time. The combination of Rapid fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (Rapid-FLIM) and neural networks shows significant improvements in capture time compared to other FLIM technologies, while achieving a reliable differentiation of foodstuffs and plastics.

    <title language="eng">Interpersonal Processes in Human-AI Teams: Toward an Updated Framework for Team Processes</title>
This paper explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into workplace teams and its influence on interpersonal dynamics. Drawing on Marks et al.'s (2001) team processes framework, we examine how AI influences interpersonal processes like conflict management, motivation, and affect management. Findings suggest that while AI can enhance objectivity, motivation, and efficiency, it may also introduce new tensions and anxieties about job security. We critically analyze both the opportunities and risks associated with AI integration, including the role of trust and individual perceptions. To address gaps in existing research, we outline a qualitative research agenda exploring the nature and distribution of interpersonal processes in human-AI teams. Preliminary interviews reveal that AI has strong motivational potential, though emotional responses vary, with some team members expressing fears and differing adaptation speeds.

    <title language="eng">Beyond the Data Warehouse: Modern and fast Data Analytics in Actian Vector.</title>
Modern data analytics cover a wide range of tools and frameworks besides traditional SQL-based analytics, leading to the need to transform traditional data warehouse solutions into data platforms. In this paper we focus on ecosystem integration, query performance and ease-of-use as key differentiators. We spotlight capabilities we introduced into our analytical database system Actian Vector with respect to these differentiators and highlight challenges we faced when applying research ideas to a production-ready system. The described capabilities cover ecosystem integrations with Apache Spark and a containerized services framework, cost model optimizations for robust query planning and several features to improve usability and manageability of the system.
