However, Platinum is an extremely expensive material. Therefore, increasing loading could contribute to the price significantly. The aim of this work is to measure the proton exchange membrane fuel cell performance under three different catalyst loading on cathode and determine the optimum loading for performance in these three tested loading levels. The tested cathodic loadings are 0.3 mg/cm2, 0.6 mg/cm2 and 0.9 mg/cm2. By applying two methods: current-voltage measurement and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, the open circuit voltages, polarization, power output and impedance were recorded. From the experiment, it is found that the internal resistance decreased with increasing Platinum loadings on the cathode. The simulation results indicate this change is mostly contributed by decreasing cathodic resistance. With increasing cathodic Platinum loading, the cathodic resistance decreases. It is also found during experiments, the polarization, open circuit voltage and power performance first increased and then stayed at same level. These indicators showed best performance at 0.6 mg/cm2 cathodic loading level. Combined with simulation results, the large impedance value of constant phase element in equivalent model for 0.9 mg/cm2 loading is considered as the reason why the power performance stop improving. It is unimaginable not being able to communicate around the world nowadays. It is not trivial to find suitable legal grounds for transferring data out of the European Union. The European Commission must declare a country as safe to be able to transfer data in this specific country. It is necessary to follow this principle not to violate any data protection laws. Since the 16th of July 2020 it is not allowed to transfer any data into the United States using the “Privacy Shield” as a legal safeguard due to the judgment of the European Court. There are still methods for legitimizing data transfers such as ”Binding Corporate Rules (BCR’s)” or “Standard contractual clauses”. Those well-known legal safeguards are only available for transferring data into the United States if “additional measures” were taken according to the European Court. To this day no official instance announced what those “additional measures” could be. This bachelor thesis will analysis the problems a possible “additional measure” must face. To achieve this goal the method of literature review will be used. Many older and newer professional article, books, laws and jurisprudence will be researched and analysed to an- ticipate the needs for a “additional measure”. Since the European Court complained in its jurisprudence about the lack of data security due to the enhanced possibilities of the US intelligence authorities inside the United States a possible outcome of this bachelor thesis could be the need to encrypt every data that is been send to the United States. Other possibilities could be to transfer the place where the data is processed into the European Union. Economy grew, but the outsource in developing countries has also shown its negative sites. For decades, the human rights violations in supply chains are alarming and workers are fighting for their fundamental rights. In order to improve the social impact by large companies, the EU introduced the Non-Financial Reporting Directive. Non-financial reporting occupied an important place during the years and became a required regulation in 2018. Nonetheless, the reporting still lacks transparency and rightful disclosure on human rights which is why an additional Supply Chain Act is on the way. This study investigates the non-financial reports of four European leading apparel companies with regard to their disclosure on human rights in supply chains. With the help of MAXQDA, qualitative research is performed within the timeframe 2016 to 2019. The aim is to find how the mandatory disclosure of the NFRD influenced the supply chain of the apparel industry. The results in 2018 show that the transparency in supply chains increased and was addressed most with distinctive implementations, achievements and goals and the wording in the reports changed also in a positive way. This thesis aimed to be an enrichment to this research field by elaborating the different perspectives, recent developments and challenges and the work which still needs to be done. But also to give an insight on four well-known companies and their influence to report on human rights in supply chains in their favor depending on the mandatory regulations. N2 - This paper investigates the impact of the Corona pandemic on M&A activities considering the variables M&A volume, M&A value, GDP, and Covid figures. The aim is to analyze the relationships between the development of the pandemic and M&A activities in five European countries (Germany, the UK, France, Italy, and Spain). With an introduction to the literature published so far on the topic, an excellent introduction to the situations around Corona and the M&A market is already offered. The one or other outlooks are already scientifically proven here and have thus also been very for the following analyses and results. In the first step of the research, we analyze M&A volumes and values in the countries under consideration before and during the pandemic. It can be seen that the number of M&A transactions increased overall during the pandemic, but transaction values were very fluctuating in comparison. This observation certainly reflects the general uncertainties and economic challenges of the pandemic. The next step is correlating Covid figures, M&A activity, and GDP. This shows that the pandemic outbreak led to a short-lived decline in M&A activity, as companies acted more cautiously and held back on transactions due to the uncertainty. However, M&A activity rose again as the economic situation in the countries stabilized, and companies were better able to respond to the pandemic. In addition, the impact of GDP on M&A activity is also examined. It can be seen that GDP was affected in all countries due to lockdowns and restrictions on public life. Nevertheless, there was some resilience in the economy as GDP showed an increase in all countries despite the pandemic. The analysis of the correlation between the variables shows that there is a significant relationship between Covid numbers and M&A activity. The higher the Covid numbers were in a country, the more M&A activity was affected. This suggests that the development of the pandemic had a significant impact on M&A activity. Overall, this work shows that the Corona pandemic significantly impacted M&A activity in Europe. The uncertainty and economic challenges led to a short-lived decline in activity, but the overall number of deals increased. The correlation analysis highlights the links between the pandemic and M&A activity and underscores the importance of thoroughly examining the variable factors influencing M&A decisions under Corona conditions. This transition necessitates an improved un-derstanding of how managerial actions influence the dynamics within these teams, to optimally align them for success. Despite the substantial research about leader effec-tiveness and team effectiveness based on organizational performance indicators, it is rather infrequent that the direct influence of leader behavior on teams is explored. This thesis aims to address this gap by answering how leader behaviors impact team pro-cesses in the context of German medium to large-scale IT-enterprises. Using a quanti-tative cross-sectional methodology, individuals working in team-based structures under direct supervision were surveyed. Analyzing data from 94 respondents via hierarchical linear regression analysis, several significant relationships were identified. In general, leader behavior has a strong positive impact on team processes. Furthermore, task-oriented leaders have the greatest positive influence on action processes, while relation-oriented leaders have the greatest positive influence on interpersonal processes. Change-oriented leaders also significantly influence action processes and interpersonal processes, albeit less strongly than their counterparts. These results provide implications for team management practices, emphasizing the importance of leader behavior for aligning team processes in the direction of success. As Artificial Intelligence is gaining in significance in our lives, it is also starting to make its way into marketing, though it is still in its early stages here. Compared to other countries, like China and the USA, Germany's adaptation of Artificial Intelligence solutions is limited. Current literature shows that the opinions of customers on Artificial Intelligence Marketing in Germany are still rather unexplored. Semi-structured interviews with six young adults from Germany were conducted to investigate their Customer Journey for footwear purchases. Additionally they were introduced to Artificial Intelligence Marketing and their acceptance was analyzed by using the Technology Acceptance Model. The analysis of the results shows that the factor of assistance through Artificial Intelligence Marketing is appreciated by most who do not know what they want before they start their Customer Journey. It is concluded that the actual usage and how this affects German Generation Z customers is dependent on their Customer Journey and how they prefer to shop. Because of climate change, Europe is expected to see an even higher number of floods in the coming decade. As floods cannot be prevented, understanding the pattern and causes and being able to forecast could significantly reduce the losses during the flood. In July 2021, Germany faced a catastrophic flood, taking more than 180 people’s lives and causing around 40 billion euros of economic loss. To study the flooded region and the region at high risk, the Flood event 2021 has been visualized in this research. The Flood map has been created using a sentinel-1 image. In the visualization, floods in the Rhine River and Arh River can be seen, and the change in the pattern of flood from 12th July to 16th July has also been observed. Different models exist that try to predict floods and warn as early as possible. Since Machine learning is popular nowadays in every sector, ML models have been implemented in this study to forecast the flood. The SARIMA, Random Forest, and LSTM have been implemented using historical data to predict the flood. The Random Forest model performed better than the remaining two models. The Isolation Forest model has also been implemented to classify the data into Flood and No Flood. This model performs well with the Flood classes but struggles in capturing the No Flood class.
