Klimaverträgliche Energieversorgung für Deutschland – 16 Orientierungspunkte T2 - Diskussionsbeiträge der Scinetists for Future ; 7 N2 - Als fairer Beitrag Deutschlands zur Einhaltung der globalen 1,5-Grad-Grenze werden 16 Orientierungspunkte für eine klimaverträgliche Energieversorgung vorgestellt. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass hierfür die deutschen energiebedingten CO2-Emissio­nen in etwa 15 Jahren weitgehend auf Null sinken müssen. Energieeinsparung hilft, den notwendigen Ausbau von regenerativen Erzeugungskapazitäten zu verringern. Der Verkehrssektor kann ebenso wie die Bereiche Prozess- und Gebäudewärme hier­zu wesentlich beitragen. Die Kernenergie ist mit großen Risiken belastet und kann nicht hinreichend schnell aufgebaut werden. Biomasse in Form von Energie­pflan­zen zu nutzen, ist ineffizient und steht im Konflikt mit anderen Arten der Land­nut­zung. Importe klimaneutral erzeugter Energieträger in sehr großem Umfang er­for­dern extrem große Investitionen im Ausland. Sie sind eine ungesicherte Option auf die Zukunft. Entscheidend ist daher der ausreichend schnelle Ausbau von Photovoltaik (PV) und Wind­kraft in Deutschland. Schätzungsweise kann der Elektrizitätsbedarf im Jahr 2030 z.B. durch den Ausbau auf ca. 350 GW PV und ca. 150 GW Windkraft nahe­zu voll­ständig regenerativ gedeckt werden. Damit ließe sich eine zum großen Teil elek­tri­fizierte Mobilität und Wärmeversorgung betreiben und ein Teil des benö­tig­ten "grü­nen" Wasserstoffs in Deutschland bereitstellen. Hierfür ist ein jähr­licher Zu­bau von durchschnittlich ca. 30 GW PV und ca. 9 GW Windkraft nötig. Dies ist ca. sechs- (PV) bzw. dreimal (Wind) so hoch wie bisher vorgesehen und verlangt eine ge­sell­schaft­liche Kraftanstrengung. Ein weiter verzögerter Ausbau müsste mit noch deut­lich größeren gesellschaftlichen Anstrengungen für drastische Energieeinspa­run­gen oder Importe erneuerbarer Energie ausgeglichen werden. Insgesamt könnte dies noch deutlich schwieriger zu realisieren sein, als ein ambitionierter Ausbau. Da der Auf­bau der Kapazitäten mehrere Jahre erfordert, ist es möglich nachzusteuern, z. B. wenn erkennbar wird, dass sich ein ausreichend großer globaler Markt für Importe ent­wi­ckelt. Bis dahin ist es aus Verantwortung gegen­über der Zukunft und im Sinne des Pariser Vertrages empfehlenswert, die hier genannten Ausbauziele zu verfol­gen. Grüner, also aus erneuerbaren Energien hergestellter Wasserstoff und daraus abge­lei­tete Syntheseprodukte sind für die Dekarbonisierung von Industrieprozessen, den Flug- und Schiffsverkehr sowie für die Absicherung der Energieversorgung bei Dun­kel­flauten nötig. Ohne die genannten Ausbauziele für Wind und Solar noch drastisch weiter zu erhöhen, stehen diese Produkte für Straßenverkehr und Wärmeversor­gung jedoch nicht in ausreichenden Mengen zur Verfügung. Techniken zum Aus­gleich zwischen Elektrizitätsangebot und -nachfrage sind verfügbar und sollten recht­zeitig auf- bzw. ausgebaut werden. Hierzu gehören: Stromaustausch mit den Nach­barländern, Flexibilisierung des Verbrauchs und Energiespeicherung. Für deren Inte­gration sowie den Ausbau der Netze sollten zügig verbesserte rechtliche Rah­men­bedingungen geschaffen werden. Die Kosten eines klimaverträglichen Energiesystems sind mittel- bis langfristig nicht hö­her als im derzeitigen System. Gleichzeitig entstehen Arbeitsplätze und Export­chan­cen durch Aufbau, Betrieb und Wartung einer regenerativen Energieversorgung in Deutschland und die energetische Gebäudesanierung. Die politischen Rahmenbe­din­gungen entscheiden, ob eine klimaverträgliche Energieversorgung Deutschlands ge­lingt. The research addressed the question of whether the CDPR was capable installing CWMs with sufficient accuracy while being competitive compared to conventional manual methods. In order to develop and test such a system, a conceptual framework that consisted of three sub-systems was defined. The tests, carried out in two close-to-real demonstration buildings, revealed an absolute accuracy of the CWM installation of 4 to 23 mm. The working time for installing a CWM was reduced to 0.51 h. The results also show that the system is competitive for a workspace greater than 96 m2 compared to conventional manual methods. However, improvements such as reducing the hours for setting up the CDPR on the one hand and achieving a faster and more robust MEE on the other hand will be still necessary in the future. CWMs are heavy prefabricated walls that are lifted normally with bindings and cranes. High stability is needed while positioning in order not to damage the fragile CWMs. Moreover, this activity requires high precision while positioning brackets, the modules, and for that reason, intensive survey and marking are necessary. In order to avoid such inconveniences, there were experiences to install façade modules in automatic mode using robotic devices. In the research project HEPHAESTUS, a novel system has been developed in order to install CWMs automatically. The system consists of two subsystems: a cable driven parallel robot (CDPR) and a set of robotic tools named as Modular End Effector (MEE). The platform of the CDPR hosts the MEE. This MEE performs the necessary tasks of installing the curtain wall modules. There are two main tasks that the CDPR and MEE need to achieve: first is the fixation of the brackets onto the concrete slab, and second is the picking and placing of the CWMs onto the brackets. The first integration of the aforementioned system was carried out in a controlled environment that resembled a building structure. The results of this first test show that there are minor deviations when positioning the CDPR platform. In future steps, the deviations will be compensated by the tools of the MEE and the installation of the CWM will be carried out with the required accuracy automatically. Europe and Germany are in the process of successfully establishing research and funding programs with the objective to dvance the technology’s ecosystem and industrialization, thereby ensuring digital sovereignty, security, and competitiveness. Such an ecosystem comprises hardware/software solution providers, system integrators, and users from research institutions, start-ups, and industry. The vision of the Quantum Technology and Application Consortium (QUTAC) is to establish and advance the quantum computing ecosystem, supporting the ambitious goals of the German government and various research programs. QUTAC is comprised of ten members representing different industries, in particular automotive manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical production, insurance, and technology. In this paper, we survey the current state of quantum computing in these sectors as well as the aerospace industry and identify the contributions of QUTAC to the ecosystem. We propose an application-centric approach for the industrialization of the technology based on proven business impact. This paper identifies 24 different use cases. By formalizing high-value use cases into well-described reference problems and benchmarks, we will guide technological progress and eventually commercialization. In Anbetracht möglicher negativer Implikationen durch das Anbringen einer starren HWS-Orthese muss deren Anwendung während der gesamten prähospitalen Phase kritisch hinterfragt werden. Ziel der Arbeit: Es sollten vergleichende biomechanische Messungen zur Beweglichkeit der HWS bei Immobilisation mittels Vakuummatratze mit und ohne zusätzliches Anbringen einer starren HWS-Orthese nach Lagerung auf der Trage durchgeführt werden. Material und Methoden: Die Bewegungen der HWS beim Ein- und Ausladeprozess in einen modernen RTW sowie während der Fahrt entlang eines vordefinierten Parkours wurden mit einem Motion-Capture-System aufgezeichnet. Die Probandin, an der die Messungen durchgeführt wurden, wurde auf einer Vakuummatratze mit der Möglichkeit zur seitlichen Fixierung des Kopfes sowie Kinn- und Stirngurt auf einer elektrohydraulischen Fahrtrage immobilisiert. Bei der einen Hälfte der Versuche erfolgte die zusätzliche Immobilisation der HWS mittels starrer Orthese, bei der anderen wurde auf die Anwendung einer HWS-Orthese verzichtet. Ergebnisse: Statistisch signifikante Unterschiede ergaben sich nur bei einigen biomechanischen Parametern in der sagittalen Ebene (Flexion und Extension). Für die anderen Bewegungsrichtungen (axiale Rotation, laterale Beugung) wurden keine signifikanten Unterschiede für die gemessenen Parameter ermittelt. Generell wurden sowohl bei den Versuchen mit HWS-Orthese als auch ohne HWS-Orthese nur sehr geringe Winkelauslenkungen (im Mittel bei axialer Rotation und Flexion/Extension im Bereich von einem bis 2 Grad, bei der lateralen Beugung höchstens 3 Grad) gemessen. Schlussfolgerung: Bei einer korrekt durchgeführten Immobilisation mittels einer Vakuummatratze mit der Möglichkeit zur seitlichen Stabilisierung des Kopfes sowie Kinn- und Stirngurt auf einer elektrohydraulischen Fahrtrage mit Beladesystem ergeben sich für den Ein- und Ausladeprozess sowie während der Fahrt in einem modernen RTW mit luftgefederter Tragenlagerung und Luftfederung der Hinterachse keine relevanten Vorteile bezüglich der Einschränkung der Bewegung der HWS durch die zusätzliche Verwendung einer starren HWS-Orthese. The electron source was realized with an array of silicon (Si) nanowhiskers on the top of elongated pillar structures, a mica spacer, and an extraction grid made of Si. As for most applications, the emitted electron current from the cathode is not as crucial as the transmitted electron flux through the extraction grid toward the anode. We investigated a method which allows the regulation directly by the emitted electron flux and not merely on the cathode current. By using this method, we were able to stabilize the emitted electron flux of our electron source down to values below 1%. Simultaneously, it was shown that there is the possibility to stabilize the influencing value in the real application as well. The effectiveness of this method was demonstrated successfully with an X-ray source setup. The measured X-ray photon count rate was stabilized to a standard deviation of 0.30% at a pressure of 1 × 10 -7 mbar. Even in harsh environment of 2 × 10 -5 mbar, a stabilization of the X-ray photon count rate down to a value of 0.63% was achieved. Current-voltage-characteristics at different pressure levels are recorded and show a decreasing emission current with rising pressure. This decrease can be explained by an increase of the work function and charging of the emitter surface caused by adsorbates. The emission current can be restored to its initial value by heating of the FEA up to 110 °C during active emission. With this regeneration procedure, an extended lifetime from about 20 h to 440 h at a residual gas pressure of 10−5 mbar is achieved. Two types of samples with the same number of pillars (arrays of 10 × 10) but different pillar heights (8 and 20 μm) were prepared as well as a black silicon reference sample without pillars. The field emission properties of these cathodes were investigated both by means of integral current-voltage measurements and by field emission scanning microscopy. Samples with a pillar height of 20 μm revealed onset fields as low as 6.4 V/μm, field enhancement factors up to 800, and emission currents up to 8 μA at an applied field of 20 V/μm. Due to the p-type material, a saturation of the emission current for fields above 11 V/μm was observed. This saturation leads to a stable operation with a current fluctuation of less than ±8%. It was found that samples with a pillar height of 20 μm showed improved emission characteristics compared to samples with a pillar height of 8 μm or without pillars. The voltage maps revealed an increased emission homogeneity after a “burn-in” sequence of the sample. The current map showed that a few of the pillars dominate the emission. Integral current stability measurements were performed under different vacuum pressures, in order to investigate altered emission behavior and a potential degradation of the emitters. At pressures above 10−6 mbar, the sample starts to degrade irreversibly. Nevertheless, even after a harsh treatment over 30 min at 5 × 10−5 mbar and at an applied field of 23 V/μm, the cathode was still operating, and did not fail during further operation over 20 h at 5 × 10−8 mbar and at an applied field of 28 V/μm. The method for calculating the voltage drop on current-limiting circuit elements is based on circuit theory as well as Newton's method. Since the only assumption the authors make on the current-limiting circuit is a connection in series, this method is applicable to most field emission data showing saturation. To be able to determine the significance of any parameter output, the uncertainties of data and extracted parameters as well as the parameter correlations are fully taken into account throughout the algorithm. N-type silicon samples with varying external serial resistors are analyzed. All results show a good agreement to the nominal resistor values. Additionally, several p-type samples are analyzed, showing a diodelike behavior. The extracted current-limiting characteristics of the p-type samples are in good agreement with a pn-junction model. The stability of the emission current of the p-type samples is measured by constant voltage measurements and compared to the extracted current-limiting characteristics. The application of the algorithm to measurement data shows that the given algorithm is a valuable tool to analyze field emission measurement data influenced by nonemissive processes. A key parameter for this application is the stability of the X-ray photon flux and, thus, the emission current. In the present work we have investigated the influence of the residual gas pressure and a resistor in series on the emission stability of a high aspect ratio n-type silicon emitter array with hybrid extraction electrode. An increase of current fluctuations was found for pressures above 10-6 mbar. High resistances in series to the emitter array alter the emission characteristics, but greatly suppress spikes in the emission current and improve its stability. This, however, strongly depends on the bias point. The field enhancement factor is not affected by the resistance. In a long term measurement the emission current was found to be constant after an initial phase of degradation. To address this knowledge gap, we aimed to summarize the current body of legal literature on medical 3DP in the US legal system.
