The resistance (R) is expressed in ohm (Ohm), its inverse is the conductance (C) is expressed in siemens (S). The resistance is function of geometry of tested body and measurement device. So one generally prefers the resistivity (ρΩ) expressed in ohm-meter (Ohm·m), or its inverse the conductivity (σ) in siemens per meter (S/m), representing the intrinsic material’s property.
