    <title language="eng">Impacts of lifestyle changes on energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions in Germany</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Most energy scenario studies typically focus on technological options and fuel substitution for decarbonising future energy systems. Lifestyle changes are rarely considered, although they can significantly reduce energy demand and climate change mitigation efforts. By using an energy system model, this study shows that it is possible to reduce final energy demand in Germany by 61 % in 2050 relative to 2019 levels, resulting in an annual per capita energy demand of 44 GJ for a representative country of the Global North. This goal can be achieved through a combination of technological measures and lifestyle changes without sacrificing a decent standard of living. Societal chances can eliminate reliance on not-yet-established negative emission technologies, reduce energy dependency, and reduce the need for energy-intensive hydrogen and e-fuels. Downsizing the energy system provides an opportunity for strengthening climate change mitigation, decrease material demand and reduce land use.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Strategies for Minimizing Environmental Impact in Construction: A Case Study of a Cementitious 3D Printed Lost Formwork for a Staircase</title>
    <abstract language="eng">The construction industry faces significant challenges, including environmental sustainability, rising material costs, and a shortage of skilled labor. Digital fabrication technologies offer innovative solutions to address these issues by reducing raw material consumption and waste generation. Among these, 3D printing technologies offer distinct advantages over traditional construction methods, particularly in handling complex geometries. However, the significant environmental impact of cement in 3D printed concrete, due to its high rheological and printability requirements, remains a concern. This study&#13;
introduces a novel application of 3D printed permanent formwork in the construction of a winder staircase, assessed through an Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) from cradle to gate. By comparing the environmental impacts of various construction materials and processes, this study highlights the comparative advantages and disadvantages of conventional methods versus 3D printing. The LCA results reveal that traditional production methods, particularly those using plywood formwork, exhibit higher environmental impacts. In contrast, timber formwork performs better than most 3D printed mixtures&#13;
in terms of Global Warming Potential (GWP), Acidification Potential (AP), and abiotic depletion potential (ADP). The findings of this study underscore the potential of additive manufacturing for sustainable construction, particularly through the use of low-clinker cement in 3D printed formwork, offering a promising pathway towards reducing the environmental footprint of construction activities</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Photodissociation-Driven Photoacoustic Spectroscopy with UV-LEDs for Ozone Detection</title>
    <abstract language="eng">This study presents the development and evaluation of a UV-LED based photoacoustic (PA) measurement system for ozone (O3) detection to demonstrate its potential for low-cost and accurate sensing while for the first time addressing the importance of photodissociation for PA signal generation for O3 in the UV range. With a detection limit of 7.9 ppbV, the system exhibits a significant advancement over state-of-the-art UV-PA O3 detection and is on par with laser-based setups. Following a novel discussion of the PA signal arising from photodissociation and its products, cross-sensitivity effects due to environmental factors such as temperature and gas composition were systematically analyzed. A digital twin driven compensation for these influences was implemented and evaluated. Despite the challenges associated with modeling the effects of H2O and CO2, the PA system shows considerable potential, though further studies in real world applications must be conducted.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">From Captive Centers to Global Integration</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Contemporary developments in virtual work and global talent management are transforming information technology (IT) nearshoring and offshoring practices, yet research on organizational responses remains limited. Through expert interviews with 33 IT executives (76% chief information officers) from Germany's top 500 companies, this article examines organizational models, strategies, and good practices in IT nearshoring and offshoring. It reveals a shift from traditional captive centers toward fully integrated global teams, enabling high-value task delivery and reflecting increased workforce maturity. Companies are expanding their operations driven by talent needs rather than cost savings, with success factors including employee integration and robust on-site management. This study contributes to theory and practice by providing a framework for understanding organizational models in global IT delivery and offering actionable insights for executives, emphasizing workforce integration over geographical separation.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Preservation of wetting ridges using field-induced plasticity of magnetoactive elastomers</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Hypothesis. &#13;
The presence of a wetting ridge is crucial for many wetting phenomena on soft substrates. Conventional experimental observations of a wetting ridge require permanent presence of a droplet. The magnetic field-induced plasticity effect (FIPE) of soft magnetoative elastomers (MAEs) allows one to overcome this limitation. Depositing a droplet onto an MAE surface and applying a magnetic field fixes the wetting ridge in place due to the FIPE. The droplet can be removed to investigate the ridge with ease using conventional optical methods.&#13;
Experiments. &#13;
The wetting ridge is observed on MAEs with different shear moduli and different material thicknesses by confocal laser scanning microscopy (LSM). The preservation quality of the ridge is analyzed for several values of magnetic field from 10 mT to 270 mT. To verify the plausibilty of results obtained, the measured shape is compared to a theoretical model by Style &amp; Dufresne.&#13;
Findings. &#13;
Upon removal of the sessile droplet, the deformation remains embossed onto the MAE surface as long as the magnetic field remains applied. The height of the ridge peak on soft samples (effective shear modulus&#13;
 kPa) is close to the theoretical prediction for a magnetic flux density of 50 mT. The magnitude of the external magnetic field magnifies the height of the wetting ridge.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Impact of heat treatment on the surface quality of electropolished WE43 alloy</title>
    <abstract language="eng">In this study, the Mg alloy WE43 was solution annealed and precipitation hardened prior to electropolishing to evaluate the effects of different microstructures on the electropolishing result. While coarsely distributed precipitates led to surfaces showing wavy structures and dents after electropolishing, a uniform microstructure resulted in an even finish of the surface. The homogenization and refinement of the microstructure by heat treatment is a method to ensure improved electropolished surfaces of Mg materials</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Photoacoustic trace-analysis of breath isoprene and acetone via interband- and Quantum Cascade Lasers</title>
    <abstract language="eng">This research presents two laser-based photoacoustic approaches for analyzing exhaled breath isoprene and acetone. The integration of a PTR-ToF-MS as a reference device ensured the reliability and accuracy of the photoacoustic systems that is based on an ICL for isoprene and a QCL for acetone detection. The calibration yielded limits of detection of 26.9 ppbV and 1.7 ppbV, respectively, and corresponding normalized noise equivalent absorption coefficients (NNEAs) of 5.0E-9 Wcm 1Hz 0.5 and 4.9E-9 Wcm 1Hz 0.5. Laboratory as well as real breath sample measurements from alveolar breath revealed a robust system performance, with only one outlier within the static isoprene measurements. However, discrepancies emerged under dynamic breath sampling conditions, emphasizing the need for further optimization.     <title language="eng">Increasing efficiency and sustainability: A comparative analysis of concrete 3D printing and traditional methods based on case studies</title>
    <abstract language="eng">At the forthcoming Concrete Solutions 2025 conference, the subject of concrete 3D printing will be explored in the “Case Studies” category, with a comparison to traditional methods. Concrete 3D printing offers several significant advantages, including the ability to create complex geometries, increased material efficiency, faster build times and cost savings. These are particularly important in the context of the current skilled labour shortage and emphasis on resource efficiency in construction. Nevertheless, challenges persist in the areas of machine reliability, process integration, and material adaptation to meet the requirements of 3D printing. The case studies will present modular and design-engineering-based strategies for the development of efficient, scalable automation solutions that integrate 3D printing into existing processes and allow for project-specific customisation through selective automation. These findings provide a robust framework for industrial applications that enhance efficiency and adaptability. By comparing concrete 3D printing to conventional methods, the insights offer a foundation for advancing automated production in construction, promoting scalable, resource-efficient, and economically sustainable practices that address the industry’s evolving demands.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Data-driven model order reduction with surrogate elements for transient simulations</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Purpose – The purpose of this study is to introduce surrogate elements for static and transient finite element simulations. These elements are designed to replace regions of several conventional solid elements with a single artificial element that possesses a reduced number of degrees of freedoms (dofs). A notable advantage of our surrogate elements is their seamless integration into standard finite element meshes.&#13;
Design/methodology/approach – The construction of the surrogate elements stiffness and mass matrices is achieved through an optimization process wherein displacements serve as the optimization objective. Moreover, the matrices are designed to possess properties analogous to those of standard finite elements. A particular focus is placed on ensuring that the artificial stiffness matrices are positive semi-definite. Furthermore, artificial degrees of freedom are introduced.&#13;
Findings – The efficacy of the proposed technique is demonstrated through its application to two different use cases. It is demonstrated that, despite being trained on examples comprising a single surrogate element, the surrogate elements can be employed multiple times within complex and practical models. The degree of accuracy achieved in these applications is noteworthy. Moreover, the proposed method is considerably faster than the fully discretized models.&#13;
Originality/value – The study expands the field of substructuring and model order reduction by incorporating artificial surrogate elements built by neural networks, which enables seamless integration with standard finite element analysis via positive semi-definite matrices. Furthermore, the introduction of artificial degrees of freedom, which are detached from the computational domain, is proposed. Once trained, the surrogate elements can be utilised in load and support independent scenarios.</abstract>

    <abstract language="deu">Der Klimawandel lenkt den Fokus im Bauwesen zunehmend auf die Reduktion von Treibhausgasen und die Förderung nachhaltiger Materialien. Baustoffe wie Lehm gewinnen dank ihrer ökologischen und bauphysikalischen Vorteile an Bedeutung. Eine zentrale Herausforderung stellt die Definition standardisierter Prüfmethoden für Stampflehm dar.&#13;
Dieser Beitrag analysiert Forschungsergebnisse zur Geometrie von Stampflehmprobekörpern mittels Literaturrecherche und vergleicht experimentelle Untersuchungen sowie relevante Normen und Testmethoden. Die Auswertung zeigt, dass äußere Einflüsse wie Mischungszusammensetzung, Verdichtungsenergie, Gesteinskörnung und Tonminerale eine zentrale Rolle spielen. Eine Vereinheitlichung von Probengeometrie, Lagerung und Prüfverfahren ist essenziell, um reproduzierbare Ergebnisse zu erzielen und die mechanischen Kennwerte von Stampflehm vergleichbar zu machen. Ziel ist es, einheitliche Standards zu entwickeln, um die Stampflehmbauweise in der Praxis zu fördern.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Ethical Considerations of AI in Education: A Case Study based on Pythia Learning Enhancement System</title>
    <abstract language="eng">As the use of AI in education increases, addressing ethical concerns is essential for its responsible use and implementation. This study explores the ethical considerations of AI in education by analyzing a concrete application, the Pythia Learning Enhancement System, which enables personalized and adaptive educational experiences. In this case study, the concrete implementation of Pythia, contrary to high-level abstract analyses, provides practical insights into these ethical issues. To achieve this goal, we first define Pythia and outline its implementation. Using the various topics covered by Pythia, the ethical issues associated with each of these topics are outlined, resulting in a list of ten distinct ethical issues. Because there is overlap in issues covered by similar applications, they can benefit from this identification. An ethical (human rights) and didactic (constructivism) theoretical background is then provided as a basis for further discussion. This is used to build the arguments used in the main study. This consists of analyzing each of the issues and providing recommendations to mitigate potential harm arising from these issues. This helps to provide guidelines for future applications. In the analysis, the ethical discussion is mainly based on the human rights of the stakeholders involved, emphasizing human dignity. After the analysis, each of the issues is contextualized with the recent AI Act of the European Union, providing a novel mapping of the issues of AI in education to the AI Act. Finally, the limitations of the study are stated and a plan for future research is presented.</abstract>

    <title language="deu">IT-Near- und Offshoring in deutschen Großunternehmen: Aktueller Stand, Motive und Auswahlkriterien</title>
    <abstract language="deu">Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die aktuelle IT-Near- und Offshoring-Praxis in deutschen Großunternehmen. Dafür wurden 33 CIOs und IT-Führungskräfte mittels Interviews befragt. Haupttreiber der geografischen Verlagerung von IT-Services ins Ausland ist die Ressourcenverfügbarkeit in anderen Ländern, bedingt durch den Fachkräftemangel in Deutschland. Dies trifft auch auf die Auswahl geeigneter IT-Services für das Near- und Offshoring zu. Während IT-Near- und Offshoring historisch primär aufgrund von Kosteneinsparungen initiiert wurde, spielt dieser Aspekt heute eine untergeordnete Rolle. Die Interviewteilnehmer und -teilnehmerinnen sehen in Kosteneinsparungen zwar immer noch einen positiven Effekt, erwarten aber, dass dieser in Zukunft aufgrund der Angleichung des Kostenniveaus schwinden wird. Die Unternehmen verlagern hauptsächlich Applikationsbetrieb und -entwicklung, erkennen jedoch zunehmend das Potenzial, auch höherwertige Aufgaben, z. B. Projektmanagement und Unternehmensarchitekturmanagement, aus geografisch entfernteren Ländern erbringen zu lassen. Unternehmen, die ausschließlich IT-Nearshoring betreiben, erbringen weniger als ein Drittel ihrer IT-Services aus nahegelegenen Ländern. Firmen mit IT-Offshoring-Präsenzen weisen einen höheren IT-Near‑/Offshoringgrad auf und verlagern knapp die Hälfte der eigenen IT-Serviceerbringung ins Ausland. Die beliebtesten Länder sind Portugal für das Nearshoring und Indien für das Offshoring.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">From their eyes: Deaflympic athletes' and coaches' perspectives on mental training</title>
    <abstract language="eng">INTRODUCTION&#13;
Sport psychology research has largely overlooked athletes with hearing impairments competing in Deaflympic sports, the designated elite sporting movement for this population. This study therefore explored Deaflympic athletes' and coaches' perspectives on mental training in the elite Deaf sports.&#13;
METHODS&#13;
A qualitative approach was used, involving six focus group interviews with 23 athletes (Mage = 33.09; 26.1% female) and four coaches from individual and team Deaf sports. Data were analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis.&#13;
RESULTS&#13;
Three themes emerged: sport psychology consultation, the influence of visual orientation on psychological skills and demands, and Deaf sport culture and communication. While participants expressed strong interest in sport psychology, engagement with professionals was limited by accessibility issues, lack of sign language-fluent consultants, and structural barriers. Deaf athletes reported adapting some techniques to match their visual-spatial orientation and both advantages and challenges of visual reliance in sports. Distinct communication dynamics between native signers and spoken-language users within Deaf teams were also revealed.&#13;
DISCUSSION&#13;
These findings highlight the importance of culturally sensitive sport psychology frameworks that support the needs and preferences of Deaflympic athletes and promote equitable access to effective mental training resources.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Fabrication of Bisphenol-free Boron-Siloxane Polymers</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Interest in the preparation of magnetoactive boron-siloxane polymers (MBP) has been stimulated by recent scientific developments. However, recent regulations have prohibited the inclusion of Bisphenol-A normally employed in the manufacture of commercially available products.&#13;
In the following publication, two different routes for the preparation of magnetoactive borosiloxane polymers have been taken. First, the possibilities of obtaining homogeneous mixtures of magnetoactive polymers by mixing the magnetic particles with the polymer using solid CO2 (dry ice) and stirring (shearing) are investigated. In the course of the work, an approach for the preparation of reference materials of different viscosities was made to prove the transferability to other elastomers. This is then followed by a brief review of the reaction of the polymer with different solvents in relation to the mixing with particles. In manually kneaded compounds, dispersions ranging from 0.00004 to 0.004 particles per mm3 are common. The process described in this work resulted in agglomerations of no greater than 0.00004 particles per mm3&#13;
A possible synthesis route for bisphenol-free boron-siloxanes is then considered, in which for the polymer matrix, polydimethylsilanes (dichloro(methyl)silane), boric acid and iron(III)chloride are used for this purpose by polycondensation.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Effect of temperature on the growth of Cupric and Cuprous Nanoparticles in a wet chemical synthesis</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Cuprous oxide (Cu2O) and cupric oxide (CuO) particles were synthesized using a wet chemical surfactant free method at different synthesis temperatures from 25 °C to 60 °C. Morphology, size, and chemical composition of the prepared Cu2O particles were analyzed by FESEM, PXRD, and UV-vis. We discovered that the chemical composition of the Cu2O particles remained unaffected by the synthesis temperature. However, morphology and size of the particles showed a strong temperature dependency. This could be attributed to the temperature induced formation of CuO species from the copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) precursor which also functions as copper precursor for the Cu2O particle growth. The cupric oxide species was determined to be the main cause for the formation of micrometer sized particles, whereas with the Cu(OH)2 precursor species for the Cu2O particles nanocubes with smaller edge lengths as well as octahedrons were obtained.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Prediction of the wear behavior of a conveyor belt with flexible rollers</title>
    <abstract language="eng">This paper introduces a method to predict wear behavior in conveyor belt systems using a lumped mass modeling approach. While previous research has focused primarily on lateral belt walking, this study shifts attention to belt deformation and its associated wear. Both significantly affect system efficiency and component lifespan. The authors propose using local frictional power as a wear indicator, leveraging its direct relation to frictional work in established wear models. To solely demonstrate the method, the study simulates a conveyor belt with three flexible rollers and a deformable belt modeled through rigid spheres connected by spring-damper elements. The authors visualize frictional power density across the belt width, distinguishing between running and transverse directions. The results demonstrate that the frictional power distribution depends heavily on discretization quality, particularly due to the polygon effect inherent in the lumped mass approach. A convergence analysis reveals the minimum necessary discretization of the belt, ensuring reliable qualitative results. To support the credibility of the work, this study compares theoretical expectations and initial wear observations from a real belt with the results from the shown approach. The plausibility check already shows promising results. The proposed methodology provides an adaptable framework to evaluate wear in belt-like structures. It can be readily adapted to a variety of multibody dynamics applications and integrated into larger MBS models that include the overall drivetrain and engine control. Future work will focus on refining discretization strategies and contact models, as well as validation of the wear model to enable quantitative predictions.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Towards AI-enhanced facade planning : integrating human expertise with machine learning-driven parametric modeling</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Planning modern facade systems is complex, requiring optimization across multiple domains.This paper proposes an AI-enhanced workflow for facade planning, harnessing computer vision and human input via a Large Language Model.A generative AI system then guides a parametric model to produce 3D facade designs. Automated checks provide feedback to a Reinforcement Learning system, to iteratively determine optimal solutions.These solutions are verified and finalized by human expertise, ensuring improved outcomes with reduce planning time and effort.The approach illustrates how combining advanced AI methods with human expertise can address the multifactorial challenges of facade design within current industry practices.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Enhancing generalization in zero-shot multi-label endoscopic instrument classiﬁcation</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Purpose &#13;
Recognizing previously unseen classes with neural networks is a signiﬁcant challenge due to their limited generalization capabilities. This issue is particularly critical in safety-critical domains such as medical applications, where accurate classiﬁcation is essential for reliability and patient safety. Zero-shot learning methods address this challenge by utilizing additional semantic data, with their performance relying heavily on the quality of the generated embeddings.&#13;
&#13;
Methods &#13;
This work investigates the use of full descriptive sentences, generated by a Sentence-BERT model, as class representations, compared to simpler category-based word embeddings derived from a BERT model. Additionally, the impact of z-score normalization as a post-processing step on these embeddings is explored. The proposed approach is evaluated on a multi-label generalized zero-shot learning task, focusing on the recognition of surgical instruments in endoscopic images from minimally invasive cholecystectomies.&#13;
&#13;
Results &#13;
The results demonstrate that combining sentence embeddings and z-score normalization signiﬁcantly improves model performance. For unseen classes, the AUROC improves from 43.9% to 64.9%, and the multi-label accuracy from 26.1% to 79.5%. Overall performance measured across both seen and unseen classes improves from 49.3% to 64.9% in AUROC and from 37.3% to 65.1% in multi-label accuracy, highlighting the effectiveness of our approach.&#13;
&#13;
Conclusion &#13;
These ﬁndings demonstrate that sentence embeddings and z-score normalization can substantially enhance the generalization performance of zero-shot learning models. However, as the study is based on a single dataset, future work should validate the method across diverse datasets and application domains to establish its robustness and broader applicability.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Application of the Hull Cell for Identifying Electropolishing Parameters to Adjust Surface Morphology in Additive Manufacturing</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Additively processed materials are increasingly used to manufacture customized parts, e.g. medical implants. Implant surfaces often require a smooth finish, which can be achieved by post-processing and well-defined process parameters. In this study, the effects of electropolishing of metal parts produced by laser powder bed fusion are investigated using Hull cell experiments and a three-electrode setup. Current density voltage curves were measured with the three-electrode setup to identify the regimes for electropolishing. Subsequently different constant-currents were applied and Hull cell experiments were conducted. The surface roughness (Sz, Sa) and the mass removal were analysed. Surface morphologies were assessed using laser scanning and scanning electron microscopy. A reduction of the initial surface roughness of more than 90% to Sa &amp;lt; 0.3 μm has been achieved. Considering the passed electrical charge during electropolishing, results from Hull cell experiments are systematically correlated with current-controlled electropolishing. This approach enables the precise tailoring of polishing parameters to achieve surfaces with defined roughness. Furthermore, the study demonstrates the suitability of Hull cells in determining electropolishing parameters for additive materials and highlights their contribution to post-processing in additive manufacturing.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Group rehabilitation for adults with acquired neurological disorders: A systematic review of mono- and interdisciplinary interventions in physical and speech-language therapy</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Background: Group treatments and interdisciplinary collaboration are recommended in evidence-based guidelines for neurorehabilitation, including physical and speech-language therapy. Evidence suggests that activating overlapping neural networks for upper extremity motor control and speechlanguage processing produces synergistic effects during therapy. This systematic&#13;
review aims to overview and appraise the efficacy of group treatments in traditional rehabilitation and telerehabilitation. In addition to summarizing evidence on monodisciplinary approaches in physical and speech-language therapy, it seeks data on integrative approaches involving one or both disciplines to inform further interdisciplinary collaboration.&#13;
Methods: The review was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42021288012) and followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Systematic searches were conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Library. Two reviewers independently screened studies, extracted data, and assessed quality using AMSTAR 2, the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale, or the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Checklist, as appropriate. The evidence was summarized in a systematic narrative synthesis and its certainty rated based on the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach.&#13;
Results: A total of 29 studies were included: 16 on speech-language therapy (861 participants) and 13 on physical therapy (1757 participants). No studies addressed interdisciplinary group interventions, and only two evaluated group telerehabilitation. Outcome domains and measures varied across studies and the certainty of evidence was predominantly low. However, moderate-certainty evidence supports that group speech-language therapy improves quality of life,&#13;
communication, and language in stroke survivors, especially when interventions emphasize verbal production in communicative settings with multimodal materials and cueing. In physical therapy, circuit class training may be more effective than other group approaches for enhancing quality of life and mobility. &#13;
Conclusion: Group treatments in neurorehabilitation show some benefits, but further research is needed – especially regarding interdisciplinary approaches and telerehabilitation.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Application of a transformer encoder for the prediction of intra-abdominal pressure</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Intra-abdominal pressure is a significant physiological parameter influencing spinal stability and pelvic floor health. This study investigates the potential of a transformer encoder model to predict IAP using motion capture data and musculoskeletal modeling. Data from 211 subjects performing walking, fast walking, and running were used to train a transformer encoder. The model showed promising results with an overall Mean Absolute Percentage Error of 13.5% and a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.85. Predictions for fast walking and running proved to be more challenging compared to walking, which was attributed to the greater variability and complexity of faster movements.</abstract>

    <title language="deu">Akzeptanz des Einsatzes von Künstlicher Intelligenz im Anamneseprozess: Ergebnisse einer Bevölkerungsbefragung in Deutschland</title>
    <abstract language="deu">Hintergrund und Zielsetzung&#13;
Zunehmend werden digitale Anamneseverfahren, wie z. B. Chatbots, entwickelt und evaluiert, sind jedoch in Arztpraxen in Deutschland noch nicht flächendeckend implementiert. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Erhebung der Akzeptanz der Bevölkerung in Deutschland gegenüber KI-gestützten Verfahren im Anamneseprozess, durch die es möglich wird, Rückschlüsse auf die Nutzung der Verfahren und ihre Eignung als Bestandteil von Digitalisierungsstrategien der Praxen zu ziehen.&#13;
Methode&#13;
Die Studie basiert auf einer Onlinebefragung der Bevölkerung in Deutschland (Feldphase 18.-24.11.2024, n = 1.000). Zurückgehend auf die „Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology“ (UTAUT) wurden drei zentrale Hypothesen zur Nutzung von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) im Anamneseprozess aufgestellt und mit linearen Regressionsmodellen getestet.&#13;

Die Akzeptanz für die Nutzung von KI-gestützten Systemen fällt in beiden untersuchten Szenarien, der Nutzung eines Chatbots zu Hause und der Nutzung eines Chatbots in einer Arztpraxis, hoch aus. Dabei bestätigen sich die erwarteten Zusammenhänge von Leistungserwartung, Aufwandserwartung und erwartetem Sozialem Einfluss mit der Verhaltensabsicht, einen Chatbot in der Arztpraxis oder vor dem Besuch einer Arztpraxis zu nutzen. Die Einflüsse von Alter, Geschlecht oder Erfahrung mit der Technologie zeigen jedoch nicht die vermuteten Zusammenhänge.&#13;
Diskussion und Schlussfolgerung&#13;
Die Praktikabilität ist von entscheidender Bedeutung für eine positive Einstellung gegenüber der Nutzung. Dabei zeigt sich kein Unterschied zwischen den Geschlechtern. Bei der Implementierung von Chatbots im Anamneseprozess sollten die Aspekte Praktikabilität, Datenschutz und Datensicherheit eine wesentliche Rolle spielen. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass ein großer Teil der älteren Bevölkerung in Deutschland nach wie vor über begrenzte Erfahrung mit digitalen Technologien verfügt, ist Gebrauchstauglichkeit für diese Bevölkerungsgruppe sowie für Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen von hoher Relevanz.</abstract>
    <abstract language="eng">Background and objectives&#13;
Digital tools for medical history-taking, such as chatbots, are increasingly being developed and evaluated but have not yet been implemented across the board in medical practices in Germany. The aim of this study was to survey the acceptance of AI-supported tools for medical history-taking among the German population, thereby allowing conclusions to be drawn about the use of these tools and their suitability as part of digitalization strategies in medical practices.&#13;
Method&#13;
The study is based on an online survey among the German population (fieldwork November 18 to 24, 2024, n = 1,000). Based on the ‘Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology’ (UTAUT), three central hypotheses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the medical history-taking process were generated and tested using linear regression models.&#13;
Results&#13;
In the two scenarios examined — patients using a chatbot at home and at the doctor’s office — there was a high level of acceptance for the use of AI-supported systems. The expected relationships between Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy and expected Social Influence with the behavioral intention to use a chatbot either in the doctor’s office or before visiting the doctor’s office have been confirmed. However, influential factors such as age, gender, or experience with technology do not show the expected correlations.&#13;
Discussion and conclusion&#13;
Practicability is crucial for a favorable attitude towards AI applications. There were no apparent gender differences. When implementing chatbots in the medical history-taking process, the aspects of practicability, data protection, and data security should play a key role. Given that a large number of the elderly in Germany still have limited experience with digital technologies, usability is highly relevant for both this population group and for people with disabilities.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Stacking the odds: full-stack quantum system design space exploration</title>
    <abstract language="deu">Design space exploration (DSE) plays an important role in optimising quantum circuit execution by systematically evaluating different configurations of compilation strategies and hardware settings. In this paper, we conduct a comprehensive investigation into the impact of various layout methods, qubit routing techniques, and optimisation levels, as well as device-specific properties such as different variants and strengths of noise and imperfections, the topological structure of qubits, connectivity densities, and back-end sizes. By spanning through these dimensions, we aim to understand the interplay between compilation choices and hardware characteristics. A key question driving our exploration is whether the optimal selection of device parameters, mapping techniques, comprising of initial layout strategies and routing heuristics can mitigate device induced errors beyond standard error mitigation approaches. Our results show that carefully selecting software strategies (e.g., mapping and routing algorithms) and tailoring hardware characteristics (such as minimising noise and leveraging topology and connectivity density) significantly improve the fidelity of circuit execution outcomes, and thus the expected correctness or success probability of the computational result. We provide estimates based on key metrics such as circuit depth, gate count and expected fidelity. Our results highlight the importance of hardware–software co-design, particularly as quantum systems scale to larger dimensions, and along the way towards fully error corrected quantum systems: Our study is based on computationally noisy simulations, but considers various implementations of quantum error correction (QEC) using the same approach as for other algorithms. The observed sensitivity of circuit fidelity to noise and connectivity suggests that co-design principles will be equally critical when integrating QEC in future systems. Our exploration provides practical guidelines for co-optimising physical mapping, qubit routing, and hardware configurations in realistic quantum computing scenarios.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">A heuristic packet processing model for improved encrypted network analysis</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Modern networked systems, such as those in the automotive sector, face increasing complexity and growing attack surfaces due to the rise of interconnected and data-driven technologies. Detecting malicious behavior in these environments requires efficient and scalable methods that can operate reliably despite limited resources and high communication volumes. This paper proposes a heuristic packet processing model designed to support intrusion detection based on structural and temporal characteristics of encrypted network traffic. The model follows a modular architecture consisting of four key phases: recording, sorting, prioritizing, and analyzing. At the core of the approach is the Polymetric Queueing Topology Space, a feature space that combines statistical and time series attributes derived from model structure and flow data. These features serve as input for machine learning models, which can effectively distinguish between benign and intrusion traffic patterns without relying on packet data beyond the transport layer. The approach was evaluated using the publicly available ToN_IoT dataset and demonstrated that reliable classification is achievable using a subset of the developed feature space that contains model-derived traffic features. We used Random Forest for supervised binary and multi-class classification achieving high accuracy scores of 99% for binary and 98% for multi-class classification. Additionally, for unsupervised anomaly detection, we created an Isolation Forest model accomplishing F1-scores of 0.92 for the benign and 0.96 for intrusion class. The architecture is designed to enable dynamic traffic prioritization and to offer a flexible foundation that can observe diverse network domains while maintaining efficient performance under constrained computational conditions.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Influence of plant dimensioning and location on the ecology of PEM electrolysis</title>
    <abstract language="eng">PV and wind systems with PEM electrolysis offer great potential for producing hydrogen with low emissions. Our research has identified the ecologically optimal size of PEM in relation to fixed PV/wind capacities. We calculate efficiencies and production volumes for PEM with 240 capacity and site variations. We analyse the global warming potential of all systems and draw conclusions about the optimal system design. The lowest GWP is achieved at the site with the highest full load hours with 1.32 kg CO2-eq/kg H2 (Wind, 28 MW electrolysis) and 4.24 kg CO2-eq/kg H2 (PV, 23 MW electrolysis). We have identified a clear trend: increasing PV/wind full load hours leads to higher ideal PEM capacities. However, there is a significant discrepancy between the ideal economic and ecological capacity. Furthermore, higher electrolysis capacities can achieve lower emissions as they increasingly operate at a more efficient partial load.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Face-wise prediction of sheet-metal drawability using graph neural networks</title>
    <abstract language="eng">The early design phase of deep-drawn structural components involves time-consuming iterative development. Traditional drawability assessments rely on finite element simulations, which are computationally expensive and slow the design process. Alternative machine learning (ML) approaches show promise in accelerating this process but face challenges with existing methods. Existing low-dimensional ML models only provide global predictions without identifying specific geometric regions prone to failure. High-dimensional models provide local predictions but require significant amounts of training data. We propose a data-driven approach leveraging graph neural networks (GNNs) for face-wise drawability prediction of sheet metal components in their computer-aided design (CAD) representation. Our method aims to bridge the gap between the computational efficiency of ML and the spatial resolution of simulation by providing face-wise insight into potential failure regions. This study utilises a dataset of parametric U-channel geometries with variability in both geometry and topology. Ground-truth labels are generated using inverse analysis simulations. Geometric entities are represented through the use of UV parameterisations, whereby 3D surfaces are mapped into 2D space to facilitate geometric encoding. Concurrently, the topological relationships are captured using a face adjacency graph. To address data scarcity, we evaluate how different amounts of training data affect model performance and perform ablation studies to analyse the impact of different CAD representation features. Our results show that the proposed approach achieves high accuracy even with limited training data. In addition, the ablation studies provide insights into the most critical CAD features, guiding future research. These results highlight the potential of our GNN to predict face-wise drawability in the early design phase.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Is it worth it? Potential for reducing the environmental impact of bitumen roofing membrane production</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Between 51% and 72% of a bituminous roofing membrane used for structural water-proofing consists of organic material, predominantly bitumen - a derivative of crude oil refining - highlighting the strong dependence of this product on fossil resources. Considering that several tonnes of these membranes must be replaced every 30 to 50 years, substantial potential exists for emission reduction through the establishment of circular material systems. This study investigates this potential by analysing 26 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and life cycle datasets from across Europe  covering the period from 2007 to 2023. To ensure comparability, all data were normalised to a declared unit of 1 kg of roofing membrane. The reinforcement layers were categorised into glass and polyester &amp; glass composites, and their differences were examined using Welch’s t-tests.&#13;
Correlative analyses and linear as well as multiple regression models were then applied to explore relationships between environmental indicators and the shares of organic and mineral mass fractions. The findings reveal that renewable energy sources, although currently representing only a small share of total production energy, provide a major lever for&#13;
reducing nearly all environmental impact categories. The type of reinforcement layer was also found to influence the demand for fossil resources, both materially and energetically.&#13;
For most environmental indicators, only multiple regression models can explain at least 30% of the variance based on the proportions of organic and mineral inputs. Overall, the study underscores the crucial importance of high-quality, transparently documented product data for accurately assessing the sustainability of building products. It further demonstrates that substituting fossil energy carriers with renewable sources and optimising material efficiency can substantially reduce environmental burdens, provided that methodological consistency and clarity of indicator definitions are maintained.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">The impact of temporal hydrogen regulation on hydrogen exporters and their domestic energy transition</title>
    <abstract language="eng">As global demand for green hydrogen rises, potential hydrogen exporters move into the spotlight. While exports can bring countries revenue, large-scale on-grid hydrogen electrolysis for export can profoundly impact domestic energy prices and energy-related emissions. Our investigation explores the interplay of hydrogen exports, domestic energy transition and temporal hydrogen regulation, employing a sector-coupled energy model in Morocco. We find substantial co-benefits of domestic carbon dioxide mitigation and hydrogen exports, whereby exports can reduce market-based costs for domestic electricity consumers while mitigation reduces costs for hydrogen exporters. However, increasing hydrogen exports in a fossil-dominated system can substantially raise market-based costs for domestic electricity consumers, but surprisingly, temporal matching of hydrogen production can lower these costs by up to 31% with minimal impact on exporters. Here, we show that this policy instrument can steer the welfare (re-)distribution between hydrogen exporting firms, hydrogen importers, and domestic electricity consumers and hereby increases acceptance among actors.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">One- and two-sided prediction intervals for future Pareto record values with applications</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Based on upper record values in a series of observations over time from a Pareto distribution, an exact and several approximate one-sided and two-sided prediction intervals for the next record value (or for another future record value) to appear are studied and compared by means of an extensive simulation study. The performances of the prediction intervals are evaluated and recommendations are proposed for what method should be used in a given situation with respect to the form of the prediction interval on the one hand and to the tail behaviour on the other. The proposed methods are applied to insurance, environmental and sports data, where the respectively fitted Pareto distributions show a different tail behaviour. As a result, it is seen that although the number of observed record values in the presented real data applications is rather small, as it is usually the case, the selected prediction intervals are of practical use.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Sharing health data for research purposes: results of a population survey in Germany</title>
    <abstract language="eng">BACKGROUND: Increased use of health data has the potential to improve both health care and health policies. Several recent policy initiatives at the European and German legislative levels aim to increase the primary and secondary use of health data. However, little is known about general population views on health data access for research. Most studies are based on subsets defined by specific illnesses.&#13;
METHODS: We commissioned a national computer-assisted dual-frame telephone survey (landline and mobile). Logit estimation models were used to identify predictors of willingness to provide access to health data to different organizations (universities in Germany, universities worldwide, German government organizations, pharmaceutical companies).&#13;
RESULTS: A high willingness to share health data for research purposes is observed, depending on the specific data recipient. The willingness is highest for research at universities in Germany and German governmental organizations, and lowest regarding research by pharmaceutical companies. The main drivers for sharing health data are the level of trust in public institutions, the respondents' assessment of the seriousness and likelihood of data misuse, and the level of digital literacy. Age, gender, and level of education have small effects and do not determine the willingness to share health data for all organizations.&#13;
CONCLUSION: We present evidence from a random sample of the German population. The results indicate widespread support among the population for providing access to health data for research purposes. Similar to findings in other countries, the willingness depends strongly on the recipient of the data. This paper evaluates the impact of various determinants - identified in previous qualitative and quantitative research - on the willingness of the German population to share health data. While previous studies have found that patients are generally more willing to share health data, we found that the presence of a medical precondition does not translate into respondents' unequivocal support for health data sharing. We identify privacy concerns, general trust, and digital literacy as key factors influencing the willingness to share health data. Therefore, policymakers and stakeholders need to ensure and communicate the necessary privacy protection measures to increase the willingness of the German population to share health data.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Vertical Sound Localization: Precision and Robustness to Reverberation in a Large-Scale Study</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Vertical sound localization, the ability to perceive the elevation of a sound source, is a fundamental aspect of human auditory perception, yet it remains far less understood than horizontal localization. Existing studies rely on small sample sizes, limiting the generalizability of findings. The presented study bridges that gap by examining vertical sound localization and precision in a cohort exceeding 150 participants, making it the largest investigation of its kind to date.Participants were exposed to broadband noise stimuli from various elevations under controlled anechoic conditions. The elevation localization error was measured by comparing perceived sound source elevations to actual positions of speakers of a curved array. Azimuth angles of arrival were altered between 0°, 45° and 90°. For a small group the experiment was repeated in echoic conditions, to gain insight in reverberation and reflection robustness of vertical sound localization.This large-scale study establishes benchmarks for vertical sound localization precision and robustness, advancing our understanding of human auditory spatial perception. These findings have implications for audio technology development, such as spatial audio rendering and hearing aid design, and lay the groundwork for further exploration into the neural and anatomical underpinnings of vertical localization.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Simulation-Based Digital Twins for Internal Transport Systems</title>
    <abstract language="eng">The increasing complexity of internal transport systems in industrial applications poses significant challenges for operational decision-making. This paper presents a simulation-based Digital Twin framework developed within the research project TwinTraSys to support the control of such systems. The framework is specifically tailored to the constraints of real-world IT infrastructures, requiring minimal transaction data, while enabling predictive analysis and dynamic scenario evaluation. It consists of a modular architecture divided into four core components: data provision, data preparation, simulation, and decision support. A dedicated simulation framework enables the automated generation of structural models and the integration of real-world operational control systems. The proposed approach has been validated in industrial settings and has demonstrated its ability to support resource planning and transport resource allocation through simulation-based experimentation and multi-criteria evaluation. This paper contributes to the practical advancement of Digital Twin applications in intralogistics by bridging the gap between theoretical models and real-world constraints.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Experience Report: Hey LLM, Generate SQL!</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Large Language Models have advanced to a resourceful tool with many applications. One particularly interesting use case is the LLM-aided generation of ad-hoc database queries and the possibility of subsequent processing of the results in a way suiting the users intents. In this article, practical ways and experiences are described on how to effectively use LLMs to map a natural-language user query to an SQL query conforming to a specific database schema and post-processing the results of this query in order to, for example, create an appealing visualization. Best results are achieved under favorable circumstances, as, for example, a clean and meaningful named database schema.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Decoding concrete’s environmental performance: A detailed  analysis of global EPDs across the entire life cycle</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for concrete are essential tools to quantify the environmental impact of this versatile building material throughout its life cycle, supporting sustainable choices in construction. Concrete is made up of raw materials like cement, water, aggregates, additives, and admixtures, which can be mixed in diverse ways. This variability often necessitates site-specific EPDs, as emissions and environmental impacts depend greatly on cement type, transport routes, and specific production processes. This study analyses various data sources, focusing on EPDs according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804. The life cycle phases A1-A3, B1-B7, C1-C4 and D are considered and compared. The results demonstrate that factors such as scenario assumptions, methodological choices, and allocation procedures significantly influence concrete’s environmental impact. Transparent EPDs improve assessment reliability, while allocation methods, especially in phases D and end-of-life, significantly influence reported benefits, underscoring the importance of careful allocation for accurate impact evaluations. Improved standardisation, transparency, and alignment with EN 16757 would enhance EPD comparability and reliability. Overall, the study identifies key parameters such as recycling potential, production stage and allocation methods as substantial factors in the environmental performance of concrete.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Toward an Efficient and Robust Process–Structure Prediction Framework for Filigree L-PBF 316L Stainless Steel Structures</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Additive manufacturing (AM), particularly laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF), provides unmatched design flexibility for creating intricate steel structures with minimal post-processing. However, adopting L-PBF for high-performance applications is difficult due to the challenge of predicting microstructure evolution. This is because the process is sensitive to many parameters and has a complex thermal history. Thin-walled geometries present an added challenge because their dimensions often approach the scale of individual grains. Thus, microstructure becomes a critical factor in the overall integrity of the component. This study focuses on applying cellular automata (CA) modeling to establish robust and efficient process–structure relationships in L-PBF of 316L stainless steel. The CA framework simulates solidification-driven grain evolution and texture development across various processing conditions. Model predictions are evaluated against experimental electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) data, with additional quantitative comparisons based on texture and morphology metrics. The results demonstrate that CA simulations calibrated with relevant process parameters can effectively reproduce key microstructural features, including grain size distributions, aspect ratios, and texture components, observed in thin-walled L-PBF structures. This work highlights the strengths and limitations of CA-based modeling and supports its role in reliably designing and optimizing complex L-PBF components.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Performance assessment of a green hydrogen-based household energy system supported by a battery storage at different resolutions of the electrical load profile</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Hydrogen deems quite suitable for medium- and long-term energy storage of surplus renewable electricity. Nowadays, all-in-one solutions consisting of an electrolyzer, a compressor, pressurized hydrogen storage tanks, a fuel cell (FC) and the necessary peripheral components are available for single family houses. This work presents a comparative assessment of the system’s key performance indicators in a household system with three market available FCs with the nominal powers of 0.8, 1.4 and 7.8 kW. The design tool developed for the assessment of the hybrid energy system along with two energy management system configurations are introduced. An electrochemical and thermal model widely applied in the literature is used to model the FCs, which is validated against the available experimental data in the literature for all three FCs. The influence of the FCs’ nominal power, their power dynamic operation range, the use of a battery storage with different capacities and the load profile’s resolution have been technically assessed regarding the system’s self-sufficiency (SS), the FC’s efficiency, full-load operating hours, and number of on/off cycles. It turned out that, the system performance is strongly dependent on the nominal power of the FC and its power dynamic operation range. If no battery-storage is applied, the complete grid independence is not possible, and a high resolution of the load profile is indispensable in the assessment of the system design. A hybrid energy system comprising the 1.4 kW FC, a PV system of 10 kW peak power and a battery of 15 kW storage capacity showed a degree of SS of 98%. The number of the full-load operating hours and on/off cycles of that FC amount to 768 and 116 cycles, respectively. Such promising results are referred to the high dynamic operation range of the battery, and its high discharge power capacity, which makes it more suitable to cover a remarkably higher fraction of the load deficit, if compared to a system without a battery.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Topical collection: robotic solutions for digitally enabled production processes in construction</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Across the global construction sector, a new generation of robotic systems is rapidly entering the market. Solutions for on-site drilling, spraying, masonry, logistics, and finishing are now being piloted at an unprecedented pace. Their deployment in emerging construction robotics hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Denmark, Switzerland, and Germany demonstrates both the momentum of this technological shift and the considerable challenges that remain.&#13;
&#13;
In real-world testing environments, the integration of these robots into digital construction pipelines—particularly BIM-to-robot workflows, semantic task modeling, and robust digital twins—continues to be a bottleneck. These challenges position digitally enabled fabrication and robotics as a priority topic within academia, motivating research on methods, techniques, algorithms, and workflows that can accelerate adoption in construction.&#13;
&#13;
This Topical Collection brings together research spanning the emerging landscape of digitally enabled construction robotics. The contributions advance robotic fabrication, from flexible timber processes to innovative formwork, reinforcement, and earth-based additive methods, alongside computer vision, BIM integration, and sensing approaches that improve monitoring and quality assurance. The collection also includes mobile and aerial systems for inspection and mapping to support system autonomy in construction. Together, these works show how integrated perception, planning, and sociotechnical understanding of human–robot collaboration are becoming essential for reliable robotic performance in construction.&#13;

While current construction robots still focus on simple, structured tasks, the advances in this topical collection point toward a more capable generation. Contributions outline principles for robot-compatible buildings through new fabrication logics and BIM-linked task data, while work on perception, BIM integration, and data fusion reduces interoperability gaps. Research on sensing and adaptive processes supports more consistent workflows, and mobile and aerial robotics provide insights for deployment and site logistics. Collectively, these developments show how digitally enabled production processes can help to overcome key systemic barriers and enable future, scalable construction robotics.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">Measurement of the cubic nonlinear susceptibility in lithium niobate</title>
    <abstract language="eng">We measured the cubic nonlinear susceptibility tensor elements ( χ(3)) for polarization along the primary crystallographic axis in titanium-indiffused lithium niobate waveguides, assessed through self-phase modulation using picosecond-duration pulses at telecommunication wavelengths. A dominant, highly temperature- and wavelength-dependent contribution from a cascaded second-order nonlinearity is observed. Through careful extraction of the cascaded effect, we quantify the intrinsic third-order susceptibility tensor elements as χ(3) zzzz(ω; ω, ω, −ω) = (5.2 ± 1.3) × 10−21 m2 V2 and χ(3) xxxx(ω; ω, ω, −ω) = χ(3) yyyy(ω; ω, ω, −ω) = (3.6 ± 0.8) × 10−21 m2 V2 .&#13;
These measurements underscore the substantial impact of the cascaded nonlinearity in enhancing the effective cubic nonlinearity in lithium niobate and offer precise values essential for the design of nonlinear photonic devices.</abstract>

    <title language="eng">From Hope to Heuristic: Realistic Runtime Estimates for Quantum Optimisation in NHEP</title>
    <abstract language="eng">Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) computers, despite their limitations, present opportunities for near-term quantum advantages in Nuclear and High-Energy Physics (NHEP) when paired with specially designed quantum algorithms and processing units. This study focuses on core algorithms that solve optimization problems through the quadratic Ising or Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimisation model, specifically Quantum Annealing and the Quantum Approximate Optimisation Algorithm (QAOA).&#13;
&#13;
In particular, we estimate runtimes and scalability for the task of particle Track Reconstruction (TR), a key computing challenge in NHEP, and investigate how the classical parameter space in QAOA, along with techniques like a Fourieranalysis based heuristic, can facilitate future quantum advantages. The findings indicate that lower frequency components in the parameter space are crucial for effective annealing schedules, suggesting that heuristics can improve resource efficiency while achieving near-optimal results. Overall, the study highlights the potential of NISQ computers in NHEP and the significance of co-design approaches and heuristic techniques in overcoming challenges in quantum algorithms.</abstract>
