Evaluating the results of the treatment is often not routine practice. A core outcome set (COS) for physiotherapists is currently lacking. Objective To develop a consensus on important outcome domains that should be used by physiotherapists to measure the outcomes of patients with nonspecific neck pain. Method Initially a systematic research was carried out to identify outcome domains. Subsequently in a Delphi survey physiotherapists and patients rated the importance of outcome domains using a 9-point rating scale in round 1 and then re-rated outcomes in round 2 and 3 after reviewing other respondents' suggestions. For each outcome measure, central tendency and measures of dispersion were calculated. Results 62 physiotherapists and nine patients participated in the first round of the Delphi survey. Further Delphi rounds with the patients were stopped due to the low number of participants. Patients considered "range of motion of the cervical spine in different directions of movement" and "health-related quality of life" as important outcomes. 50 (81\%) and 37 (74\%) physiotherapists completed the second and third round of the Delphi survey. The outcome domains that met the inclusion criteria for the consensus were "problems with everyday activities due to the neck pain" and "ability to self-management/self-responsible handling with the neck pain". Conclusion A first consensus was reached on important outcome domains from the physiotherapist's point of view. For the development of a COS future research is required e.g. to confirm the outcome domains and to include the patient's point of view.}, language = {en} } @article{InwaldAlbringBaumetal., author = {Inwald, Elisabeth C. and Albring, Christian and Baum, Erika and Beckermann, Maria and Buehling, Kai J. and Emons, Guenter and Gudermann, Thomas and Hadji, Peyman}, title = {Perimenopause and Postmenopause - Diagnosis and Interventions. The guideline should serve as a basis for decisions taken during routine medical care. This short version lists the statements and recommendations given in the long version of the guideline together with the evidence levels, the level of recommendation, and the strength of consensus. Methods The statements and recommendations are largely based on methodologically high-quality publications. The literature was evaluated by experts and mandate holders using evidence-based medicine (EbM) criteria. The search for evidence was carried out by the Essen Research Institute for Medical Management (EsFoMed). To some extent, this guideline also draws on an evaluation of the evidence used in the NICE guideline on Menopause and the S3-guidelines of the AWMF and has adapted parts of these guidelines. Recommendations Recommendations are given for the following subjects: diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, urogynecology, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, dementia, depression, mood swings, hormone therapy and cancer risk, as well as primary ovarian insufficiency.}, language = {de} } @article{JustHeinrichMaurinetal., author = {Just, Tobias and Heinrich, Michael and Maurin, Mark Andreas and Schreck, Thomas}, title = {Foreclosure discounts for German housing markets}, series = {International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis}, volume = {13}, journal = {International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis}, number = {2}, publisher = {Emerald}, doi = {10.1108/IJHMA-12-2018-0106}, pages = {143 -- 163}, abstract = {Purpose This paper aims to investigate the foreclosure discount for the German residential market in the years from 2008 to 2011. Design/methodology/approach The determinants of the foreclosure discount are estimated in a hedonic price model. The analysis is based on a unique data set compiled from three different data sources with 135,000 foreclosed properties. Findings The findings reveal that residential units in foreclosures are sold at a discount of 19 per cent compared to residential units with similar characteristics that are not in foreclosure. Second, a regional pattern can be observed, with discounts being negatively correlated to unemployment risk and liquidity. Third, the model with interaction terms shows that foreclosure discounts are linked to specific property characteristics. Fourth, these object-related risks are typically smaller than regional risks or locational risks. Research limitations/implications Given the highly fragmented system of Gutachterausschusse in Germany, who are responsible for collecting transaction data, we were not able to directly analyze transaction data, but only a proxy for this price information. Practical implications The results can be important for financial institutions that are trying to assess the risk of lending for a specific object in a specific location. So far, banks primarily try to assess the default risk of private lenders by analyzing the debtor's financial position and the quality of the property. The analysis provides insights into which characteristics of a property might imply additional risk, and in which region these risks are biggest.
