This paper shows the application of active automata learning techniques for reverse engineering system state machines of automotive systems. The developed black-box testing strategy is based on diagnostic protocol communication. Through this approach, it is possible to automatically investigate a highly increased attack surface. Based on a new metric, introduced in this paper, we are able to rate the possible attack surface of an entire vehicle or a single Electronic Control Unit (ECU). A novel attack surface metric allows comparisons of different ECUs from different Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), even between different diagnostic protocols. Additionally, we demonstrate the analysis capabilities of our graph-based model to evaluate an ECUs possible attack surface over a lifetime.}, language = {en} } @article{HerrmannKirschnerKleinertetal., author = {Herrmann, Frank and Kirschner, Jan Michael and Kleinert, Thomas and Fritzsche, Harald}, title = {Big Data im Bereich der technischen Sauberkeit}, series = {Anwendungen und Konzepte der Wirtschaftsinformatik (AKWI)}, journal = {Anwendungen und Konzepte der Wirtschaftsinformatik (AKWI)}, number = {13}, publisher = {Hochschule}, address = {Luzern}, issn = {2296-4592}, doi = {10.26034/lu.akwi.2021.3296}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:bvb:898-opus4-30550}, pages = {34 -- 42}, abstract = {Dieses Projekt befasst sich mit Fragestellungen zur Anwendung von k{\"u}nstlicher Intelligenz im Bereich der Technischen Sauberkeit. Thus, there has been a recent boom in studying temporal graphs. Recognizing patterns in temporal graphs requires a proximity measure to compare different temporal graphs. To this end, we propose to study dynamic time warping on temporal graphs. We define the dynamic tem- poral graph warping (dtgw) distance to determine the dissimilarity of two temporal graphs. Our novel measure is flexible and can be applied in various application domains. We show that computing the dtgw-distance is a challenging (in general) NP-hard optimization problem and identify some polynomial-time solvable special cases. Moreover, we develop a quadratic programming formulation and an efficient heuristic. In experiments on real-world data, we show that the heuristic performs very well and that our dtgw-distance performs favorably in de-anonymizing networks compared to other approaches.}, language = {en} } @misc{Westner, author = {Westner, Markus}, title = {Rezension "Designed for Digital".}, series = {HMD Praxis Der Wirtschaftsinformatik}, journal = {HMD Praxis Der Wirtschaftsinformatik}, publisher = {Springer Nature}, doi = {10.1365/s40702-022-00877-6}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:bvb:898-opus4-38626}, language = {de} } @misc{OPUS4-3577, title = {Angewandte Forschung in der Wirtschaftsinformatik 2020 : Tagungsband zur 33. This research analyzes the influential factors of this managerial post-adoption decision on the IS-level. A survey of 168 business and Information Technology (IT) professionals investigated the influential factors of this PaaS post-adoption decision. The results show that decision-makers' perceptions of risks inhibit post-adoption. Vendor trust and trialability reduce these perceived risks. While competitive pressure increases perceived benefits, it does not significantly influence PaaS post-adoption. Controversially, security and privacy, cost savings, and top management support do not influence post-adoption, as opposed to findings on company-level adoption. Subsamples constructed by the form of post-adoptive use (migration of IS, enhancement of IS, new IS development) exhibit better goodness-of-fit measures than the full sample. Conventional methods result in reconstructions with significant artifacts. In order to remove these artifacts, regularization methods have to be applied that incorporate additional information. An important example is TV reconstruction which is well known to efficiently compensate for missing data and well reduces reconstruction artifacts. At the same time, however, tomographic data is also contaminated by noise, which poses an additional challenge. The use of a single regularizer within a variational regularization framework must therefore account for both the missing data and the noise. However, a single regularizer may not be ideal for both tasks. For example, the TV regularizer is a poor choice for noise reduction over different scales, in which case ℓ1 curvelet regularization methods work well. To address this issue, in this paper we introduce a novel variational regularization framework that combines the advantages of two different regularizers. The basic idea of our framework is to perform reconstruction in two stages, where the first stage mainly aims at accurate reconstruction in the presence of noise, and the second stage aims at artifact reduction. Both reconstruction stages are connected by a data proximity condition. The proposed method is implemented and tested for limited-view CT using a combined curvelet-TV approach. We define and implement a curvelet transform adapted to the limited view problem and demonstrate the advantages of our approach in a series of numerical experiments in this context.}, language = {en} } @article{HerrmannNangmoWankoZeller, author = {Herrmann, Frank and Nangmo Wanko, Merveille and Zeller, Bernhard}, title = {Digitale Transformation in Echtzeit: Die Ziele von morgen basierend auf dem Datenmodell von gestern}, series = {Anwendungen und Konzepte der Wirtschaftsinformatik}, volume = {16}, journal = {Anwendungen und Konzepte der Wirtschaftsinformatik}, publisher = {Technische Hochschule Wildau}, issn = {2296-4592}, doi = {10.26034/lu.akwi.2022.3453}, pages = {37 -- 47}, abstract = {Die Digitale Transformation fordert Unternehmen aller Couleur.
