Ball-on-ring tests yield a fracture strength that is essentially influenced by the surface topology/roughness. The surface topology of the coating is investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Tribology tests and nanoindentation represent the wear resistance and hardness; these are properties that are mainly influenced by the microstructural properties of the DLC coating. This microstructure is investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and analyzed by parallel electron energy loss spectroscopy (PEELS). For the general applicability of the coated composite, the interfacial adhesion of the DLC coating on the comparably rough substrate (roughness amplitudes and wavelengths are in the micrometer range) is important. Therefore, we focus on TEM investigations that show the interface to be free of gaps and pores that we, together with a characteristic microstructure adjacent to the interface, relate to the excellent adhesion. The interlayer consists of a high density of SiC grains, part of them directly bound to the substrate, and part of them bound to other SiC grains. This interlayer is followed by an essentially different region of the coating as concerns the microstructure; this region consists of nanocrystalline diamond particles embedded in an amorphous carbon matrix. It is this heterogeneous microstructure to which we attribute (i) the good adhesion based upon the interface stabilizing SiC grains, and (ii) the high hardness and wear resistance based upon the diamond nanocrystals in the coating.}, language = {en} } @incollection{HeeseThaler, author = {Heese, Carl and Thaler, Tilman}, title = {Das Krankenhaus als engagierter B{\"u}rger: Sponsoring im Rahmen der Corporate Citizenship}, series = {CSR im Gesundheitswesen: Dynamik im Spannungsfeld von individuellem und organisationalem Anspruch und deren Auswirkungen auf die Unternehmensstrategie}, booktitle = {CSR im Gesundheitswesen: Dynamik im Spannungsfeld von individuellem und organisationalem Anspruch und deren Auswirkungen auf die Unternehmensstrategie}, editor = {Keller, Katrin}, edition = {1. In standard layouts of such axle combinations, the steer motions of the wheels depend not only on the rotation of the steering wheel but also on the movements of the axles. As a consequence, the model complexity of the steering system should match with the complexity of the suspension model. The development of new technologies like advanced driver assistance systems or autonomous driving can only be accomplished efficiently using extensive simulation methods. Such kind of applications demand for computationally efficient vehicle models. This paper presents a steering system model for dual front axles of heavy duty trucks which supplements the suspension model of the axles. The model takes the torsional compliance of the steering column as well as the stiffness of the tie rods and the coupling rod into account. A quasi-static solution provides a straight forward computation including the partial derivatives required for an efficient implicit solver. The steering system model matches perfectly with comparatively lean, but sufficiently accurate multibody suspension models.}, language = {en} } @incollection{ZilchFinckh, author = {Zilch, Konrad and Finckh, Wolfgang}, title = {Erweiterung der Verbundmodelle auf eingeschlitzte CFK-Bewehrung}, series = {Befestigungstechnik, Bewehrungstechnik und …}, booktitle = {Befestigungstechnik, Bewehrungstechnik und …}, publisher = {ibidem}, address = {Stuttgart}, isbn = {978-3-8982-1208-3}, language = {de} } @article{HeeseFrey, author = {Heese, Carl and Frey, Claudia}, title = {Impulse zur Gestaltung der Tagespflege f{\"u}r Demenzkranke au der Sicht der Angeh{\"o}rigen: Die Eichst{\"a}tter Angeh{\"o}rigenstudie "Demenz"}, series = {Theorie und Praxis der Sozialen Arbeit}, volume = {62}, journal = {Theorie und Praxis der Sozialen Arbeit}, number = {2}, publisher = {Beltz Juventa}, issn = {0342-2275}, pages = {103 -- 110}, abstract = {Wie sollte Tagespflege aus Sicht der Angeh{\"o}rigen gestaltet sein, um ihren und den Bed{\"u}rfnissen der Demenzbetroffenen gerecht zu werden? While the resulting mode of interaction works well for task-based systems, it is insufficient for more conversational interaction styles, where content is delivered and grounded in units finer than full turns (Poesio and Traum 1997) and where turns are delivered concurrently by both interlocutors and hence overlap more frequently. One domain with particularly frequent overlapping contributions is interactive storytelling: a storyteller that is responsive to listeners will integrate their feedback immediately while still speaking a current contribution, and listener's remarks or propositions regarding the story will typically be uttered immediately when the related content is delivered. We present our work on a dialogue manager that leverages recent advances in incremental speech delivery and reception (Baumann 2013) to provide for an interactive and concurrent storytelling experience. Our system uses an interaction graph, which uses a word-by-word granularity and allows to specify for individual stretches of speech where (and with what content) users may interrupt/comment, how this is interpreted, and how it is integrated into the storytelling process, thus providing for in-utterance alternatives to be spoken even without audibly interrupting the system's ongoing utterance. The system's interaction graph is specified in an XML language and may be hand-crafted by a story designer but can also be automatically generated. In our current system, speech recognition results are interpreted only when the user utterance is finished; however, we plan to integrate incremental speech recognition and understanding capabilities, and to immediately react to the start of user contributions.}, language = {en} } @article{DenkSchuengelWeberetal., author = {Denk, Alexander and Sch{\"u}ngel, Verena and Weber, Stefka and Kaulen, Corinna}, title = {Heimexperiment und Online-Dokumentation : Praktische Ausbildung in den MINT-F{\"a}chern}, series = {Chemie in unserer Zeit}, journal = {Chemie in unserer Zeit}, publisher = {Wiley-VCH}, doi = {10.1002/ciuz.202100018}, abstract = {Die Anleitung zum selbst{\"a}ndigen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten ist ein fester Bestandteil in der naturwissenschaftlichen Ausbildung, der im letzten Jahr durch Distanz-Unterricht stark vernachl{\"a}ssigt wurde.
