It compares several journal quality assessments, the Australian ERA 2010, ABDC 2010 and UQ 2011 lists, with other international rankings and with highly regarded impact measurements. In a following section, the H-Index and the HC-Index for journals are introduced. The H-Indices are Google Scholar based impact measurements which can be easily executed by anyone. The results for the entrepreneurship journals H-Indices are compared with other impact factors and with journal rankings from Australia and elsewhere. Results reveal that rankings are incomplete in regard to entrepreneurship journals and that many rankings are inconsistent when compared to impact measurements. This holds true even for the ERA and the ABDC 2010 lists, even though these are among the most appropriate lists.}, language = {en} } @article{SassmannshausenVolkmann, author = {Saßmannshausen, Sean Patrick and Volkmann, Christine}, title = {A Bibliometric Based Review on Social Entrepreneurship and its Establishment as a Field of Research}, series = {Schumpeter Discussion Papers}, journal = {Schumpeter Discussion Papers}, publisher = {Schumpeter School of Business and Economics}, address = {Wuppertal}, abstract = {This paper provides an overview on the state of art of research on social entrepreneurship and the establishment of this topic in the academic world. It uses scientometric methods, especially bibliometrics, in measuring the maturity of social entrepreneurship research. The empirical part reveals the increasing number of literature, the institutionalization of social entrepreneurship in seven dimensions, the emergence of thematic clusters, and methodological issue. The paper makes concrete suggestions on how to overcome methodological challenges at the boarder of advanced qualitative and early quantitative research designs. Using Harzing's "Publish or Perish" software this article furthermore provides a ranking of the 20 most cited academic contributions in social entrepreneurship. We outline the main critique points of the discovery presented in these four alternatives, as well as their central concepts and conceptualization of the entrepreneurial function. On this basis we discuss three central themes that cut across the four alternatives: process, uncertainty, and agency. These themes provide new foci for entrepreneurship research and can help to generate new research questions and connect otherwise fragmented empirical findings. Insbesondere wird die Bedeutung von Schl{\"u}sselpersonen f{\"u}r die Erzeugung und Aufrechterhaltung netzwerkinterner Kooperation untersucht. Das Erhalten von Netzwerkkooperation stellt aufgrund der f{\"u}r GFN typischen heterogenen Struktur der Netzwerkmitglieder sowie wegen der „k{\"u}nstlichen", h{\"a}ufig politisch initiierten, Entstehung solcher Netzwerke eine besondere Herausforderung an die zentralen Akteure dar. F{\"u}r die Analyse der Rollen der Schl{\"u}sselakteure wird das Promotorenmodell aus der Innovationsforschung verwendet, das zwischen verschiedenen Promotorenfunktionen unterscheidet und die jeweiligen, f{\"u}r die Aus{\"u}bung dieser Funktionen genutzten, organisationalen Ressourcen analysiert. Die spezifischen Fragestellungen des Beitrags sind: 1.Welche Promotorenrollen und Promotorenstrukturen treten in EXIST-GFN auf, und welche Netzwerkressourcen werden hierbei genutzt? 2. Welche Bedeutung haben Promotorenfunktionen f{\"u}r das Erzeugen und Sichern von Netzwerkkooperation? Das qualitativ-explorative Untersuchungsdesign umfasst f{\"u}nf Fallstudien zu den GFN aus der ersten Phase der Initiative „EXIST — Existenzgr{\"u}ndungen aus Hochschulen" des Bundesministeriums f{\"u}r Bildung und Forschung. Jede Fallstudie beinhaltet drei teilstrukturierte Interviews mit Schl{\"u}sselpersonen des jeweiligen GFNs. Die Schl{\"u}sselpersonen wurden in drei „Meta-Interviews" mit den politischen Initiatoren des EXIST-Programms vorab identifiziert. Die Ergebnisse deuten auf eine Reihe wesentlicher Funktionen der Schl{\"u}sselpersonen im Hinblick auf Kooperation in den EXIST-Netzwerken hin, so zum Beispiel die Generierung und Aufrechterhaltung von Nutzenpotenzialen f{\"u}r eine dauerhafte Teilnahme der Netzwerkpartner sowie die Aus{\"u}bung von „diplomatischen" Funktionen zur Erhaltung der Interessenbalance zwischen den Netzwerkmitgliedern. In Bezug auf in den Netzwerken auftretende Promotorenrollen haben Beziehungs- und Prozesspromotorenrollen eine empirische Bedeutung im Rahmen der genannten Funktionen. Macht- und Fachpromotoren treten in den f{\"u}nf Netzwerken hingegen seltener auf. Die Ergebnisse lassen vermuten, dass die Hauptaufgabe der Schl{\"u}sselpersonen darin liegt, {\"u}ber die genannten Funktionen einen geeigneten Rahmen f{\"u}r die Kooperation der Netzwerkpartner im Prozess der Gr{\"u}ndungsunterst{\"u}tzung bereitzustellen und zu erhalten. Am Prozess der operativen Gr{\"u}ndungsunterst{\"u}tzung selbst und den damit verbundenen reziproken Austauschprozessen zwischen den Netzwerkpartnern sind die Schl{\"u}sselpersonen hingegen nur zu einem geringeren Ausmaß beteiligt.}, language = {de} } @inproceedings{SassmannshausenBlumbergHofmann, author = {Saßmannshausen, Sean Patrick and Blumberg, Boris F. and Hofmann, Monica}, title = {THE ETHICS OF EUROPEAN ENTREPRENEURS: 20 NATIONS CROSS-COMPARATIVE EMPIRICAL ANALYSES OF ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR OF ENTREPRENEURS, MANAGERS AND THE REMAINING POPULATION}, series = {AGSE International Entrepreneurship Research Exchang}, booktitle = {AGSE International Entrepreneurship Research Exchang}, pages = {585 -- 599}, abstract = {This paper has three main objectives. First, it attempts to develop testable, theoretical sounded hypotheses explaining ethics of entrepreneurs. Therefore it builds upon studies exploring potential drivers for ethical attitudes and behavior. Second, these hypotheses are tested with a large and representative cross national data set, i.e. data from the European Social Survey (ESS). Third, our study is two-level comparative: The sample includes entrepreneurs, managers of sme's and large incorporations, and a representative number of populations excluding the two groups mentioned before. By this, we can compare ethics in attitudes and behavior between those three groups of profession as well as we can test for differences in ethical attitudes and behavior across 20 European countries. Our results show that many theoretical hypotheses do not meet empirical proof and that entrepreneurs seem to be significantly less ethical than the other groups.}, language = {en} }
