This research aims to contribute to the field of sensory marketing for tourist destinations as perceived by tourists from Poland and from China who visited Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan, China. It explores and applies the theoretical background related to tourism marketing, sensory experiences, sensory marketing in a cross-cultural context. Furthermore, it especially focuses and gives insights regarding tourist sensory impressions and their impact on destination loyalty. The importance and role of sensory impressions in destination loyalty is emphasized by current research in the fields of tourism, marketing and culture, and supported by an interdisciplinary view of the role of sensory experiences in tourism and of senses in experiential aspects. The cultural management approach highlights the importance of minding the country of origin in marketing processes. A two-step exploratory study was conducted among the Polish and Chinese traveler groups who have visited Chengdu and their sensory experiences were measured. The findings suggest that sensory experiences significantly impact destination loyalty in both traveler groups, especially in gustatory and visual experiences. Moreover, the country of origin is significant in two sensory groups, visual and auditory, and their impact on loyalty is stronger among the Polish group.
This study investigates the relationship between selected internal and external
factors and German small- and medium-sized enterprises’ technology transfer
activities. The research features a comprehensive analysis on the relationship
between different modes of foreign operations and intensity of transferred
technology including a detailed review of channels, means and drivers of
technology transfer. The research model is based on a sample of 164 so called
‘Hidden Champions’ from Germany and identifies a positive relationship for
number of employees and firm age on the mode of operation. However, annual
revenues and Research & Development intensity of the German small- and
medium-sized enterprises have not been found to have a significant impact.
Firms with higher firm age, are assumed to have superior international
experience and are thus risk-taking with regard to entering foreign markets.
Additionally, other variables such as host-country networks, a firm’s degree of
product differentiation, political and business environment and host-country
location of FDI are investigated. The paper concludes with a discussion about
implications for decisionmakers on both sides.
Goodwill accounting is one of the most controversial topics in the accounting field. New ideas and treatments are constantly emerging, providing the latest theoretical frontier knowledge for goodwill accounting.
Since 2001, under the impetus of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), countries around the world have revised their own generally accepted accounting standards, or just adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The international convergence of accounting standards has made great progress. Chinese GAAP was implemented in 2006 and achieved substantial convergence with IFRS, but there is a certain gap. This is because China's goodwill accounting starts late and the market economy is still underdeveloped. At the same time, China's special national conditions have also created differences with IFRS.
This paper uses the literature review method, data analysis method and case analysis method to analyze the similarities and differences between Chinese GAAP and IFRS in terms of goodwill requirements. This paper starts with the definition, initial measurement, subsequent measurement, and disclosure of goodwill. The paper introduces the origin of goodwill, the development of Chinese GAAP and IFRS’s goodwill provisions, and the general trend of convergence. Then this paper shows a detailed description of the timeline for the evolution of goodwill accounting requirements, selects PetroChina Co Ltd (under Chinese GAAP) and British Petroleum p.l.c (under IFRS) as two research objects to do the case analysis, and analyzes the similarities and differences of the requirements of goodwill. I find that there are differences in the method of merge, the type of merge, the measurement of negative goodwill, impairment timing, impairment test unit, measurement method, reversal provisions and so on. Finally, this paper proposes future developments for goodwill requirements in Chinese GAAP. The article believes that the difference in goodwill measurement mainly comes from the national economic levels, the company's equity systems, and the accounting standards. The accounting standards include the development of background differences, institutional mechanisms, government intervention, and accounting information. Based on the above analysis, the final part of this paper is to present the inadequacies and suggestions of the goodwill requirements of Chinese GAAP.
There are three innovations in the author’s study. First, former research on goodwill rarely compares Chinese GAAP and IFRS. This paper details the similarities and differences, and points out the problems in Chinese GAAP. The existing literature has studied the differences in accounting standards, but has not penetrated the area of differences in the goodwill accounting. Secondly, the paper conducted a case study. Two oil companies with similar positions in the same industry are selected, and the data of comparative analysis were extracted from the Chinese and foreign databases and the annual reports of listed companies. Thirdly, when studying the different requirements of goodwill between Chinese GAAP and IFRS, this paper combines Chinese and foreign pieces of literature and multiple financial reports, and carries out the historical development of goodwill requirements, which is more conducive to understanding the development of goodwill criteria.
In recent years, due to the rapid development of electronics and information technology in China, TMT (Technology, Media and Telecom) industry develops rapidly. In the meanwhile, the cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) activity also becomes active in China’s capital market. In this context, the performance of TMT industry in the cross-border M&A market is even more remarkable. From the perspective of TMT industry, this paper studies the cross-border M&A performance of Chinese TMT enterprises. Because few academic researches focus on cross-border M&A performance of specific industries, especially the emerging industries, this paper has both theoretical and practical significance.
This paper follows the study framework of "Theory - Model - Empirical - Conclusion". First, this paper summarizes former scholars’ theoretical research and empirical results in the field of cross-border M&A, emphasizing in aspects such as cross-border M&A motivations, TMT cross-border M&A motivations, and TMT industry M&A performance. Then, this paper describes the status quo and development trend of China's TMT industry and its cross-border M&A market. Based on the characteristics of China's TMT industry, this paper analyzes the theoretical economic effects of cross-border M&A. In the empirical study, this paper selects 70 cross-border M&A events of public TMT enterprises from 2014 to 2015. Based on the principle of financial analysis, this paper adds 11 financial indicators to the factor analysis and builds the comprehensive performance score models for four periods (1 year before cross-border M&A to 2 years after cross-border M&A) respectively. After get trajectory of sample firms’ performance, the “Difference Method” is used to test the cross-border M&A performance in the TMT industry.
According to on the empirical results, this paper comes to the following conclusions: (1) During the “window period” [(T-1), (T+2)], the average comprehensive performance score of sample enterprises shows a “U” shape change trajectory. (2) During the period [T, (T+1)], the performance of sample enterprises continued to decrease, which shows a poor performance of cross-border M&A. (3) Two years after the cross-border M&A, the enterprise performance began to rebound, but did not reach the pre-M&A level.
Finally, based on the actual situation of TMT industry in China, this paper puts forward specific suggestions, so as to promote the development of cross-border M&A market of TMT industry in China and the substantial help of M&A activities for TMT enterprises.

This thesis focuses on the current SOE reform ambitions of the Xi administration which envisaged the creation of state-owned capital management systems to reform China´s SOE sector. While SOEs, as suggested in the recent reform catalogues issued by the CCP are supposed to be divided into commercially and non-commercially driven, this thesis intends to analyse whether the envisaged state-owned capital management systems can improve the performance of Chinese SOEs which are classified as commercial. If the implementation of capital management systems will be successful largely depends on the corporate environment of SOEs. Principal-agent and free-rider problems as well as soft-budget constraints, which most of the SOEs are subject to can hamper a successful implementation. Thus, in order to neither become a redundant institution nor amplifying existing institutional problems the question is: how should state-owned capital management systems be organized and operated in order to curb institutional problems to the greatest extent possible? To answer this question, the thesis examines if the Singaporean Temasek Holdings, often rewarded for its outstanding corporate governance practices, can serve as a role model for the creation of state-owned capital management systems in China. Therefore, the environment under which Temasek Holdings operate as well as its organizational structure and the government-linked companies (GLC) it manages will be examined, to point out the reasons for the exceptional sound corporate governance practices of Singapore´s state-owned sector. This thesis asserts that the Singaporean Temasek approach can serve as a potential role model for the creation of state-owned capital management system in China, but only when several institutional preconditions are fulfilled that create an environment that allows capital management systems to unfold their power and reduce institutional problems to the minimum level possible while the state remains the ultimate power. These preconditions only can be fulfilled if the Chinese government is willed to gradually withdraw from the management of SOEs and is ready to concede more autonomy to the directors and managers of SOEs by introducing more independent directors and create an institutional framework that promotes sound corporate governance practices.
The accelerated international spread of Chinese MNEs is a process which has gained a lot of attention lately through its recent internationalization strategies. The internationalization of Emergent Market (EM) MNEs is not a new phenomenon, however, trying to describe the internationalization process of Chinese MNEs in developed markets revealed new perspectives on how these firms internationalize while trying to secure key assets in those markets. Therefore, this paper aims to analyse the internationalization process of Chinese MNEs through the springboard perspective where Romania is chosen as the spring country. Based on the propositions developed based on the theoretical part, the findings section will reveal the results of the analysis and combined with the interviewees’ response will deliver new information regarding this topic. This paper aims to discuss the internationalization process of Chinese EM MNEs in Romania and to bring a new topic into discussion revealed by the research gap, namely to assess the viability of Romania being a springboard country for China’s strategy of internationalization from four main perspectives: competitiveness, asset-seeking, support from home government and unique challenges. On the other hand, the successful Sino-Hungarian relation led to massive Chinese investment in the country and to the internationalization of Chinese products. For this reason, Hungary has been chosen as a comparative country in order to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of Romania as a springboard country for Chinese EM MNEs. In addition, the discussion part will reveal the managerial implications and the challenges the internationalization process of Chinese EM MNEs in Romania will be linked with.
Increasing healthcare costs, low accessibility to medical care, low quality of medical services, over-prescribing drugs, asymmetric information disparities, and lack of trust between patient-doctor, are now affecting the health care system of China. To counter the critical situation, China has launched far-reaching reforms, with a focus on health care abroad, where experienced companies have long been committed to building a sustainable healthcare system, especially with international standards with, as has recently been the case in China. Reforms and regulations aimed at facilitating and enabling entry into the Chinese private hospital sector favor companies from different countries, especially Germany. Germany's activities in China look back on a long history, and thus the first German companies have already established themselves on the Chinese market. Nonetheless, German activities in the private hospital sector are still in their infancy due to their recent history of development in China. It therefore needs to be determined to what extent the already established German-Chinese cooperations that contribute to the development of the private hospital sector are marked by success and whether cooperation projects of this kind can be carried out. Although it is still in its infancy, the future of the Chinese private-sector sector is promising for foreign companies and, not least, will be faced with the task of long-term adaptation to Chinese regulations. Last but not least, it is not only the goodwill of German companies that determines whether long-term interest in China’s health care market share succeeds or not.
The study is attempting to survey whether the connectedness among leadership, employee voice, and the awareness of equity of employee can eventually be a complement of the achievements of office in German companies, and to scrutinize if the German experiences can be transplant to Taiwan. According to this rationale, the study endeavors to check whether the leadership affects to employee voice and whether the awareness of equity of employee moderates the effects of leadership on employee voice in German companies.
By using questionnaire survey with simple sampling, the results reveal that there are significant differences between sex and between occupations in the cognition of decision making of leadership; furthermore, there are significant differences between sex in orientation of change of employee voice behavior, and there also are significant differences between education in the cognition of considerable risk of employee voice behavior. Employee voice behavior is significantly affected by decision making, administrative method, interpersonal communication, and personal motivation of leadership, and the effects of leadership on employee voice behavior is significantly moderated by the distributive and interactional fairness of the awareness of equity.
Conclusively, by learning from German companies, the companies in Taiwan should build an environment full of trustworthiness, empowerment, and identification that make office members want to speak out, and managers in Taiwan companies can learn how to make employees recognize they are safe and free to make a speech relevant to leadership, business management and organizational development.

Green consumerism plays a crucial role in tackling environmental issues. This research aims to understand the different factors that determine the green purchase intention of China’s and Germany’s Generation Y by using an extended version of the Theory of Planned Behavior model. The empirical research builds on a questionnaire with a sample size of 330 Chinese and 275 German millennials. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicate that environmental concern, subjective norm, and perceived consumer effectiveness are significant predictors of green purchase intention for both millennial groups. Besides, the analysis highlights that subjective norm has the strongest influence on Chinese millennials’ green purchase intention, while environmental concern appears to be the top predictor for German millennials. In contrast, the perceived availability of green products fails to show a significant relationship with green purchase intention for either group. The variables perceived quality of green products for German millennials and trust in eco-labels for Chinese millennials also show no significant relationship with green purchase intention. These cross-group differences can be linked to cultural differences. Therefore, the results of this study contribute to a better understanding of the green purchase behavior of both millennial groups and provide useful insights for policymakers and marketers to improve their strategies.
Nowadays, China has seen irretrievable trend of aging society and the urbanization, which has exerted great impact on the traditional old-age security model: home care, in the rural area. With widening gap between urban and rural areas and the rural areas’ being increasingly empty nested, the old-age security for the large number of senior sandwich class in these areas, which needs to be covered while unable to be guaranteed, merits special attention. The governments cannot solve the problems once for all since they are experiencing the transformation from the management governments to service ones. However, the Welfare Pluralism Theory highlighting a plural welfare system involved with the governments, the markets, the families and the society, in which the governments shoulder the responsibility of coordination, integration and control, has helped to ease the situation in the western countries. Governments must stick to its role of meta-governance while increasingly delegate their power to lower levels during their transformation to the service ones. From the perspective of Welfare Pluralism Theory, we should clarify the government's responsibilities, build up social organizations, develop relevant markets, facilitate the development of families and individuals so as to form an effective social governance and a good social order, and therefore protect people's livelihood in a sustainable way. Zigong, with a typical shallow-hill topography, sees a middle level economic development in Sichuan Province, a relatively narrower gap of per capita dispensable income level between its rural areas and the national average, as well as a large group of senior sandwich class in rural areas. Therefore, it would be representative to study the old-age security for the senior sandwich class in rural areas. In this thesis, the author focuses on the research on the old-age security for the senior sandwich class in rural areas in Zigong, applying the Welfare Pluralism Theory to examine the status quo and existing problems from the aspects of the government, the market, the social organization, as well as the family and individual.
In this paper, I discover that the aging problem of Zigong is more serious, and the proportion of sandwich class senior residents in rural areas is relative higher when compared to other region in China. Despite local governments have released some relevant policies, imbalances between income and expenditure, serious empty nesting and monotonous spiritual life among the senior sandwich class in rural areas are still common. At the same time, problems such as lack of attention and policy support from the governments, difficulties in daily care, under-developed human infrastructure in rural areas, heavy economic burden caused by weddings and funerals are still haunting. By analyzing the major causes for these problems from the aspects of the government, the market, the social organization, the individual and family. I noted that these mainly attribute to some reasons. Under these circumstances, it would be a great reference for the government to provide the countermeasures and advices from the aspects of the government itself, the markets, the social organization, and the family and individual, when playing its role of meta-governance, to solve the problem of old-age security for the senior sandwich class in under-developed regions in China.
SHEconomy in Asia has highlighted the changes in women’s gender roles, lifestyles, and consumption patterns. The traditionally male-dominated fitness industry faces the challenge of this new female market opportunity, which consequently urges the current research to investigate the impact of gender role attitudes in the Asian female fitness industry. The study aims to empirically explore the relationships between gender role attitudes, self-perception, fitness perception, brand perception and purchase intention, and compare the results in China and Taiwan. With a quantitative methodology, a 35-item online questionnaire was completed by female respondents of an age between 25 to 34 in urban cities from China (N=314) and Taiwan (N=426). Results of structural equation modeling demonstrated that gender role attitudes have a positive impact on self-, and fitness perception in both China and Taiwan whereby the effect on brand perception only occurs in China. In general, gender role attitudes have stronger influences in China. Moreover, self-, fitness and brand perception positively affect purchase intention in both places; brand perception plays a major role, especially for Taiwan. Fitness perception also mediates the relationship between gender role attitudes and purchase intention in China and Taiwan. The research validated the impact of gender role attitudes, contributed to a better understanding of Asian female consumer behaviors for fitness brands, and finally identified the similarities yet revealed differences between China and Taiwan. Implications were drawn for the development of marketing practices and directions for further research were proposed.
With the massive power of globalization overwhelming the area of education, and
an increasing number of Chinese students choose to study abroad. As education is
usually related to career success in China, these students are burdening hope of the
whole family, striving to make progress in career. Career decision making plays a
decisive role in individuals’ life, so it is imperative to investigate Chinese
international students’ career through testing their confidence in career decision
making (i.e., Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy). However, new environment and
alienated culture make things different. Chinese international students have to figure
ways out to fulfill their dream with the assistance of acculturation strategies.
Technological development shortens people’s geographic distance. Social media,
newly emerged and currently prevalent technological products, are exerting great
impact on individuals’, especially international students’ daily life in many regards,
including acculturation and career development. Given the inter-disciplinary feature
of social media, acculturation, and Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE),
the present study is designed investigate associations between these constructs.
To study these connections, both qualitative and quantitative research methods
were adopted. 212 participants were recruited in snowballing and convenience
methods. After completing the 37-question questionnaire, 161 respondents showed
their validity for regression analysis.
The results show that: (1) Different social media use patterns lead to different
acculturation strategy adoption; (2) Different acculturation strategies exert different impacts on Chinese student sojourners’ Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy; (3)
Social media use facilitates Chinese student sojourners’ Career Decision Making
Self-Efficacy. Discussion is unfolded to explain these results. Accordingly, theoretical
and practical implications are presented.
This research has collected the story branding content published by Volkswagen on its YouTube and Tencent Video's official platform from 2018 to 2019. A total of 12 samples. Explore how successful multinational companies can build their brand identity and communicate with local consumers through storytelling. What changes did Volkswagen make for localization? What core values does it retain? A content analysis of video content is conducted, which combines narrative analysis and cognitive science. This study integrates the story elements proposed by Vincent, Foss, Fog, et al. and analyzes the narratives in settings, characters, objects, events, and messages. Supplemented with the cognitive science variables proposed by Simon (2016) for discussion. This study found that in the content on Tencent Video, Volkswagen used a China-specific connection between the country and people to deliver brand knowledge. The stories on YouTube are more concerned with the relationship between individuals and cars. However, the final message to be delivered is not much different. Volkswagen has packed the automotive products into the message of love and trust. They both put stress on people’s feelings toward cars but not the performance and value of the car itself.
Since the implementation of the Reform and Opening up policy more than 30 years ago, China's sustained economic development had caused great damage to the ecological environment, which has become a key obstacle in the course of social development in
China. Problems like long-term over-dependence on energy make it necessary for China to solve environmental pollution and ecological damage arising from excessive energy consumption. At the fifth plenary session of the 18th CPC central committee, the central government centered the government on the principle of innovative, green and sharing
development, and encouraged all sectors of society to devote more resources to green development. As an important means to alleviate environmental problems and maintain
sustainable development, green innovation is also related to the future planning of
enterprises and the construction of ecological civilization. In the existing research on innovation activities, the green innovation behavior of enterprises has gradually aroused people's attention. At present, some scholars have studied the impact of air pollution on the production of enterprises. And the impact of green innovation is mostly investigated from the macro level of countries and regions. However, there are only a very limited number of studies on innovation enterprises from the micro perspective. In this case, it is of great significance to explore the impact of air pollution on the output of green innovation from the perspective of enterprises.
In this study, 1,049 production-listed enterprises from 2000 to 2017 were selected as research samples. Firstly, the influence of different factors on green innovation was analyzed theoretically, and air pollution, an environmental factor, was further analyzed. Then, econometric model was established to empirically investigate green innovations of different values, with the proportion of pollution days in a year being taken as the measurement standard of air quality. The characteristics of the enterprise were analyzed
in groups. According to the result, enterprises were stimulated by air pollution and
carried out more green innovation, especially for high-value innovative green
innovation. State-owned enterprises were more active in green innovation than nonstate-
owned enterprises. Large enterprises and high-tech enterprises with better financing capacity were more inclined to carry out green innovation. Enterprises in
high-pollution areas carried out more green innovation when air pollution worsened.
To sum up, in the process of green innovation, the government should provide enterprises with sound policy guidance and financial support services, promote the exchange and cooperation between state-owned enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises, provide adequate policy preferences and financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out green technology innovation, and encourage enterprises to conduct green production. All regions should increase cooperation in
green production, achieve balanced development, and step up pollution control. Enterprises should give full play to their innovation ability, invest more resources in
green technology research and development, process innovation, and establish a sustainable development mechanism on the basis of improving their green innovation
ability. In addition, enterprises should also make the best use of capital accumulation
and capital allocation, so as to reduce the impact of external financing constraints while improving their profitability and market competitiveness. Thus, through green
innovation enterprises can come true and continue developing under the constraints of resources.
The subjective well-being (SWB) of people increasingly concerns policymakers
and economists alike. But what matters, after basic income concerns are satisfied,
has sparked debates. Social comparison theory (SCT) offers an intuitive answer,
which explains happiness as an outcome of comparisons to the social environment
and past experiences. Examining this theory as a potential determinant of wellbeing,
we discover that the advent of the Internet has led to a dramatic shift in
parameters, potentially magnifying the impact of social comparisons.
For a number of reasons, China and Germany serve as an ideal testing ground for
the hypothesised relations: Both share a surprisingly similar SWB trajectory, but,
whereas China has recently experienced a rapid expansion of Internet access,
Germany already saw widespread adoption of this technology for over a decade.
Therefore, looking at survey data from the China General Social Survey from 2011
to 2015, promised to yield conclusive answers about this triangular relation.
Findings suggest that, first, social comparison concerns predict subjective wellbeing
better than any objective measures. Second, only in China was spending
more time online associated with an improved life satisfaction and better social
comparison outcomes. Here, having access was more important than the
frequency of use. This could imply that individuals initially gain immensely from
the introduction of the Internet, in terms of social comparison outcomes, but that
those effects wear off over time.
With the development of economy and technology, China with the
increasing number of elderly people has become one of the countries with
a relatively high degree of aging population in the world. The demand for
health care has increased, because of the increasing prevalence of chronic
diseases of elderly. At the same time, the rising of China's per capital
disposable income, the increasing of the demand for national health
management, and ascending of the total expenditure on medical and health
care of Chinese residents have led to an increase in consumer demand in
China's medical industry. China has listed the medical industry as the
strategic emerging industry with vigorous support, introducing a series of
policies to encourage the rapid development of the medical industry. The
number and the scale of medical companies in China is increasing and
expanding. However, due to the lately start, the lack of core technology and
innovative capabilities, China's medical companies are concentrating in the
low-end market and facing fierce competition. Many companies have
encountered bottlenecks and many of them are trying to seek development
opportunities through M&A.
In recent years, the frequent M&A in China's domestic medical market
results in the decreasing in the number of domestic high-quality tenders and
the increasing in valuation prices. Many medical companies have begun to
turn to international markets for cross-border M&A. While expanding
overseas markets and increasing global market share, companies can also
quickly acquire relevant technologies, accelerate research and
development, and enrich product types and industrial chains. Due to the
weakly overall strength of China's medical companies, and the shortly
history of cross-border M&A, China’s company’s experience in
internationalization is insufficient. And the risks faced by China’s medical
companies in cross-border M&A it relatively high. Therefore, in the whole process of medical companies' cross-border M&A activities, it is crucial to
identify risk points in a timely manner and taking effective risk aversion
measures accordingly.
This paper selects the case of cross-border M&A in China’s medical
industry--Bluesail Medical's acquisition of Biosensors to study the
motivation of cross-border M&A of China’s medical companies and the risks
and related risk response measures at various stages of cross-border M&A.
First of all, this paper reviews scholars' research on M&A-related issues
from the aspects of M&A motivations, causes of M&A risk, and medical
industry M&A. Subsequently, this paper makes an analysis of the causes
and risks of cross-border M&A in China's medical industry. Then, this paper
takes Bluesail Medical’s acquisition of Biosensors as the case study, and
analyzes several motives of the M&A of Bluesail Medical. In addition, the
risk of this cross-border M&A of Bluesail Medical was identified and its
countermeasures were analyzed and evaluated from three stages: pre-M&A,
M&A process and post-M&A. In this study, it is found that Bluesail Medical’s
M&A has the following risks: decision-making risk, valuation risk, payment
risk, financing risk, financial integration risk and human resource Integration
risk. In the last part, this paper summarizes the case analysis and puts
forward suggestions on the risk response of cross-border M&A of China’s
medical companies, hoping to provide references for the risk identification
and response of related M&A of China’s medical companies in the future.
As the world's two famous shopping platforms, Alibaba and Amazon
occupy the largest share of the Chinese market and the North American
market respectively. The two major e-commerce platforms have developed
rapidly this year, the Internet penetration rate has been increasing, and
international expansion has continued. Under the background of the weak
economy, the anti-globalization wave and the Sino-US trade war, will the
two largest e-commerce platforms in China and the US be affected? At the
same time, Alibaba and Amazon are expanding their territory with different
strategies and business models to diversify their incomes across the globe.
In order to explore who will win in the future electronic market, this paper
will use the SCP model to analyze the market structure of the e-commerce
industry, and analyze the different strategies and behaviors of the
enterprise from the perspectives of logistics, cloud computing, overseas
mergers and acquisitions, and new retail. In the end, compare the
performance of the company under the behavior. The study found that both
the Chinese and American e-commerce markets are oligopolistic, B2C
products are highly differentiated, and C2C products are not highly
differentiated. Capital barriers are high, political barriers are not high, and
exit barriers are low. Based on the above market structure characteristics,
Alibaba and Amazon have adopted different strategies to deal with them.
From the business model, Alibaba's platform model is more flexible, and
Amazon's self-built warehouses bring greater pressure on heavy assets
and have a greater impact on the industry. Judging from the competitive
strategy, Amazon and Alibaba are all in the overall layout of the logistics
sector and new retail strategy, and actively expand overseas. The Indian,
Southeast Asian and Australian markets have become the latest targets of
the two home appliance business platforms, and a new round of market
competition is about to begin. Who will occupy a larger share of the market, although Alibaba's current revenue and profits are not as good as Amazon,
but in terms of strategic layout and innovation ability is not inferior.
