The new profile UMLsec4UML2 is technically constructed as a UML profile diagram, which is equipped with a number of integrity conditions expressed using OCL. Consequently, the UMLsec4UML2-profile can be loaded in any Eclipse-based EMF- and MDT-compatible UML editing tool to develop and analyze different kinds of security models. The OCL constraints replace the static checks of the tool support for the old UMLsec defined for UML 1.5. Thus, the UMLsec4UML2-profile not only provides the whole expresiveness of UML2.3 for security modeling, it also brings considerably more freedom in selecting a basic UML editing tool, and it integrates modeling and analyzing security models. Since UML2.3 comprises new diagram types, as well as new model elements and new semantics of diagram types already contained in UML1.5, we consider a number of these changes in detail. More specifically, we consider composite structure and sequence diagrams with respect to modeling security properties according to the original version of UMLsec. Listening to music before, during, or after sports is a common phenomenon, yet its functions and effects on performance, cognition, and behavior remain to be investigated. In this study we present a novel approach to the role of music in sports and exercise that focuses on the notion of musical self-enhancement (Elvers, 2016). We derived the following hypotheses from this framework: listening to motivational music will (i) enhance self-evaluative cognition, (ii) improve performance in a ball game, and (iii) evoke greater risk-taking behavior. To evaluate the hypotheses, we conducted a between-groups experiment (N = 150) testing the effectiveness of both an experimenter playlist and a participant-selected playlist in comparison to a no-music control condition. All participants performed a ball-throwing task developed by Decharms and Dav{\´e} (1965), consisting of two parts: First, participants threw the ball from fixed distances into a funnel basket. During this task, performance was measured. In the second part, the participants themselves chose distances from the basket, which allowed their risk-taking behavior to be assessed. The results indicate that listening to motivational music led to greater risk taking but did not improve ball-throwing performance. This effect was more pronounced in male participants and among those who listened to their own playlists. Furthermore, self-selected music enhanced state self-esteem in participants who were performing well but not in those who were performing poorly. We also discuss further implications for the notion of musical self-enhancement. // Listening to music before, during, or after sports is a common phenomenon, yet its functions and effects on performance, cognition, and behavior remain to be investigated. Until now, little has been written about the processes underlying the selection of music in daily life. The present study aimed to disentangle some of the complex processes among the listener, situation, and functions of music listening involved in music selection. Utilizing the experience sampling method, data were collected from 119 participants using a smartphone application. For 10 consecutive days, participants received 14 prompts using stratified-random sampling throughout the day and reported on their music-listening behavior. Statistical learning procedures on multilevel regression models and multilevel structural equation modeling were used to determine the most important predictors and analyze mediation processes between person, situation, functions of listening, and music selection. Results revealed that the features of music selected in daily life were predominantly determined by situational characteristics, whereas consistent individual differences were of minor importance. Functions of music listening were found to act as a mediator between characteristics of the situation and music-selection behavior. We further observed several significant random effects, which indicated that individuals differed in how situational variables affected their music selection behavior. Recently, it became evident that this extension consists of two distinct substructures, designated lamellipodium and lamellum, which differ significantly in their kinetic and kinematic properties as well as their biochemical composition. We developed a stochastic two-dimensional computer simulation that includes chemical reaction kinetics, G-actin diffusion, and filament transport to investigate the formation of growing actin networks in migrating cells. Model parameters were chosen based on experimental data or theoretical considerations. In this work, we demonstrate the system's ability to form two distinct networks by self-organization. We found a characteristic transition in mean filament length as well as a distinct maximum in depolymerization flux, both within the first 1-2 microm. The separation into two distinct substructures was found to be extremely robust with respect to initial conditions and variation of model parameters. We quantitatively investigated the complex interplay between ADF/cofilin and tropomyosin and propose a plausible mechanism that leads to spatial separation of, respectively, ADF/cofilin- or tropomyosin-dominated compartments. Tropomyosin was found to play an important role in stabilizing the lamellar actin network. Furthermore, the influence of filament severing and annealing on the network properties is explored, and simulation data are compared to existing experimental data.}, language = {en} } @article{HuberKaes2011, author = {Huber, Florian and K{\"a}s, Josef}, title = {Self-regulative organization of the cytoskeleton}, series = {Cytoskeleton}, volume = {68}, journal = {Cytoskeleton}, number = {5}, publisher = {Wiley}, issn = {1949-3592}, doi = {10.1002/cm.20509}, pages = {259 -- 265}, year = {2011}, abstract = {Despite its impressive complexity the cytoskeleton succeeds to persistently organize itself and thus the cells' interior. In contrast to classical man-made machines, much of the cellular organization originates from inherent self-assembly and self-organization allowing a high degree of autonomy for various functional units. Recent experimental and theoretical studies revealed numerous examples of cytoskeleton components that arrange and organize in a self-regulative way. In the present review we want to shortly summarize some of the principle mechanisms that are able to inherently trigger and regulate the cytoskeleton organization. Although taken individually most of these regulative principles are rather simple with intuitively predictable consequences, combinations of two or more of these mechanisms can quickly give rise to very complex, unexpected behavior and might even be able to explain the formation of different functional units out of a common pool of available building blocks.}, language = {en} } @misc{JaroschHerderLangmann2022, author = {Jarosch, Monika and Herder, Jens and Langmann, Mathias}, title = {Entwicklung einer AR-Applikation zur kosteneffektiven volumetrischen Erfassung von Baugruben}, series = {gis.Science}, volume = {2022}, journal = {gis.Science}, number = {2}, issn = {2698-4571}, pages = {75 -- 83}, year = {2022}, abstract = {Die volumetrische Erfassung von Aush{\"u}ben auf Baustellen ist ein kostenrelevanter Faktor und wird auch heute im t{\"a}glichen Baustellenbetrieb oft noch in manueller Detailarbeit durchgef{\"u}hrt. Therefore, we conducted a study based on the Experience Sampling Method to measure the relative contribution of a broad range of potentially relevant acoustic and non-auditory variables in predicting indoor soundscape evaluations. Here we present the comprehensive dataset for which 105 participants reported temporally (rather) stable trait variables such as noise sensitivity, trait affect, and quality of life. They rated 6.594 situations regarding the soundscape standard dimensions, perceived loudness, and the saliency of its sound components and evaluated situational variables such as state affect, perceived control, activity, and location. To complement these subject-centered data, we additionally crowdsourced object-centered data by having participants make binaural measurements of each indoor soundscape at their homes using a low-(self-)noise recorder. These recordings were used to compute (psycho-)acoustical indices such as the energetically averaged loudness level, the A-weighted energetically averaged equivalent continuous sound pressure level, and the A-weighted five-percent exceedance level. This complex hierarchical data can be used to investigate time-varying non-auditory influences on sound perception and to develop soundscape indicators based on the binaural recordings to predict soundscape evaluations.}, subject = {soundscape}, language = {en} } @article{KernebeckHollePogschebaetal.2019, author = {Kernebeck, Sven and Holle, Daniela and Pogscheba, Patrick and Jordan, Felix and Mertl, Fabian and Huldtgren, Alina and Bader, Sebastian and Kirste, Thomas and Teipel, Stefan and Holle, Bernhard and Halek, Margareta}, title = {A Tablet App- and Sensor-Based Assistive Technology Intervention for Informal Caregivers to Manage the Challenging Behavior of People With Dementia (the insideDEM Study): Protocol for a Feasibility Study}, series = {JMIR research protocols}, volume = {8}, journal = {JMIR research protocols}, number = {2}, publisher = {JMIR}, doi = {10.2196/11630}, year = {2019}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{MertlDewitzBraasetal.2015, author = {Mertl, Fabian and Dewitz, Bastian and Braas, Uli and Glomb, Arthur and Huldtgren, Alina and Vormann, Anja and Geiger, Christian}, title = {Erinnerungsfenster f{\"u}r Demenzkranke}, series = {Mensch und Computer 2015 - Tagungsband}, booktitle = {Mensch und Computer 2015 - Tagungsband}, editor = {Pielot, Martin and Diefenbach, Sarah and Henze, Niels}, publisher = {De Gruyter}, address = {Berlin, M{\"u}nchen, Boston}, isbn = {9783110443929}, doi = {10.1515/9783110443929-037}, pages = {295 -- 302}, year = {2015}, language = {de} } @inproceedings{DielmannHuldtgren2015, author = {Dielmann, Steffen and Huldtgren, Alina}, title = {Eine haptische Lichtsteuerung f{\"u}r Senioren in Smart Environments}, series = {Mensch und Computer 2015 - Tagungsband}, booktitle = {Mensch und Computer 2015 - Tagungsband}, editor = {Pielot, Martin and Diefenbach, Sarah and Henze, Niels}, publisher = {De Gruyter}, address = {Berlin, M{\"u}nchen, Boston}, isbn = {9783110443929}, doi = {10.1515/9783110443929-035}, pages = {287 -- 290}, year = {2015}, language = {en} } @article{JacobsHuldtgren2021, author = {Jacobs, Naomi and Huldtgren, Alina}, title = {Why value sensitive design needs ethical commitments}, series = {Ethics and Information Technology}, volume = {23}, journal = {Ethics and Information Technology}, number = {1}, publisher = {Springer Nature}, issn = {1572-8439}, doi = {10.1007/s10676-018-9467-3}, pages = {23 -- 26}, year = {2021}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{HuldtgrenKlapperichEndter2022, author = {Huldtgren, Alina and Klapperich, Holger and Endter, Cordula}, title = {Next Steps for User Integration in ICT for Aging Well}, series = {Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health April 23-25, 2022}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health April 23-25, 2022}, editor = {Ziefle, Martina and Mulvenna, Maurice and Maciaszek, Leszek}, publisher = {SciTePress}, isbn = {978-989-758-566-1}, issn = {2184-4984}, doi = {10.5220/0011072700003188}, pages = {291 -- 298}, year = {2022}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{WohlmacherMertlKlapperichetal.2022, author = {Wohlmacher, Bernhard and Mertl, Fabian and Klapperich, Holger and Huldtgren, Alina}, title = {Hybrid Ludo: Combination of a Tangible UI for Seniors and a Web-based Ludo Game}, series = {Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health, April 23-25, 2022}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health, April 23-25, 2022}, editor = {Ziefle, Martina and Mulvenna, Maurice and Maciaszek, Leszek}, publisher = {SciTePress}, isbn = {978-989-758-566-1}, issn = {2184-4984}, doi = {10.5220/0011069500003188}, pages = {283 -- 290}, year = {2022}, language = {en} } @article{Rakow2012, author = {Rakow, Thomas C.}, title = {Touchscreen ersetzt Whiteboard}, series = {FHD Journal}, volume = {33}, journal = {FHD Journal}, number = {2}, pages = {51}, year = {2012}, language = {de} }
