TY - CHAP A1 - Kopp, Johannes ED - Stolle, Reinhard T1 - Novel Injector Technology with Advanced Modular Conceptual Design to Achieve Superior Material Feed in Jet Milling Systems T2 - Applied Research Conference 2025 N2 - This paper explores a new principle for counter jet milling, whereby material is fed precisely guided into the free jet of Laval nozzles. By developing this concept, elaborating a modular prototype, and using rapid prototyping, calcium carbonate's feeding and milling behaviour in a multiphase flow was analysed under real conditions. Through experimental studies, the advantages of the next-generation system compared to classical feeding utilising a dosing screw were proven to be considerably more efficient. In addition, it was possible to determine actual firing zones using delamination tests performed on the MultiNo¨ 1050 counter jet mill manufactured by Aufbereitungstechnologie Noll GmbH, Bobingen, which represents a key basis for future optimisations and studies relating to large-scale industrial grinding processes.
