The results obtained from this are to serve as simulation validation for subsequent work to be able to simulate the dynamic behavior of the component with regards to fatigue strength. To evaluate the data, a MATLAB script is developed that uses the Fourier transform to visualize the natural frequencies of the component by means of a representation in the frequency domain and can calculate the transfer function of the measured component by dividing the determined power spectra. A numerical simulation of a two-mass oscillator is used to prove the qualitative accuracy of the MATLAB script. for composites has continued to rise, intensifying international competition in the production of lightweight materials. A key challenge lies in recycling short glass fibers and processing them into high-performance semi-finished products. This study investigates the roller carding process and analyzes motor current data to understand fiber transfer mechanisms. The results reveal that increased production rates lead to a drive effect, where the main drum pushes subsequent rollers forward, decreasing their current consumption. Additionally, fiber composition further influenced this drive effect and simultaneously emerged as the dominant factor in determining maximum tensile strength. Variations in roller linear speeds showed no significant improvement in tensile strength across any fiber type, including recycled fiber. Moreover, filtered motor current data provided insights into fiber transfer behavior, enabling differentiation between fiber compositions and production rate levels.
