P.-S. Chen with the introduction of Entity Relationship models and evolved further in various branches until the beginning of the 21st century. The basic approach is to create a conceptual data model that is system independent depicting the so-called "Universe of Discourse", then deriving a logical data model from it and finally deriving a physical data model from the logical one. Meanwhile, the NoSQL approaches have emerged and lately the concept of "Polyglot Persistence" came up propagating the usage of several database systems faodeling language AGILA MOD as an example. It also shows a prototype of a data access layer that is capable of handling polyglot persistent data.}, language = {mul} }
