Every retail store generates multi-dimensional data on a daily basis. The generated amount of data may be overwhelming, but this can always bring insightful meaning to any retailer. In this quest for finding meaningful insights into a retail store, customer purchase behavior, buying patterns, etc, a small step has been taken with the concept of algorithms in retailing. Many software-based programming concepts can be utilized to see and understand customer buying patterns. However, in this case, the main focus is on customers' buying behavior with R programming and the Apriori Algorithm to dig into meaningful buying patterns. This also brings the market basket analysis into action based on data that may help retailers to build effective store layout for faster purchase decisions. Furthermore, how this buying pattern may aid retailers to create strategies to fight the coronavirus pandemic while serving customers with great efficiency.
