Im Projekt CISS wurde ein Verfahren f{\"u}r die Frontalcrash-Erkennung erforscht und zur Serienreife gebracht, das auf der Erfassung hochfrequenter Schwingungssignale basiert. Im Forschungsprojekt CISS.S sollten diese Erkenntnisse aus der Frontalcrash-Erkennung nun auf den Seitencrash {\"u}bertragen werden, da dieser aufgrund der geringen Knautschzone verglichen mit anderen Lastfallgruppen besonders gef{\"a}hrlich ist. Ziel von CISS.S war deshalb die fr{\"u}hzeitige Erkennung des Seitencrashs zur verbesserten Airbag-Ausl{\"o}sung mittels K{\"o}rperschallmessung w{\"a}hrend eines Unfalls. Ein weiteres Projektziel war zudem die Weiterentwicklung eines Simulationsverfahrens f{\"u}r die Ausbreitung von K{\"o}rperschall im Fahrzeug.
