One of the driving forces is the growing significance of data as an asset, as 'oil of the 21st century'. Trade secrets are often seen as the major Intellectual Property (IP) tool for protecting data. There is also the understanding that the need to share data is increasing to allow for new types of innovation. This paper seeks to understand how data sharing practices and the use of trade secrets are evolving in the agricultural industries. Using explorative empirical data from four in-depth case studies, the paper develops a framework for data sharing practices, value sharing, and trade secrets use. We find that current data sharing practices pool around two scenarios, where data is not shared or shared only with limited partners (hence closed) and there are differences whether value created from the data is shared. We conclude that a nuanced view on the use of trade secrets in data sharing is mandated for both IP/data managers and scholars analysing the topic.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{ChandraSekaranBalasubramanianBotschetal.2023, author = {Chandra Sekaran, Karthikeyan and Balasubramanian, Lakshman and Botsch, Michael and Utschick, Wolfgang}, title = {Metric Learning Based Class Specific Experts for Open-Set Recognition of Traffic Participants in Urban Areas Using Infrastructure Sensors}, booktitle = {IEEE IV 2023 Symposium Proceedings}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {979-8-3503-4691-6}, issn = {2642-7214}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/IV55152.2023.10186527}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{NeumeierTollkuehnDornetal.2023, author = {Neumeier, Marion and Tollk{\"u}hn, Andreas and Dorn, Sebastian and Botsch, Michael and Utschick, Wolfgang}, title = {Optimization and Interpretability of Graph Attention Networks for Small Sparse Graph Structures in Automotive Applications}, booktitle = {IEEE IV 2023 Symposium Proceedings}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {979-8-3503-4691-6}, issn = {2642-7214}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/IV55152.2023.10186536}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{LedererBetzSchmidtetal.2022, author = {Lederer, Matthias and Betz, Stefanie and Schmidt, Werner and Elstermann, Matthes}, title = {Are BPM Practitioners and Researchers Friends? A promising, new and highly efficient cascaded multilevel inverter is the Parallel Enhanced Commutation Integrated Nested Multilevel Inverter. The inverter, with four semiconductor switches per submodule, can reconfigure individual battery cells in series and parallel and generate positive and negative phase voltages in regular four-quadrant operation. Therefore, emerging degrees of freedom in battery management and inverter operation must be managed and mapped into a specific Switching State for every switch. As controlling the high number of switches is safety-relevant, this publication profoundly explains the inverter's functionality. We introduce a Switching Function that accepts easy-to-understand functional states as input, simplifying research on higher-level control algorithms and advanced single-cell battery-management capabilities. As the Switching Function guarantees safe operation and the correct contribution of every cell to the overall functionality of the inverter, it enables researchers to confidently use and thereby accelerate research on the promising new topology. The method we describe is fast, simple, deterministic and designed to convert setpoint specifications into an executable Switching Pattern. The Vision Cameras (Monocular camera) and Radars has different working principles, and both sensors have their own key advantages. The camera has less processing power and high frequency rate compared to Radar, but the Radar has its advantages in different weather conditions compared to Camera. Vison Camera sensor is well suited for classification of Objects and can process 2D images. Both these sensors play key role in Autonomous vehicle perception. Autonomous vehicle testing on road is expensive, need more human effort, time consuming and some scenarios are difficult to test. Testing of performance of sensors and algorithms can be done virtually using simulators. Real time maps are imported into MATLAB and scenarios are created above those maps and performance are tested. Virtual Simulations can be repeated several times, which is cost effective and less time consuming compared to on-road testing. During its lifetime, the collector is likely to lose argon because of gradual material degradation of the sealing. However, information on the influence of the argon concentration on the collector efficiency is limited. Therefore, the objective of this research work was to analyse this effect. A theoretical material property calculation of argon-air mixtures was carried out to determine the convective losses with variable argon concentrations. Thermal collector performance was measured experimentally using an outdoor solar tracker test rig. The results strongly suggest, that the influence of argon concentration on both the convective losses and the thermal efficiency is non-linear. The measurements revealed that an argon concentration of 90 \% can increase average thermal performance by 6.7 ± 4.8 percentage points. An increase in argon concentration from 0 \% to 50 \% has almost twice the effect on average thermal efficiency as an increase from 50 \% to 90 \%. Concluding from these results, an argon leakage threshold of 2.5 percentage points per year is proposed to avoid disproportionate loss of efficiency over time.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{ChenDeisherGeorges2023, author = {Chen, Liu and Deisher, Michael and Georges, Munir}, title = {An End-to-End Neural Network for Image-to-Audio Transformation}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-6327-7}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ICASSP49357.2023.10096121}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @article{AxmannHarmokoMalhotra2023, author = {Axmann, Bernhard and Harmoko, Harmoko and Malhotra, Rahul}, title = {The Assessment of Robotic Process Automation Projects with a Portfolio Analysis: First Step - Evaluation Criteria Identification and Introduction of the Portfolio Concept}, volume = {17}, journal = {Tehnički glasnik}, number = {2}, publisher = {University North}, address = {Koprivnica}, issn = {1848-5588}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.31803/tg-20230416193006}, pages = {207 -- 214}, year = {2023}, abstract = {RPA's (Robotic Process Automation) usage in organizations has rapidly increased in recent years; as a result, companies have developed high expectations from this technology.
