We use a diffusion weighted inversion recovery spin echo (DW-IR-SE) sequence with spiral readouts at ultra-strong gradients to acquire a rich diffusion-relaxation data set with sensitivity to myelin water. We reconstruct 1D and 2D spectra with a two-step convex optimization approach and investigate a variety of multidimensional MRI methods, including 1D multi-component relaxometry, 1D multi-component diffusometry, 2D relaxation correlation imaging, and 2D diffusion-relaxation correlation spectroscopic imaging (DR-CSI), in terms of their potential to quantify tissue microstructure, including the myelin water fraction (MWF). We observe a distinct spectral peak that we attribute to myelin water in multi-component T1 relaxometry, T1-T2 correlation, T1-D correlation, and T2-D correlation imaging. Due to lower achievable echo times compared to diffusometry, MWF maps from relaxometry have higher quality. Whilst 1D multi-component T1 data allows much faster myelin mapping, 2D approaches could offer unique insights into tissue microstructure and especially myelin diffusion.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{RadtkeBeySackmannetal.2023, author = {Radtke, Henrik and Bey, Henrik and Sackmann, Moritz and Sch{\"o}n, Torsten}, title = {Predicting Driver Behavior on the Highway with Multi-Agent Adversarial Inverse Reinforcement Learning}, booktitle = {IEEE IV 2023 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium: Proceedings}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {979-8-3503-4691-6}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/IV55152.2023.10186547}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{WeiglSchusterRiener2021, author = {Weigl, Klemens and Schuster, Sabrina and Riener, Andreas}, title = {Investigation of UX and Flow Experience in Sports Activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic: A Comparative Analysis of Cycling Apps}, booktitle = {icSPORTS 2021: 9th International Conference on Sport Sciences Research and Technology Support: Proceedings}, editor = {Pezarat-Correia, Pedro and Vilas-Boas, Jo{\~a}o P. and Cabri, Jan}, publisher = {SciTePress}, address = {Set{\´u}bal}, isbn = {978-989-758-539-5}, issn = {2184-3201}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.5220/0010688200003059}, pages = {68}, year = {2021}, abstract = {Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, a dramatic increase in mHealth application (app) downloads has been documented. However, overall dwell retention for fitness apps is low, so gamification techniques are used within apps with the goal of positively influencing the user experience and ultimately the user's motivation. The so-called flow, which is related to intrinsic motivation, has been little explored in the context of cycling apps. Therefore, we conducted a quasi-experimental cycling study with 34 cyclists (20 female, 14 male; 19 to 57 years old) who tested the adidas Running by Runtastic (Adidas Runtastic), Komoot, and Strava cycling apps during a 20-minute bike ride. After testing each cycling app, they completed the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and the Flow State Scale-2 Short (FSS-2S). Our results showed no significant differences across the six factors of the UEQ, nor across the total score of the FSS-2S. Thus, we conclude that the three cycling apps Adidas Runta stic, Komoot, and Strava are perceived and rated almost equally by female and male cyclists.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{MalvePeintnerSadeghianetal.2023, author = {Malve, Bhavana and Peintner, Jakob and Sadeghian, Shadan and Riener, Andreas}, title = {"Do You Want to Drive Together?" - A Use Case Analysis on Cooperative, Automated Driving}, booktitle = {15th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces: Adjunct Conference Proceedings}, publisher = {ACM}, address = {New York}, isbn = {979-8-4007-0112-2}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1145/3581961.3609871}, pages = {209 -- 214}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @article{SalamatYaghmaeiElsbacheretal.2023, author = {Salamat, Babak and Yaghmaei, Abolfazl and Elsbacher, Gerhard and Tonello, Andrea M. and Yazdanpanah, Mohammad Javad}, title = {An Innovative Control Design Procedure for Under-Actuated Mechanical Systems: Emphasizing Potential Energy Shaping and Structural Preservation}, volume = {2}, journal = {IEEE Open Journal of Control Systems}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {New York}, issn = {2694-085X}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/OJCSYS.2023.3320512}, pages = {356 -- 365}, year = {2023}, abstract = {In this paper, we propose a procedure to solve the controlled design for a class of underactuated mechanical systems. Our proposed method can be viewed as a sub-method of the IDA-PBC or Controlled Lagrangian approaches, with a particular focus on shaping the potential energy. By emphasizing potential energy shaping, we can effectively tackle the bottleneck presented by the matching equation in these approaches. Moreover, our method leverages a suitable coordinate transformation that is inspired by the physics of the system, further enhancing its efficacy. Therefore, our design procedure is based on a coordinate transformation plus potential energy shaping in the new coordinates, and its existence and possibility of potential energy shaping can be verified via some algebraic calculations, making it constructive. To illustrate the results, we consider the cart-pole system and a recently introduced underactuated mechanical system named swash mass pendulum (SMP) [1]. The SMP consists of a pendulum made of a rigid shaft connected to a pair of cross-shafts where two swash masses can move under the action of servo-mechanisms.}, language = {en} } @article{JuPflegingRiener2022, author = {Ju, Wendy and Pfleging, Bastian and Riener, Andreas}, title = {Radical Innovation and Design for Connected and Automated Vehicles}, volume = {12}, journal = {Dagstuhl Reports}, number = {5}, publisher = {Schloss Dagstuhl}, address = {Dagstuhl}, issn = {2192-5283}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.4230/DagRep.12.5.188}, pages = {188 -- 230}, year = {2022}, abstract = {This report documents the program and the outcomes of Dagstuhl Seminar 22222 "Radical Innovation and Design for Connected and Automated Vehicles". Automated driving will most likely be the next big change in individual mobility. While research is still primarily concerned with technical challenges of Automated Driving Systems (ADS), HCI researchers and designers already started to develop concepts on how to use privately owned ADS as a space for non-driving-related activities, going beyond what is possible today. There is, however, room to think about creative ways to use automated vehicles (AV) and connected technology towards the public interest beyond incremental changes, which is what we addressed in this seminar. We challenged the current generative/evaluative research approach for automated driving systems against a radical innovations attempt and questioned whether the current incremental research approach is appropriate for the development of future vehicles. As an integral part of the seminar we wanted participants to learn from each other and to disseminate each individual's experience for boosting subsequent research by trying out different methods that support the "out of the box" thinking (e.g., brainwriting, bodystorming, focus groups, World Caf{\´e}, amongst others).}, language = {en} } @article{WeidnerSchwabWerleetal.2022, author = {Weidner, Felix M. and Schwab, Julian D. and Werle, Silke D. and Ikonomi, Nensi and Lausser, Ludwig and Kestler, Hans A.}, title = {Response to the letter to the editor: On the feasibility of dynamical analysis of network models of biochemical regulation}, volume = {38}, journal = {Bioinformatics}, number = {14}, publisher = {Oxford University Press}, address = {Oxford}, issn = {1367-4811}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1093/bioinformatics/btac318}, pages = {3676}, year = {2022}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{LoeckenvonSawitzkyBaueretal.2023, author = {L{\"o}cken, Andreas and von Sawitzky, Tamara and Bauer, Janine and Riener, Andreas}, title = {Exploring the Potential of eHMIs as Traffic Light Alternatives}, booktitle = {15th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces: Adjunct Conference Proceedings}, publisher = {ACM}, address = {New York}, isbn = {979-8-4007-0112-2}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1145/3581961.3609885}, pages = {99 -- 104}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{DongNadriAlvarezetal.2023, author = {Dong, Jiayuan and Nadri, Chihab and Alvarez, Ignacio and Diels, Cyriel and Lee, Myeongkyu and Li, Jingyi and Liao, Pei Hsuan and Manger, Carina and Sadeghian, Shadan and Schuß, Martina and Walker, Bruce N. and Walker, Francesco and Wang, Yiyuan and Jeon, Myounghoon}, title = {"Play Your Anger": A Report on the Empathic In-vehicle Interface Workshop}, booktitle = {15th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces: Adjunct Conference Proceedings}, publisher = {ACM}, address = {New York}, isbn = {979-8-4007-0112-2}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1145/3581961.3609865}, pages = {168 -- 173}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{PfeilschifterHegnerPeintneretal.2023, author = {Pfeilschifter, Claus and Hegner, Franziska and Peintner, Jakob and Weißenberger, Markus and Riener, Andreas}, title = {"I want to platoon a lot... or maybe just a little?" - An interactive experience for automated platooning.}, booktitle = {15th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces: Adjunct Conference Proceedings}, publisher = {ACM}, address = {New York}, isbn = {979-8-4007-0112-2}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1145/3581961.3609848}, pages = {297 -- 299}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{SchussHimmelsRiener2023, author = {Schuß, Martina and Himmels, Chantal and Riener, Andreas}, title = {Development of a Perceived Security Scale for Shared Automated Vehicles (PSSAV) and its Validation in Colombia and Germany}, booktitle = {15th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces: Main Conference Proceedings}, publisher = {ACM}, address = {New York}, isbn = {979-8-4007-0105-4}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1145/3580585.3607177}, pages = {52 -- 62}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @article{SchuhmacherHinderBogeretal.2023, author = {Schuhmacher, Alexander and Hinder, Markus and Boger, Nikolaj and Gassmann, Oliver and Hartl, Dominik}, title = {Is the blockbuster imperative broken?}, volume = {28}, pages = {103789}, journal = {Drug Discovery Today}, number = {11}, publisher = {Elsevier}, address = {Amsterdam}, issn = {1878-5832}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1016/j.drudis.2023.103789}, year = {2023}, language = {en} } @thesis{Lochner2023, author = {Lochner, Samuel}, title = {Konzept und Design eines digitalen Friedhofs als benutzerorientierter Ort der Trauer und Erinnerung}, publisher = {Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt}, address = {Ingolstadt}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:bvb:573-40174}, pages = {94}, school = {Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt}, year = {2023}, abstract = {Friedh{\"o}fe und Gr{\"a}ber sind die {\"a}ltesten Zeugnisse der menschlichen Zivilisation, welche je gefunden wurden.
