The advent of automated driving will drive this trend even further. Today, accident investigation, as well as warranty claim analysis, need to take into consideration an analysis of the rapidly increasing proportion of software and security based implementations as part of modern vehicles, the so-called digital forensics. This paper evaluates the general feasibility of digital forensics on a state-of-the-art vehicle. To do so, we analyzed current digital forensics techniques on a state-of-the-art vehicle to constitute gaps in the automotive forensics process used on in-vehicle systems. We present a general process for automotive forensics to close existing gaps and implemented it on a state-of-the-art vehicle in an in-vehicle device manipulation scenario. The implementation uses the on-board diagnostics interface, the diagnostics over internet protocol, as well as the unified diagnostic services for communication. Our implementation requires automotive Ethernet at the diagnostic interface. Our research shows future directions for efficient automotive forensic as well as the exemplary feasibility of automotive forensic analysis on state-of-the-art vehicles without the need for additional invehicle components such as intrusion detection systems or event data recorders.}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{MathiasSchmiedGrossmannetal.2020, author = {Mathias, Selvine George and Schmied, Sebastian and Großmann, Daniel and Mueller, Ralph and Mroß, Bj{\"o}rn}, title = {A Compliance Testing Structure for Implementation of Industry Standards through OPC UA}, booktitle = {Proceedings 2020 25th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-8956-7}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ETFA46521.2020.9212119}, pages = {1091 -- 1094}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{MuellerGrossmannSchmiedetal.2020, author = {Mueller, Ralph and Großmann, Daniel and Schmied, Sebastian and Mathias, Selvine George}, title = {Validation of dynamic interoperability and virtual commissioning of production equipment in early development stages}, booktitle = {Proceedings 2020 25th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-8956-7}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ETFA46521.2020.9211988}, pages = {1159 -- 1162}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{SchmiedGrossmannMathiasetal.2020, author = {Schmied, Sebastian and Großmann, Daniel and Mathias, Selvine George and Mueller, Ralph}, title = {An approach for aggregation and historicization of production entities in the graph}, booktitle = {Proceedings 2020 25th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-8956-7}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ETFA46521.2020.9211907}, pages = {1107 -- 1110}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{MathiasSchmiedGrossmann2020, author = {Mathias, Selvine George and Schmied, Sebastian and Großmann, Daniel}, title = {Monitoring of discrete electrical signals from welding processes using data mining and IIoT approaches}, booktitle = {Proceedings, IEEE 32nd International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence, (ICTAI 2020)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-9228-4}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ICTAI50040.2020.00142}, pages = {911 -- 916}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{SchmiedGrossmannMathiasetal.2020, author = {Schmied, Sebastian and Großmann, Daniel and Mathias, Selvine George and Mueller, Ralph}, title = {An approach for an industrial information model management}, booktitle = {Proceedings, 2020 IEEE Conference on Industrial Cyberphysical Systems (ICPS)}, publisher = {IEEE}, address = {Piscataway}, isbn = {978-1-7281-6389-5}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1109/ICPS48405.2020.9274751}, pages = {402 -- 405}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{GajekSchiendorferReif2019, author = {Gajek, Carola and Schiendorfer, Alexander and Reif, Wolfgang}, title = {A chained neural network model for photovoltaic power forecast}, booktitle = {Machine Learning, Optimization, and Data Science: 5th International Conference, LOD 2019, Siena, Italy, September 10-13, 2019, Proceedings}, editor = {Nicosia, Giuseppe and Pardalos, Panos and Umeton, Renato and Giuffrida, Giovanni and Sciacca, Vincenzo}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Cham}, isbn = {978-3-030-37598-0}, issn = {0302-9743}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-37599-7_47}, pages = {566 -- 578}, year = {2019}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{SchiendorferReif2019, author = {Schiendorfer, Alexander and Reif, Wolfgang}, title = {Reducing bias in preference aggregation for multiagent soft constraint problems}, booktitle = {Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming, 25th International Conference, CP 2019, Proceedings}, editor = {Schiex, Thomas and de Givry, Simon}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Cham}, isbn = {978-3-030-30047-0}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-30048-7_30}, pages = {510 -- 526}, year = {2019}, language = {en} } @article{VogtMuellerKampaetal.2021, author = {Vogt, Anna and Mueller, Ralph and Kampa, Thomas and Stark, Rainer and Großmann, Daniel}, title = {Concept and architecture for information exchange between digital twins of the product (CPS) and the production system (CPPS)}, journal = {Procedia CIRP}, publisher = {Elsevier}, address = {Amsterdam}, issn = {2212-8271}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.1016/j.procir.2021.11.217}, pages = {1292 -- 1297}, year = {2021}, abstract = {The Digital Twin concept and CPS- and IIoT-based approaches are increasingly important topics concerning future Industry 4.0 architectures. Determining the severity of collisions between sUAVs and aircraft structures is essential for the safe use and integration of drones in airspace. A generic analytical calculation model needs to be developed to supplement the existing test and simulation data. This paper presents an analytic model for drone collisions with perpendicular and inclined targets. The targets have a rigid or elastic material behavior. The aircraft impact model, which is used for the design of nuclear reactor structures, is transferred and adjusted for sUAV impacts to calculate the impact force. A mass- and a burst load distribution are needed as input parameters. Both distributions are determined for an sUAV design depending on the flight direction. Compared to previous calculations, the new approach is to consider a moving target structure, which produces more realistic results. We compare the calculation results with simulation data from sUAV collisions with a commercial airliner windshield from the literature. The calculations show plausible results and a good agreement with literature data. Subsequently, the influence of the input parameters on the impact force is investigated. We see that spring stiffness, target mass, burst load distribution and damping have minor influence on the overall impact force. The impact velocity, mass distribution and flight orientation on the other hand have a major influence on the impact force. This method combines reinforcement learning (RL) and neural networks to achieve the possibility of controlling nonlinear systems with real-time capabilities. Actor-critic algorithms were already applied with success in different controllers including autonomous driving, antilock braking system (ABS), and electronic stability control (ESC). However, in the current researches, virtual environments are implemented for the training process instead of using real plants to obtain the datasets. This limitation is given by trial and error methods implemented for the training process, which generates considerable risks in case the controller directly acts on the real plant. In this way, the present research proposes and evaluates an open-loop training process, which permits the data acquisition without the control interaction and an open-loop training of the neural networks. The performance of the trained controllers is evaluated by a design of experiments (DOE) to understand how it is affected by the generated dataset. The results present a successful application of open-loop training architecture. The controller can maintain the slip ratio under adequate levels during maneuvers on different floors, including grounds that are not applied during the training process. The actor neural network is also able to identify the different floors and change the acceleration profile according to the characteristics of each ground.}, language = {en} }
