Such process models can be derived from standards and norms in project management. During the 20th century, traditional, plan-based standards and norms were published by various international organizations such as the Project Management Institute or the International Project Management Association. Today, the variety of approaches includes not only the traditional ones, but also agile project management and hybrid combinations. In this paper, important standards and norms are summarized and compared. Strategies in training, professional application and the design of new procedural models can be derived from the results.
