However, it can also be beneficial in project management to better understand processes and lead to efficiency-enhancing improvements. As work in projects becomes increasingly important, this paper presents the different applications of process mining in project management. For this purpose, the current state of research on process mining in the context of project management will be described, based on a systematic literature review. This review shows the different application areas and project focuses of the different research approaches. Furthermore, it gives an overview which tools and algorithms have been used in previous research and which data has been used to create an event log. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are affected particularly, as they typically struggle, even stronger than bigger firms, with a lack of human capital and limited time for further education. To address these challenges, different institutions have identified micro degrees as a possibility to provide necessary further education in short time. Such micro degrees have been developed and offered by the Landshut University of Applied Sciences in Bavaria, concentrating on carefully selected topics from digitalization and sustainability with a special focus on the needs of SMEs. The study presented in this paper investigates the involvement of Bavarian SMEs in the micro degrees and which groups of employees they attracted throughout the offered program. It compares the structure of the micro degree participants, e.g., regarding gender, educational background, and age, to the general structure of employees in Bavaria and to the structure of participants in further education overall. It turns out that the offered micro degrees are generally well appreciated, but rather by people with academic background, rather by men than by women, and rather by young to medium-aged people. We present a machine learning system for frost prediction that combines multi-source weather data with dimensionality reduction for agricultural decision support. We develop a system that synthesizes data from 97 permanent weather stations operated by FDF (Fundaci ´on para el Desarrollo Frut´{\i}cola), real-time weather APIs, and forecast services, applying Random Forest and XGBoost models with PCA-based dimensionality reduction to predict frost conditions up to 24 hours in advance. Our feature engineering incorporates temporal cyclical encoding, rolling statistics across multiple time windows, lagged features, and lead features from weather forecasts, producing 421 features reduced to 124 PCA components. The regression models achieve promising results: XGBoost obtains MAE of 1.29°C (R²=0.94) for 1-hour forecasts and MAE of 3.32°C (R²=0.51) for 24-hour forecasts. Humidity prediction achieves MAE of 5.2\% (R²=0.88) at 1-hour and 10.1\% (R²=0.47) at 24-hour horizons. The PCA approach substantially improves performance compared to using all features directly, demonstrating the importance of dimensionality reduction for high-dimensional weather feature sets. This work provides a practical framework for agricultural frost prediction, with short-term temperature forecasts (1-6 hours) achieving accuracy suitable for supporting frost risk assessment, though binary frost classification remains challenging due to class imbalance.}, language = {en} }
