Our results indicate that information overload adversely affects managerial performance and mediates the influence of system quality and deep structure usage on managerial performance. We find that system quality is positively related to information overload. Our sample consists of the FTSE-350 firms and a matched control group of US firms. We use textual analysis to assess the disclosure of the mandated sustainability topics in firms' annual reports. Start intention detection is realized using sequences of frame-wise estimated 3D poses. The poses were obtained by image sequences recorded by a stereo camera mounted behind the windshield of a moving vehicle. For training and evaluation, a dataset with 206 starting cyclists was created in real traffic. We demonstrate the advantages of this approach by comparing it to an existing, solely head trajectory based method. In particular, we investigate the performance for different observed time horizons ranging from 0.12 s up to 1.0 s as inputs for the two methods. This is of special importance for the protection of cyclists in road traffic, as they often only become visible to approaching vehicles shortly before dangerous situations occur. With an input length of 1.0 s the solely head trajectory based approach detects starting motions on average 0.834 s after the first motion of the bicycle with an F1-score of 97.5 \%. The pose based approach outperforms these results by achieving the same F1-score 0.135 s earlier. The advantages of the pose based method become even more obvious with shorter input lengths. With an input length of 0.12 s, the head based approach achieves an F1-score of 93.5 \% after 2.37 s, while the same score is reached after 0.668 s using poses.}, subject = {Fahrerassistenzsystem}, language = {en} } @incollection{FreytagKrueger1999, author = {Freytag, Andreas and Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {Currency Boards}, series = {Knapps Enzyklop{\"a}disches Lexikon des Geld-, Bank- und B{\"o}rsenwesens}, booktitle = {Knapps Enzyklop{\"a}disches Lexikon des Geld-, Bank- und B{\"o}rsenwesens}, editor = {Cramer, J{\"o}rg E. and Thießen, Friedrich}, publisher = {Knapp}, address = {Frankfurt am Main}, pages = {340 -- 343}, year = {1999}, subject = {Geldpolitik}, language = {de} } @incollection{Krueger2000, author = {Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {New Monetary Economic}, series = {Geld-, Bank- und B{\"o}rsenlexikon}, booktitle = {Geld-, Bank- und B{\"o}rsenlexikon}, publisher = {Sch{\"a}ffer-Poeschel}, address = {Stuttgart}, year = {2000}, subject = {Geldtheorie}, language = {en} } @techreport{BoehleKruegerHerrmannetal.2000, type = {Working Paper}, author = {B{\"o}hle, Knud and Kr{\"u}ger, Malte and Herrmann, C. and Carat, G{\´e}rard and Maghiros, Ioannis}, title = {Electronic Payment Systems - Strategic and Technical Issues - Background Paper No. 1, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory (ePSO), Sevilla}, volume = {Dezember 2000}, year = {2000}, subject = {Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr}, language = {en} } @techreport{Krueger2000, type = {Working Paper}, author = {Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {M-Payments and the Role of Telcos}, series = {ePSO-Newsletter, October 2000}, journal = {ePSO-Newsletter, October 2000}, pages = {4 -- 7}, year = {2000}, subject = {Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr}, language = {en} } @techreport{Krueger2001, type = {Working Paper}, author = {Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {Interchange Fees in the Line of Fire}, series = {ePSO-Newsletter, January 2001}, journal = {ePSO-Newsletter, January 2001}, number = {4}, pages = {5 -- 7}, year = {2001}, subject = {Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr}, language = {en} } @techreport{Krueger2001, type = {Working Paper}, author = {Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {The Future of M-payments - Business Options and Policy Issues}, series = {Background Paper No. 2, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory, Institute for Prospective Technological Studies, Sevilla}, journal = {Background Paper No. 2, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory, Institute for Prospective Technological Studies, Sevilla}, year = {2001}, subject = {Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr}, language = {en} } @techreport{BoehleKrueger2001, type = {Working Paper}, author = {B{\"o}hle, Knud and Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {Payments Culture Matters - A Comparative EU-US Perspective on Payment Cultures}, series = {Background Paper No. 4, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory, Institute for Prospective Technological Studies, Sevilla}, journal = {Background Paper No. 4, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory, Institute for Prospective Technological Studies, Sevilla}, year = {2001}, subject = {Elektronischer Zahlungsverkehr}, language = {en} } @techreport{Krueger2001, type = {Working Paper}, author = {Kr{\"u}ger, Malte}, title = {Innovation and Regulation - The Case of E-money Regulation in the EU}, series = {Background Paper No. 5, Electronic Payment Systems Observatory; Therefore, we are using a network architecture based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) cells, which is able to handle input sequences of different lengths. This is important because, for example, due to occlusions, cyclists often only become visible to approaching vehicles shortly before dangerous situations occur. Hence, the dependency of the results on the input sequence length is investigated. We use a dataset with 206 situations where cyclists were transitioning from waiting to moving that was recorded from a moving vehicle in inner-city traffic. With an input sequence length of 1.0 s we achieve an F1-score of 96.2\% on average 0.680 s after the first movement of the bicycle. We obtain similar results for sequence lengths down to 0.2 s. For shorter sequences, the results regarding the F1-score and the mean detection time deteriorate considerably.}, subject = {Fahrerassistenzsystem}, language = {en} } @article{Roetzel2019, author = {R{\"o}tzel, Peter}, title = {Information overload in the information age: a review of the literature from business administration, business psychology, and related disciplines with a bibliometric approach and framework development}, series = {Business Research}, volume = {12}, journal = {Business Research}, number = {2}, doi = {10.1007/s40685-018-0069-z}, pages = {479 -- 522}, year = {2019}, abstract = {In the light of the information age, information overload research in new areas (e.g., social media, virtual collaboration) rises rapidly in many fields of research in business administration with a variety of methods and subjects. This review article analyzes the development of information overload literature in business administration and related interdisciplinary fields and provides a comprehensive and overarching overview using a bibliometric literature analysis combined with a snowball sampling approach. For the last decade, this article reveals research directions and bridges of literature in a wide range of fields of business administration (e.g., accounting, finance, health management, human resources, innovation management, international management, information systems, marketing, manufacturing, or organizational science). This review article identifies the major papers of various research streams to capture the pulse of the information overload-related research and suggest new questions that could be addressed in the future and identifies concrete open gaps for further research. Simulations of the diffraction patterns showed that transition layers of approximately 2 monolayer (ML) thickness with high lattice mismatch exist at the interfaces.
