The hack is to use the total reflection from the low density material (which do not suffer much the photoelectric absorption) at low energy, while the photons at high energy are reflected by the high density material. Now for several future projects like e.g. ATHENA and eXTP it is foreseen the use of low density overcoatings that will importantly increase the effective area at low energy. In this poster we will discuss about the use of materials different from the ones considered so far, in particular based on a thin layer of Chromium followed by another layer of a Carbon-like material, and of novel approaches for their application.}, subject = {R{\"o}ntgenteleskop}, language = {en} } @techreport{FeldhoffLiuFeldhoff2019, type = {Working Paper}, author = {Feldhoff, Charlotte H. and Liu, Yi and Feldhoff, Patricia R.}, title = {Does Microfinance have an impact on borrower's consumption patterns and women's empowerment?}, series = {Weidener Diskussionspapiere Nr. 67}, journal = {Weidener Diskussionspapiere Nr. 67}, pages = {48}, year = {2019}, abstract = {This paper conducts a thorough data analysis using cross-sectional data from a study carried out in Mexico including over 16,500 observations. The clusters were randomly assigned to either the treatment or the control group. Frau Lucia Falkenberg, Chief People Officer (CPO) und Leiterin der Kompetenzgruppe New Work des eco - Verband der Internetwirtschaft e. At the same time as (erroneously) treating them like conventional cartel prices, they have also mandated an upper ceiling for them — effectively legitimising the concept. As this paper demonstrates, classifying MIFs with standard cartel pricing is a categorical error. A capped MIF is simply one ingredient of a well-functioning card payment system. Indeed, without MIFs, payments markets suffer free-rider problems and high transaction costs. To illustrate how MIFs curtail the tendency of prices to move upward, the paper examines the German ATM system before 2011. Finally, the paper argues that the current regulatory approach may lead to the demise of those European card schemes that are currently under pressure from MasterCard and Visa.}, subject = {Kreditkartengesch{\"a}ft}, language = {en} } @article{GoldhammerKoehlerZernetschetal.2019, author = {Goldhammer, Michael and K{\"o}hler, Sebastian and Zernetsch, Stefan and Doll, Konrad and Sick, Bernhard and Dietmayer, Klaus}, title = {Intentions of Vulnerable Road Users - Detection and Forecasting by Means of Machine Learning}, series = {IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems}, volume = {2020}, journal = {IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems}, number = {21 / 7}, doi = {10.1109/TITS.2019.2923319}, pages = {3035 -- 3045}, year = {2019}, subject = {Fahrerassistenzsystem}, language = {en} } @phdthesis{Koerbitzer2019, author = {K{\"o}rbitzer, Berit Silke}, title = {Untersuchung funktioneller Schnittstellen zwischen Graphen und neuronalen Zellen}, doi = {10.25534/tuprints-00011462}, school = {Technische Hochschule Aschaffenburg}, year = {2019}, subject = {Mikroelektrode}, language = {de} } @article{HartmannCandraNelles2019, author = {Hartmann, Kilian and Candra, Dodiek Ika and Nelles, Michael}, title = {Von einer fluktuierenden zur verl{\"a}sslichen Stromerzeugung}, series = {ew Magazin f{\"u}r die Energiewirtschaft}, volume = {04/2019}, journal = {ew Magazin f{\"u}r die Energiewirtschaft}, number = {7655}, pages = {42 -- 44}, year = {2019}, abstract = {Erneuerbare-Energien-Anlagen speisen ihren Strom bisher vorwiegend fluktuierend in die Stromnetze ein. Due to the high heterogeneity degree in a digester the sampling errors are larger than the analysis error, making representative sampling a prerequisite for successful process control. In our system, samples are automatically processed, generating a higher density of data and avoiding human error by sample manipulation.
