Paralysis caused by infection: Acute neuroborreliosis
- Militärangehörige akquirieren aufgrund ihres Expositionsrisikos wahrscheinlich vermehrt Borreliose-Infektionen. Kenntnisse zum Krankheitsbild sind wichtig, um früh einen abwendbar gefährlichen Verlauf zu erkennen. In dieser Fallbesprechung werden die typische und gefährliche Manifestatioin einer Neuroborreliose, die dazugehörigen diagnostischen Schritte sowie Therapieoptionen dargestellt.
- Due to their exposure soldiers are facing an increased risk to develop Lyme disease. Therefore, knowledge of the clinical picture is important to recognize a preventably dangerous course of this infection. This case report will discuss the typical clinical presentation, diagnostic approach, and therapeutic options of neuroborreliosis.
