Focus-based brief parent-infant psychotherapy (PIP-f) was developed to support parents 'mentalize' their child's affective states and promote a healthy parent-child relationship and child development. Efficacy of PIP-f was evaluated against care-as-usual (CAU) in a randomized controlled trial within the SKKIPPI project. Method N = 120 mothers diagnosed with an ICD-10 psychopathological disorder and their infants under one year were randomly assigned to PIP-f (n = 57) or CAU (n = 63). Primary outcome was maternal sensitivity in mother-child interaction after 6 weeks of intervention. Secondary outcomes include maternal and child psychopathological symptoms, child development, parenting stress, emotional availability, parental reflective functioning and child attachment after 6 weeks and 12 months. Results PIP-f was not superior to CAU in maternal sensitivity (b = 0.129, 95\%CI [-0.161, 0.418], p = 0.378) at post-intervention, nor in maternal symptoms (b =-0.702, [-2.603, 1.198], p = 0.463) or child symptoms of regulatory disorder (b = 1.079, [-2.344, 4.502], p = 0.531). Attachment security assessed at 12 months did not differ between intervention groups (OR = 2.0, [0.64, 6.33], p = 0.226). Moderator analyses suggest that emotional availability and parental reflective functioning improve up to 12 months for more severe cases. Conclusion Differences between PIP-f and CAU were smaller than expected, but PIP-f seemed to reduce symptoms of mental health problems. Some evidence exists that mothers with higher symptom burden benefit from PIP-f. High dropout rates and initially high emotional availability prevent generalizability. It aims to identify the morphological and typological principles that make the block a resilient structure, capable of ensuring density, spatial clarity, and a balanced relationship between public, collective, and private spheres. Focusing on reformed urban blocks built in Berlin between 1890 and 1940, this paper examines the intersection of urban morphology, housing reform, and metropolitan architecture, addressing them not primarily as historical objects, but as spatial and typological models relevant to contemporary urban challenges. The research is based on historical and archival sources, morphological analysis, typological classification, and the systematic redrawing of selected case studies at multiple scales, from the urban fabric to apartment layouts and architectural details. Exemplary cases were selected and redrawn in order to allow direct comparison and measurement of spatial and typological features. This study addresses these gaps. Before the 2021 German federal elections, we surveyed individuals in Germany concerned about climate change (N=2,477) or asylum policies (N=3,177) using a large, innovative social media sample. We assessed positive and negative feelings toward supporters and opponents of progressive policies on these issues and the perceived emotional alignment with these opinion-based groups. Cluster analyses reveal two affectively polarized groups, a group of resenters characterized by negative affect and emotional disalignment, and three groups showing affective differentiation but lacking emotional identification. Compared to the other groups, the two polarized opinion-based groups perceive themselves as being more emotionally similar to like-minded citizens and more dissimilar from those with opposing views. They also experience consistent, yet distinct patterns of emotions towards like-minded and dissenting others regarding anger, disgust, contempt, and joy. The two groups are socio-demographically distinct and have less contact with people holding opposite views. These structural divisions are reflected in behavioral patterns. Polarized groups engage in more political discussions, especially with strong ties. However, only polarized conservatives tend to engage in political discussions with weak ties, such as colleagues or acquaintances. While previous cross-linguistic studies have typically addressed these aspects in isolation, this paper explicitly investigates both processes simultaneously, assessing language-specific and perceptual factors contributing to lexical acquisition. Using previously collected Japanese data (re-analyzed here for comparative purposes) and newly collected German data, we explore how input frequency, naming inconsistency, category size, and perceptual saliency influence these processes. Our findings show that centroid mapping in both languages is primarily shaped by input frequency, that is, children learn prototypical meanings by hearing the respective color words often. In contrast, boundary delineation is predicted by naming consistency in adult speakers, that is, children's differentiation of color categories is based on the consistency with which adults refer to the same color with the same word. The structural characteristics of each language's lexicon affect these qualitative aspects, highlighting an interplay between perceptual constraints and language-specific lexical structures. This comparative approach provides novel insights into lexical and conceptual development, contributing to broader theoretical debates on continuity and discontinuity in semantic acquisition and informing computational models of lexical development.}, subject = {Deutsch}, language = {en} } @incollection{GerlingJaeger, author = {Gerling, Winfried and J{\"a}ger, Jens}, title = {A Conversation with Fatimah M.
