Wann aber der Spaß aufh{\"o}rt und der Ernst beginnt, das haben Filmemacher und Publikum stets aufs Neue ausgelotet. Das neue CineGraph Buch zeigt, dass sich Kurt Tucholskys Frage "Was darf Satire?" in der Filmgeschichte nicht pauschal mit "Alles" beantworten l{\"a}sst, sondern die Antwort immer abh{\"a}ngig vom historischen Kontext, insbesondere den jeweiligen Machtstrukturen ist. Anstoß f{\"u}r die satirischen Filmproduktionen gaben gesellschaftliche sowie politische Ereignisse wie der Zweite Weltkrieg, die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Nationalsozialismus, der Kalte Krieg, das Wirtschaftswunder, die Entwicklung der Medien oder die kapitalistische Gesellschaft. Das kritisch-unterhaltsame Genre weist ein facettenreiches Spektrum an Filmen auf, von denen einige in den Beitr{\"a}gen dieses Buches n{\"a}her betrachtet werden, darunter "Der Maulkorb" (DE 1937/38), "Der Untertan" (DDR 1951), "Animal Farm" (GB 1951-54), die Satire-Serie "Das Stacheltier" (DDR 1953-65), "Wir Wunderkinder" (BRD 1958), "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" (GB/US 1964) sowie "Er ist wieder da" (DE 2014/15). Zum Thema des Sammelbandes erschien im November 2019 bereits das cinefest-Katalogbuch "Dr. Seltsam oder: Aus den Wolken kommt das Gl{\"u}ck. However, they typically are not among the leading voices within the cartography community simply due to experience. To this end, we organized a Next Generation Cartographers (NGC) workshop at EuroCarto 2022 to identify opportunities and challenges for the next generation of cartographers. During our discussions, advocacy, peer support, mentorship, and outreach emerged as key needs of next generation cartographers and, ultimately, the need for NGC to have a voice in ICA planning. Inclusion became a core value of NGC to promote safety and diversity across the cartography community. Inspired by existing efforts in critical cartography, we show how people share personal memories in a visualization of COVID-19 data and how comments by other visualization readers influence the reading and understanding of visualizations. Analyzing interaction logs, reader surveys, visualization annotations, and interviews, we find that reader annotations help other viewers relate to other people's stories and reflect on their own experiences. Further, we found that annotations embedded directly into the visualization can serve as social traces guiding through a visualization and help readers contextualize their own stories. With that, they supersede the attention paid to data encodings and become the main focal point of the visualization.}, subject = {Annotation}, language = {en} } @misc{GottsmannWrobel, author = {Gottsmann, Frank and Wrobel, Egon Igor}, title = {S{\"a}ulen}, subject = {Malerei}, language = {de} } @incollection{Distelmeyer, author = {Distelmeyer, Jan}, title = {Kritik der Digitalit{\"a}t (und was Interfaces dazu beitragen)}, series = {Jahrbuch f{\"u}r Kulturpolitik 2023/24 : Kultur(en) der Digitalit{\"a}t}, booktitle = {Jahrbuch f{\"u}r Kulturpolitik 2023/24 : Kultur(en) der Digitalit{\"a}t}, editor = {Sievers, Simon and Pfaff, Sophie and Heid, Katherine}, publisher = {transcript Verlag}, address = {Bielefeld}, isbn = {978-3-8376-7524-5}, doi = {10.14361/9783839475249}, publisher = {Fachhochschule Potsdam}, pages = {49 -- 55}, subject = {Medialit{\"a}t}, language = {de} } @techreport{Funke, author = {Funke, Rainer}, title = {Entwicklungsressource Design}, series = {Designbericht 1995 : Designrealisationen}, journal = {Designbericht 1995 : Designrealisationen}, editor = {Designinitiative Brandenburg-Berlin e.V. an der Fachhochschule Potsdam,}, publisher = {Westermann Kommunikation Ges. f{\"u}r Publizistik}, address = {Ingelheim}, isbn = {3-928710-28-1}, pages = {4 -- 7}, subject = {Wirtschaftsentwicklung}, language = {de} } @inproceedings{Funke, author = {Funke, Rainer}, title = {Designprozesse zwischen Hoch- und Subkultur}, series = {Objekt und Prozess}, booktitle = {Objekt und Prozess}, address = {Halle (Saale)}, pages = {111 -- 118}, subject = {Design}, language = {de} }
