In the following, we describe a system that adds a new modality to computer-supported text editing: Listening with closed eyes. We present a prototype, for which we combined a text-to-speech software, Microsoft Word and a face tracking system. It reads out the current sentence in Microsoft Word as soon as the user closes both eyes. In this paper we discuss further details of the concept and its background, describe the implementation of the prototype and disclose first user testing results, before we conclude our findings with an outlook on future research.}, subject = {Audiovisuelles Material}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{HemmertDjokicWettach, author = {Hemmert, Fabian and Djokic, Danijela and Wettach, Reto}, title = {Perspective change}, series = {AVI '08 : Proceedings of the working conference on Advanced visual interfaces}, booktitle = {AVI '08 : Proceedings of the working conference on Advanced visual interfaces}, publisher = {Association for Computing Machinery}, address = {New York}, isbn = {978-1-60558-141-5}, doi = {10.1145/1385569.1385668}, pages = {484 -- 485}, abstract = {This project explores the change of on-screen views through single-sided eye closure.
