Such systems are often referred to as smart systems because they can autonomously monitor and respond to environmental conditions and can be integrated both indoors and outdoors to detect, for example, structural anomalies. However, these systems typically have high energy consumption, data overload, and large equipment sizes, which makes them difficult to install in constrained spaces. Therefore, three challenges remain unresolved: efficient energy use, accurate data measurement, and compact installation. To address these limitations, this study proposes a two-to-one threshold sampling approach, where the CO2 measurement is activated when the specified T and RH change thresholds are exceeded. This event-driven method avoids redundant data collection, minimizes power consumption, and is suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems. The proposed approach was implemented on a low-power, small-form and self-made multivariate sensor based on the PIC16LF19156 microcontroller. In contrast, a commercial monitoring system and sensor modules based on the Arduino Uno were used for comparison. As a result, by activating only key points in the T and RH signals, the number of CO2 measurements was significantly reduced without loss of essential signal characteristics. Signal reconstruction from the reduced points demonstrated high accuracy, with a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.0089 and root mean squared error (RMSE) of 0.0117. Despite reducing the number of CO2 measurements by approximately 41.9\%, the essential characteristics of the signal were saved, highlighting the efficiency of the proposed approach. Despite its effectiveness in controlled conditions (in buildings, indoors), environmental factors such as the presence of people, ventilation systems, and room layout can significantly alter the dynamics of CO2 concentrations, which may limit the implementation of this approach. Future studies will focus on the study of adaptive threshold mechanisms and context-dependent models that can adjust to changing conditions. This approach will expand the scope of application of the proposed two-to-one sampling technique in various practical situations.}, language = {en} } @techreport{Oertel2008, author = {Oertel, Christian}, title = {Tyre models in vehicle dynamics: theory and application, part 1: vehicle dynamics tyre model}, year = {2008}, language = {en} } @article{OertelWei2012, author = {Oertel, Christian and Wei, Yintao}, title = {Tyre rolling kinematics and prediction of tyre forces and moments: part I - theory and method}, series = {In: Vehicle system dynamics 50 (2012) 11, 1673-1687}, journal = {In: Vehicle system dynamics 50 (2012) 11, 1673-1687}, doi = {10.1080/00423114.2012.694452}, pages = {1673 -- 1687}, year = {2012}, abstract = {A new method to describe tyre rolling kinematics and how to calculate tyre forces and moments is presented. The Lagrange-Euler method is used to calculate the velocity and contact deformation of a tyre structure under large deformation. The calculation of structure deformation is based on the Lagrange method, while the Euler method is used to analyse the deformation and forces in the contact area. The method to predict tyre forces and moments is built using kinematic theory and nonlinear finite element analysis. A detailed analysis of the tyre tangential contact velocity and the relationships between contact forces, contact areas, lateral forces, and yaw and camber angles has been performed for specific tyres. Research on the parametric sensitivity of tyre lateral forces and self-aligning torque on tread stiffness and friction coefficients is carried out in the second part of this paper.}, language = {en} } @article{WeiOertelShena2012, author = {Wei, Yintao and Oertel, Christian and Shena, Xiaoliang}, title = {Tyre rolling kinematics and prediction of tyre forces and moments: part II - simulation and experiment}, series = {In: Vehicle system dynamics 50 (2012) 11, 1689-1706}, journal = {In: Vehicle system dynamics 50 (2012) 11, 1689-1706}, doi = {10.1080/00423114.2012.694453}, pages = {1689 -- 1706}, year = {2012}, abstract = {There are two aims for the second part of this paper: verifying the theory presented in the first part through parameter variation and comparison between simulation and experiment, and to study the effect of the belt structure on the cornering properties of radial tyres. Research has been carried out with a passenger car radial tyre and two different kinds of truck or bus radial tyres using both simulation and experiment. This second part of the paper shows that belt structure plays an important role in the generation of tyre forces and moments in addition to the effects of the tread stiffness and friction coefficients. The theory and method presented in this paper opens a new robust way to predict the tyre forces and moments from the tyre design and provides a reliable model for a generation mechanism.}, language = {en} } @article{NiehusMoellmannTrulletal.2003, author = {Niehus, Christina and M{\"o}llmann, Klaus-Peter and Trull, Thomas and Vollmer, Michael}, title = {Umweltanalytik mit Atomabsorptions- und Fourier-Transform-Infrarot- Spektroskopie}, series = {In: Praxis der Naturwissenschaften - Physik in der Schule 52 (2003) 4, 29-36}, journal = {In: Praxis der Naturwissenschaften - Physik in der Schule 52 (2003) 4, 29-36}, pages = {29 -- 36}, year = {2003}, language = {de} } @article{VollmerMoellmann2017, author = {Vollmer, Michael and M{\"o}llmann, Klaus-Peter}, title = {Und es werde Feuer}, series = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, volume = {48}, journal = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, number = {1}, issn = {1521-3943 (Online)}, doi = {10.1002/piuz.201601467}, pages = {43 -- 44}, year = {2017}, language = {de} } @article{VollmerMoellmann2017, author = {Vollmer, Michael and M{\"o}llmann, Klaus-Peter}, title = {Und es werde Feuer}, series = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, volume = {48}, journal = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, number = {2}, issn = {1521-3943 (Online)}, doi = {10.1002/piuz.201701474}, pages = {96 -- 97}, year = {2017}, language = {de} } @article{VollmerMoellmann2018, author = {Vollmer, Michael and M{\"o}llmann, Klaus-Peter}, title = {Und sie dreht sich doch …}, series = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, volume = {49}, journal = {Physik in unserer Zeit}, number = {5}, doi = {10.1002/piuz.201801525}, pages = {254 -- 254}, year = {2018}, language = {de} }
