Personal metadata
Personal metadata is created, processed and distributed under the CC0 license for the purpose of dissemination and re-use of scientific publications.
  • Surnames and first names of persons involved in the publication
  • Surnames and first names of reviewers and supervisors
  • E-mail addresses of the involved persons
  • Affiliation of the involved persons to a chair (Fachgebiet)
  • ORCID ID of the involved persons

Usage data
Each time a user accesses the digital repository and each time a file is called up, the following data is temporarily stored in a log file and processed:
  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of the request
  • Access method chosen by the requesting computer
  • Input values transmitted by the requesting computer (e.g. file name)
  • Web server access status
  • URL from which the file was requested or the chosen function initiated
  • Browser ID
The data is stored for a period of one month and then deleted, unless a detected web attack leads to civil or criminal prosecution.


Cookies
When you visit our website, technically required "session cookies" are saved on your computer. Cookies are small text files which are used to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. They do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. You can automatically delete session cookies after closing your browser. You also have the option of deactivating the saving of cookies by adjusting your browser’s settings. Please note that if the saving of cookies is deactivated, you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.


Processing of IP addresses for statistical purposes
  • The logged IP addresses are further processed for the evaluation of user access on the document server.
  • The number of downloads of a document and accesses to the front door are evaluated.
  • The IP addresses are pseudonymized before processing.
  • The logged data is stored for a period of one month and then deleted.
  • The ePuSta software is used to create the statistical data.
