Koha is the second library management system in the academic libraries network, with almost one third of the institutions using it.
Several big universities are using Koha for a long time, and new one are opting for it each year.
Lyon 3 university was the first library to go live with Koha in 2010 and it uses almost all the modules of the ILS.
The libraries of the academic network use tools and services provided by the ABES – Bibliographic agency for higher education. KohaLa - the french Koha user group - is in touch with ABES to study new services. Kohala fund some enhancements in Koha to achieve these services. We are currently working on a project related to the OAI-PMH client. The association also thinks to propose new workflows linked to the Koha ERM module.
KohaLa as a user group, can support the academic Koha libraries and make sure that Koha evolves to get the best from the ABES tools.
