Polycondensation of various aromatic amides in P4O10 at 400 8C yields covalent triazine frameworks intergrown with a polyphosphoric acid framework (POF-CTFs). Compared to ionothermal analogs, they feature a shorter reaction time and strongly increased framework polarity for water and SO2 uptake, and SO2/CO2 selectivity
