TY - CONF A1 - Klingelhoeffer, Hellmuth T1 - Actual developments in fatigue standardisation N2 - Standardization of fatigue testing procedures takes place mainly on the international scale. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and ASTM International (formerly American Society for Testing and Materials) are the most important global players in fatigue standardization. The actual developments in fatigue standardization on ISO scale are shown. Several ISO fatigue testing standards are currently under revision. These are the strain controlled low cycle fatigue testing standard ISO 12106, the strain controlled thermo-mechanical fatigue standard ISO 12111, the force controlled axial fatigue test ISO 1099, the rotating bar bending fatigue test ISO 1134, the cyclic fatigue test DIN 50100, the statistical planning and analysis standard ISO 12107, the fatigue crack growth test ISO 12108 and the Multi-axis fatigue test ISO / TR 12112. Additionally, suggestions for measurement uncertainty annexes of ISO standards are given. Problems regarding the temperature stability of extensometers are reported. In this presentation, an overview over the actual developments in the progress of fatigue testing standards will be given.
