TY - VIDEO T1 - Testing of tanks for dangerous goods T2 - BAM-DVD N2 - Annually, approximately 200 mio. tons of dangerous goods are transported on long and short hauls within Germany, and the trend is increasing. A large part of these materials are transported in road tank vehicles, railway tank wagons and tank containers. To protect the population, the environment and technical equipment, tanks for dangerous goods require official approval. Before a dangerous goods transport may be made with a tank, it is first objected to an extensive approval procedure. This procedure is based on type tests, in which a prototype is subjected to various loads and examinations.
