    <title language="eng">Nuclear disposal - transport and storage of radioactive waste</title>
    <abstract language="eng">This presentation deals with transport, interim storage, and final disposal of radioactive material in Germany in the context of the University of Magdeburg course "Introduction to nuclear plant design and safety". The IAEA regulatory framework, relevant tests for ensuring safety, and transport packages are a major part of the transport aspect. Different interim storage designs are discussed as well as the current state of final repositories in Germany analyzed. Finally, a European perspective is given.</abstract>
