TY - CONF A1 - Hübert, Thomas T1 - Gas Sensors for Hydrogen Safety T2 - 3rd European Summer School on Hydrogen Safety, July 21-30, 2008, Belfast, UK N2 - Sensors are of increasing importance in connection with the development and expanded use of hydrogen gas as a source of energy and as a chemical reactant. The detecting principles of the main commercial available used seven sensor principles were presented. The characteristic parameters of the sensors, like detectable concentration range, sensitivity, selectivity and time response were compared. Testing and validation of sensor performance in relation to standards and application in explosive atmospheres are described.
