TY - CONF A1 - Szymoniak, Paulina A1 - Omar, Hassan A1 - Qu, Xintong A1 - Schönhals, Andreas T1 - Resolving the mystery of the molecular dynamics of epoxy-based materials using broadband dielectric spectroscopy and hypheneated calorimetry N2 - A detailed calorimetric and dielectric study on two epoxy-based nanocomposite system was performed employing bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA) cured with diethylenetriamine (DETA) and methyl tetrahydrophtalic acid anhydride (MTHPA) aas the polymer matrix and taurine-modified MgAL layered double hydroxide (T-LDH) and boehmite as nanofiller. The molecular dynamics investigation revealed an intrinsic structural heterogeneity of the epoxy materials. Moreover the polymer/particle interphase was qualitatively and quantitavely investigated.
